Waltz of the Moon

Disc 2

Elsewhere the four members of OZ found their way into a snow covered forest. Treize set the fallen girl's body down and glanced back at his three teammates. "Listen to me carefully, you must protect this area. My body may not be seen, but I hear the monsters around here can smell the astral plain." He took the girl back into his arms and started to chant a spell, then just like that he was gone.

Howl

"Zechs?" Noin questioned.

"I know, get ready. Lady Une-"

"I'm aware of what is required of me." she turned her back to the other two and cast a small barrier around the opening that Treize had made.

Growl Snarl

A pack of snow wolves came out from behind the bushes and trees. The blond haired man drew his sword as did Noin. The uni-banged girl ran forward to strike, but the wolf simply moved back.

Zechs had done the same thing that Noin tried and end up in the same result. The wolves growled and bared their teeth. Three of them stood their ground while the other two dashed forward, one after the blue mage and the other after the lightning mage.

Noin was caught off guard and was bitten on the arm while Zechs moved swiftly and ran it through with his sword. He sighed to himself before setting his eyes on the one that still held onto his girlfriend's arm.

Noin placed her free hand on the wild creature's forehead, tightening her grip ever so slowly, "Mind Crush..." a small magenta glow spread from her hand and with one last grip, the wolf let go and fell limp right next to her feet.

Zechs chanted a small spell and sent it out towards the three that were left. Two of them yelped as they were struck by the fierce lightning, the other one howled.

The wind shifted and howls were heard echoing through the forest when around seven more came out of hiding.

"Zechs."

"I know, Noin. But we have to protect the portal..."

Light shone through the darkness and the leader of OZ walked towards it. At the end of the path he saw a large building, quickly he advanced and entered. When he moved to walk in the main room, a woman with long black hair that was kept in a ponytail, blue eyes and a red mark on her face stood in his way. She wore a purple and black outfit and around her head was a bandana with a symbol that looked like a seven-pointed star.

"Make one more step and you'll be up here for another reason..." she threatened in a low tone.

"I must see Kamui immediately."

"Step aside Millenia and let him pass." A voice from behind her ordered.

"As you wish." She moved to the side and watched the outsider bow before her master.

Treize placed Mura's body in front of him. "Lord Kamui, I request that you restore this girl's life."

"And why is that?"

Treize looked him over. He had short, spiky black hair and yellow-green eyes. He seemed to have the appearance of a child as well. "I'm sure you have been observing what has been happening in the lower region. Chi plans to destroy our planet and I believe that this girl is the key to stop the senseless destruction and death."

"Hm..." Kamui glanced to the woman with long sea blue hair and aqua eyes, "Celestia, find Ruby and bring her to me."

"As you will." She walked off, but the one thing that did catch the astral walker's eye was the gem that was on her earrings. It was the same seven-pointed star.

Moments later Celestia returned with the other woman in question. The blue haired girl retook her spot next to Kamui while the red head bowed before him.

"How may I be of service?"

"Do you recognize this girl?" he pointed to the body.

She turned her gaze to look and then faced her ruler once again. "Yes, this was the girl that excepted the fate of death."

"I see." He turned back to Treize, "Leave us now, but leave her with us."

"Understood." With that he stood and walked away.

"Ruby, I want you to do what you can."

"Sir." She stood.

"Of course, don't forget to give her the mark."

"Yes." She then bent down, lifted the body and carried her out.

Noin and Zechs continued to fight off the snow wolves when the astral walker returned. His party surrounded him as he cast a teleportaion spell.

The four boys and two queens stood in the throne room. Melody was still upset, but no one could blame her. Kirin just watched her silently as their other companions decided what was to be done about the situation.

"We have to find him." Duo spoke up, breaking the small silence.

Heero sighed, "We know you're right Duo, but do have any idea on HOW we are to do this?"

"No, but I'm not supposed to be doing all the work, am I?"

