Draped in darkness
We follow the unknown
Mysterious roads lye ahead
For so long there were endless possibilities
But now there is only one
Hiding in the shadows
We are the necessary evil...
Reaching out through the dark
There is a light waiting
Grasping it with all my faith
Watching my fallen tears
Ripple in the sea of sorrow
As I witness all my fears
Let that light be my tomorrow
Episode 08: Truth of my Heart
Tracey sat in the auditorium with the rest of the drama club. His arms were behind his head as he slouched in the seat and his left foot was resting a top of the chair in front of him. The director was on stage, giving her directions for the night's performance. But the young telepath seemed to be in another world.
'I can't stop thinking about it... First his back starts to bleed for no reason, then those black feathers showed up and then he starts cutting his wrist again. There has to be something I can do...'
"Tracey are you listening?"
"Yeah, don't reherse the kiss. Make it special for the first audience and be sure to be well rested for tonight." He sighed, 'Damn, it's a good thing I'm a telepath...'
"Good. Anyway, yes rest up and I will see you all at 5:30. No later, remember the curtain rises at six. With that all said and done go enjoy the rest of your afternoon."
The students filed out and Tracey's thoughts remained on that one subject. He walked to his locker, opened it and placed his text books inside his bag.
"Excuse me." Came an annoying female voice.
The black haired boy's eye began to twitch. "What do you want, Michelle?"
"Is that anyway to greet your girlfriend?"
"My what?!" He turned to face her, "Are you on crack?"
"Well you and I did date and we're lovers in the play. So what do you say we..." she approached him then let her fingers linger on his chest, "get a little closer so we can stay in character..."
He grabbed onto her wrist, "You are not and never have been my girlfriend. And thanks for the offer, but I can do a lot better than you." He dropped her arm and moved away from the girl. "And for the record I'd rather die than kiss you."
"What about the play? Or should I attened your funeral before the show?"
Tracey paid no attention to her comments and exited the school. He made it to his car, got into the driver's seat and slammed his head against the stirring wheel. 'Dammit...' A tap on his door's window startled him and he quickly glanced over to see Kimberly and Jason standing next to the car. He rolled down the window, "What's up?"
"You. You've been acting odd and you're gonna get us killed if you keep spacing out like that." Kim stated.
"No one asked for your opinion."
"Calm down, Trace." Jason interjected, "I have to agree that you seem like you have a lot on your mind and you are always one to voice what you think. So why haven't you?"
"Because it doesn't concern any of you."
The blonde fire caster tunred her back to the boy in vehicle, "You can act like this all you want just not on a mission or during the play. If you screw up and embarass Michelle, I will personally set your ass on fire." She stalked off.
"No wonder I dislike Michelle so much. She hangs out with the Queen of Bitches."
Jay chuckled, "Yeah... But you don't have to be nervious. You perform almost for a living so you should do fine."
"I don't have stage fright, Jas..." He paused and shook his head as saw a glimpse of Sora's scars. "I'll be fine after tonight, but for now I need to take care of stuff before 5:30." He placed the key in the ignition, started the car and back out of his spot.
Jason stood there, watching his friend drive. "See what happens when you don't let your feelings show?" He muttered.

Tracey drove to the hospital almost in a daze. All he thought about was his best friend. 'I can't shake the feeling that you need me by your side right now... I haven't been this scared since you were hypothermic. And even then... Just please be okay...' He entered the building, rode up the elevator and took a deep breath before entering Kelly's room.
He blinked curiously as he saw that the blue haired teen was no where in sight. "Where?"
"He went home." the woman said softly.
"Is he all right?"
She nodded; "What's troubling you?"
"It's nothing..."
"Tracey, you can talk to me."
"It's nothing Kelly, I just wanted to see if Sora was okay."
"Trace, come over here." She was looking right at him, almost seeming like she was staring straight into his soul.
The violet-eyed telepath walked over and sat next to her. He felt her hand on top of his, knowing that she was trying to comfort him he faced her and sighed. "I'm scared for him."
