Essential Oils
Essential oils are medicines in their own right.

How? Think about it. Many times scents can change our moods & sometimes a mood change will prompt the body begin the healing process

I urge you to make a study of aromatherapy. I think that you will be glad that you did.
Here are some essential oil & their properties
Camphor- Stimulates the nerves; increases blood circulation & relieves pain. For External use only

Cloves- Use only in small amounts. A tried & true toothache remedy.

Eucalyptus- A strong antiseptic. Often used in throat & cough products for its decongestant properties.

Lavender- This oil lifts your spirits & has a calming effect. Try putting a few drops on your pillow for a restful sleep. Ity is also used in many skin preparations.

Peppermint- a cool refreshing scent. It energizes & lifts your spirit.

Rosemary-
Stimulates the nervous system & also is an antiseptic.

Sage- A strong, earthy scent. Antiseptic.

Tea Tree- A nice, woodsy scent

Thyme- a warm uplifting scent

Ylang Ylang- This is a very sensual oil.
Small amounts of essential oils are added to herbal preparations to imptove the their taste, smell & medicinal properties.