"Of course not." Quatre said softly, "What Heero means is we have to think of a way before we can do anything." He thought for a second and then looked directly at the violet-eyed mage. "Duo, you were with Romefeller at one point, right? Do you know of any weaknesses Chi might have?"

"Other than pretty women, no."

"Do you know any of his abilities?"

"Not really, but you have to remember that I spent a year sealed away in a cave."

"What do you know?" Trowa asked calmly.

"He was mainly used as a strategist. The other generals plus Duke Dermail thought that he would get himself killed if he were ever in real combat, but he's not as weak as people think he is."

"That's very true." The paladin voiced, "After all he was the one who destroyed Irrishi."

Kirin joined the four boys and sighed, "We don't have much time. If you're too late in stopping this, our planet is doomed."

"What are you talking about?" the black mage questioned.

"I said we haven't much time. I've summoned Howard to take you to the north, I believe that is where Chi has taken WuFei." She faced Heero and held out an object, "Take this with you, it will be more effective than your crossbow."

"What is it?"

"An elemental gun. This was made from the blueprints that you found in Droconia. Howard made it for you, but this is a warning to you all. The people to the north don't like machines. Peacemillion will only be able to take you to the base of the continent, after that you are on your own..."

"Understood." The Prussian eyed boy said and bowed, "We shall leave you two now and when we return we will have victory." He stood and left the chamber with the others following one by one behind him.

It didn't take long for the boys to reach the northern continent. Landing at the base, they stood and watched as Howard flew away with Peacemillion. Heero cleared his throat to gather everyone's attention. "We have to make this search as quick as possible."

"But Heero" Duo spoke up, "Kirin didn't even tell us what kind of danger we'll be in if we don't get WuFei back. I'm not saying we shouldn't save him, but isn't it better if we do this cautiously?"

"Yes and I intend to do so, but we still have to be quick about it. If what Kirin said is true then being fast is better." He turned his back to the others, "Let's go."

Sighing a bit the others followed their leader once more. They walked a pretty good distance when they reached a snow-covered forest. The white powder crunched under their feet as they walked. Once at a certain point, Quatre began to shutter. The party stopped in their tracks and looked back at the desert king.

Trowa approached his husband, "Are you all right?" he asked gently.

"Yeah... I just... think I'm a bit... chilly..." his teeth chattered as he spoke.

The lancer placed his hands on each of his partner's arms and proceeded to move them up and down to see if it would warm him up. "Is that better?"

"I'd like... to say it is... but..." his eyes widened and his breathing became unsteady.

"Quatre?"

Heero and Duo ran over to their companions and stared, helpless. The emerald eyed boy shook the blond slightly, "Quatre, snap out of it. What's the matter?"

The boy in Trowa's arms started to scream as if someone was trying to murder him. The lancer continued to call out to him and still got nowhere. The black mage knelt down next to his friends and placed his hands on both of Quatre's cheeks.

He chanted a small spell and then the king's body went limp, causing the husband to panic. "Duo, what have you done?!"

"Relax Trowa, I just put him to sleep. Whatever's goin' on, it freaked him out something fierce. You can yell at me all you want after we find someplace other than this forest."

The paladin nodded. "It's most likely a good thing that he placed a sleep spell on him. If his screams got any louder it could have caused an avalanche in the mountains." He turned his back to them and took a few steps forward. "I think their maybe a town near here. Let's hurry so we can let his Majesty rest."

The uni-banged lancer nodded and lifted his love into his arms. He looked at him sadly for a moment. What scared so much that... his thoughts were cut off when he felt the violet-eyed mage pulling on his arm. Placing himself back into reality he followed, hoping that Heero was right.

After awhile they reached a small town called Para. The sun had already begun to set, so they decided to go straight to the inn. The woman behind the counter smiled at the boys, "Welcome. It's 300G per room. How many will you-" she stopped her statement when she noticed the sleeping blond, "Is that Quatre Winner?"

"It is and I am his husband, Trowa Barton."

"I see. Then there is no charge for the four of you, but how many rooms will you be needing?"