"I know, so am I." she paused to collect her thoughts; "Your mother checked his stomach and he does have an ulcer." Her eyes began to shimmer with tears, "It pains to see him so sick..."
He nodded, "What amazes me is that he will worry about everyone and everything else, but he won't take two seconds to take care of himself..." 'He's only 16. I don't understand how someone that young can go through that much.' He then shook his head sadly, "What good am I to him? I'm never around when he needs me..."
"Don't say that. You know he doesn't think that. And I know you don't mean what you just said." She dried her eyes and let a small smile replace the sorrowful look she once had. "I know how you feel about him and I certainly know how he feels about you."
"Everyone seems to know..."
"Except possibly him. He's crazy about you, but you know he won't say anything. If you strongly care for him and love him you'll say something to him."
The boy stood from the bed, "You said he was home, right?"
"Yeah, he wanted to work on his report."
"I'm gonna go check on him. Is there anything I can do for you before I leave?"
"No, but good luck tonight."
"Thanks." He smiled, "I'm going to need it..." He walked out of the room.
~*~*~*
How could I have missed it?
My heart races as I see your face
I want to see you
But just the the thought of it
Leaves me frozen
Tracey drove rather slowly on the way to Sora's. His mind raced as Kelly's words replayed in his head. 'There's nothing wrong with it...' He tightened his grip on the stirring wheel, his knuckles almost turning white. 'Dad's still in Germany and will most likely stay there, so why should I care what he thinks? It's my life...' The car stopped in front of the apartment complex.
His black hair blew in the wind as he stepped out of the vehicle. His violet eyes locked onto the building, his hands shook as he did so. "Stop shaking..." he whispered to himself. "You're just going to see your best friend like you always do." 'So why am I so nervous?' Putting all his thoughts aside he finally managed to make his way to his friend's home.
Take my hand in yours
No one is here to witness it (don't be shy)
Someday my love
We will be one
The telepath knocked on the door and waited. No one answered so he tried again. Still no answer. This caused a black eyeborw to raise. Taking a chance he turned the doorknob. The door creeked as it opened, "Sora?" The boy called as he stepped in. Recieving no answer, he shut the door behind him and headed straight for his friend's room. 'Please... don't let me find you doing something stupid....'
He opened the bedroom door and peered inside. "Sora?" His violet eyes roamed around. Still not seeing anything he sighed and shut the door. 'Where are you?' He peeked inside the other two bedrooms just incase he was in there thinking about his mother and what have you. 'Not there...' He checked the bathroom, even though the wind caster wasn't found in there he decided to check the medicine cabinet. He sighed in relief, 'Okay, doesn't seem like you tried over dosing...'
Tracey exited the bathroom and walked into the last room in the appartment. "There you-" he began to say, but stopped when he realized that the boy was asleep at the kitchen table with his laptop.
I smile everytime I am with you
For no reason
Other than one simple fact
Though it always remains hidden
The telepath's violet eyes softened as he gazed upon Sora. "You had me worried, ya know?" He whispered. The other boy never moved, he was fast asleep. Tracey approached him and took a glance at the computer's screen. On it was a piece of his stories, Trace chuckled as he saw the blue haired teen's hand still on the keyboard. Gentlly he removed it and shut the computer down, saving the document before hand of course. He brough the top of the machine down then lefted the sleeping boy into his arms.
Someday...
That's the day I have been wishing for
Someday
Let that day be today
He walked down the hall quietly and carefully so that he wouldn't disturb his friend's slumber. Using his right foot he nudged the bedroom door fully open and used his telekinesis to pull down the covers. Tracey set the boy on the mattress, placed the stuffed panther next to him then tucked him in. "Don't worry Sora, you don't have to come to my performance tonight..." he whispered as he moved blue bangs from the other teen's eyes. 'He looks so peaceful right now...' "Just get some rest..." Shakenly he moved himself so he was leaning over Sora and placed a small, gentle, sweet kiss on his forehead.
The violet eyed boy pulled back and walked over towards the door. He stopped and looked back at the bed. 'I love you.' he thought then he stepped out.
