Henna
I only recently discovered henna. If you have looked at my hair loss page then you know that I was having a problem with balding . Not good to say the least.

Anyway I have been trying many different things on my hair & scalp ( I am no longer balding but thought that I would continue to research natural hair care.)

Maybe you thought as I did that henna was an old fashioned method to dye the hair red. This is true but it is also much more. It is for ALL colors of hair. The
NEUTRAL henna does not change your hair color. However there are colored hennas which will change the color somewhat. It WILL NOT however lighten your hair nor make a drastic color change.

Henna is made from a small desert shrub; the leaves are dried & powdered. A "mud" is then made & applied to the hair for 30-60 minutes then washed out. The results are impressive! The henna penetrates & coats the hair shaft adding body & shine. You can use it monthly with the results improving each time. I highly recommend trying this.

Mountain Rose Herbs  carries a complete line of hennas both natural & colored All organic. They also carry some great shampoos. I personally like the Giovanni brand.

Another good though not as dramatic condtioner is olive oil especially when it is infused with rosemary. Just pour olive oil in a small crockpot add a couple of spoonsful of rosemary ( dried or fresh though the fresh smells the best & contains more of the essential oil) Let heat but not boil for about an hour; strain out the herbs & bottle the oil. Apply to your hair & scalp at night. Wash out in the morning
We use so many chemical products on our hair that it is no wonder some of us have "problem" hair. I would urge you to research natural hair care. Your hair will thank you for it by looking great!!!!

Coconut and jojoba oils also offer conditioning benefits