"One." Came the monotone reply from the Prussian eyed boy.

"Very well. Head up the stairs and it's the fourth door on your left. And fair warning; when it gets into the AM hours every little thing echoes. So please, if you decided to be..." she paused. Her face began to turn a light crimson. "Intimate with one another..."

"Say no more." Duo cut in, "I assure you, we have no time what so ever to have sex, let alone to bring one of us to orgasm.

The woman's mouth hung open as her face started to take on a deeper shade of red. She just stood there, shocked and embarrassed, while the three travelers climbed the stairs.

Later that night...

Heero awoke from a light slumber. He waited for a second for his eyes to adjust then he noticed that the black mage was nowhere in sight. He got up from the mattress and then placed a hand on Trowa's shoulder.

The lancer looked back at him, "What is it?"

"Where's Duo?"

"I'm not sure. In fact I didn't see him leave." He turned his attention back to his sleeping husband.

"I'm going to look for him." He took a small glance at Quatre before he turned on his feet and exited the small room. Silently the paladin walked down the hall and out the door, that's when he spotted the longhaired boy standing a few feet away from the inn, his eyes locked onto the sky. "Duo!"

The violet-eyed mage took his eyes off of the stars at the sound of his name being called and faced the approaching figure. "What?"

"Don't do that..." the white knight sighed in frustration, but mostly in relief.

"Don't do what?"

"Walk out without saying where you're going."

Duo chuckled, "You sound like a worried mother."

"I was worried. A year ago Chi had tried to use you to destroy this world and now he has WuFei to try to do the exact same thing. But if you really think about he could come after you again and try to give himself even more power." He placed his arms around the other boy and pulled him close, "I don't want to lose you a third time..."

"No need to worry, I'm not leaving you for anything."

"That's satisfying to hear." Heero loosened his grip, pulling himself away, "So what were you doing out here?"

"Watching the stars. Last year I didn't take the time to gaze up at them." He looked deep within the other's Prussian eyes, "I guess it just wasn't the same as it was when it was just you and me." he turned back to the sky, "Look at the moon, Heero. It's a lot brighter than normal..."

"Yeah." He agreed as he followed his love's gaze, "I wonder why though."

Elsewhere...

After awhile of resting, the young summoner opened his eyes slowly as he noticed a bright light around him. His vision blurred then he saw the white dragon ahead of him, realizing that it was his 'Nataku'. "What the-"

"Well... it looks like my accomplice has woken from his nap."

"You!" WuFei tried to attack and failed do to the restrains that were around his wrists and ankles. He fell to his knees in defeat, "What is the purpose of holding me captive?" he whispered.

Chi approached the boy and placed his right hand under the summoner's chin. Carefully he lifted WuFei's head up so they were face to face. The man smiled as he gazed into the other's onyx eyes, "How cute... Acting so tough when you're actually just a scared child..." he moved his left to the back of the boy's head and removed the small ponytail from it's bond. "You know many people including Mura thought I was nothing but a womanizer" he moved a little too close for comfort. He was right next to WuFei's ear and whispered, "however... you'll do just fine." The violet-eyed man moved his tongue on the backside of the boy's ear.

"Stop it..."

"What's the matter?" he moved back so he was again face to face with his prisoner. "Don't you like all this attention? I know your father enjoyed every minute of it. Well not from a man of course, but there's no reason why you can't..." slightly moving to the left, Chi placed his lips on WuFei's neck.

"DON'T TOUCH ME!!!!!!!" A small amount of energy circled around the summoner and forcefully sent the Romefeller general flying back about a foot.

Chi waited for a moment before he got back to his feet. He watched as the raven-haired boy took deep breathes then bring up some blood. He smirked slightly at the sight before him as he arose from his spot on the ground. He moved the thumb of his right hand across his lips to wipe away the tiny trail of crimson. "So that's all it takes..."

"What are you talking about?!"

The man advanced closer, but kept his distance. "You'll find out soon enough... Yueh."