I want to hold you
Tell you what you have meant to me
For so long
I have been foolish
~*~*~*
Sora tossed in his bed and moaned in protest when his eyes decided they didn't want to be closed anymore. "What time is it?" he mumbled to himself. He reached over to his night table and picked up his alarm clock. His sapphire eyes went wide once they had focused. "Oh crap!" He threw off the blankets and went to get his boots. "I am so late..." 'Tracey, I'm sorry...' He paused as he looked at his surroundings; "Wait... Wasn't I in the kitchen?"
He shook himself out of that, "No matter. I can still make it before the show starts." He grabbed his car keys and dashed out of the appartment.
How could you stand it?
My eyes were so clouded
But now I see the brightness
That is my tomorrow
~~~
Sora dashed through the halls of the school, trying to find the room where the cast was hanging out before the show. 'I only have four minutes before the curtain goes up...'
Someday...
That's the day I have been waiting for
Someday
Let that day be today
He stopped at the next corner when he saw a vast majority of the cast heading out to take their places. He looked to his right and saw the room they were coming out of. 'Please still be in there...' He advanced quickly and poked his head inside. "Tracey?"
The black haired teen in the back of the room turned as his name was called. He was wearing a long black robe and when he moved his left arm up to run his hand through his hair you could see red gloves. "Sora?"
"Yeah..."
"What are you doing here?"
"I came to you watch you. Why didn't you call and remind me?"
"I was at your house earlier." He took a step towards him, "You had fallen asleep in the kitchen and I brought you to your room. I thought you may want to rest, so I didn't bother waking you."
'So that's how I got there...' "It's okay." He smiled, "I can always sleep tonight. Now go out there and break a leg."
"Yeah. Thank you, Sora."
I can't live without it
I need you by my side
I will take your hand in mine
Jason leaned over to Sora, being careful not to wake his sleeping son that he held in his arms. "Are you all right with this whole kissing scene that's about to come up?" he whispered.
"Yeah..." he sounded almost unsure. "They're only acting after all."
On stage, Tracey ran out with Michelle's wrist his grasp. "Looks like we made it, Princess."
She took her hand away from him. "Please, Curio. Call me Krulyla... After all we-"
"I know, but how can our relationship work? You are the princess of this kingdom and I..." he looked out into the audience and spotted Sora sitting with Jason. 'Sora...' "I am the son of Dark Raven."
"But I love you! That's why we ran off, was it not?"
He faced her, placing his hands on her shoulders, pulling her close. "Of course it is." He leaned in, but the memory of him kissing Sora's forehead and the words of his friend's mother stopped his motion. "I'm sorry, Krulyla. But I cannot." He pulled fully away.
"Tracey, what the hell are you doing?!" The director quietly screamed as she watched her lead star.
"But I've learned not to let the one thing you believe in slip by you." He took a step back then started to walk off the stage.
Nothing will stop me
Fear means nothing when I am with you
This is the day
Someday is here
He moved up one of the ailses, "So I'm going to go out there" He stopped when he was next to Sora, "find them" He took a hold of the boy's wrist and lifted them out of his chair.
'Tracey?' The blue haired boys heart began to beat much fast than it had.
Tracey looked him are in the eye. "pull them into my arms and never let go until the end of time..." He leaned in and placed his lips on top of Sora's. Sora placed his arms around his friends waist and they stood there in their loving embrace.
Today, my love
We are one...
The days go by
And there is nothing more
To me than your love
Sunbeams hide behind darkened clouds
Just like you hiding behind the redness in you cheeks
Rain starts to fall like tears
Tears I can't stand to see you cry
Walking through the rain
I see you waiting at the street corner
Soaked to the bone, I remove my jacket
Place it on your shoulders, hoping that there is no pain
Into the night we go
For we have a job that needs to be done
I know it hurts, but I'm here with you
Fighting in the rain
It pours down still like endless tears
I will take all the blows for you
If it means for you that there is no more pain
Walk through the rain
