This week on OLTL, the jig finally is up for evil Niki Smith when Ben gets her number. But Niki isn't about to give in without the fight of her life! Ben Spies A Redhead! - Things have been loopy at Llanfair for months, but until now Niki has successfully kept Ben in the dark as she's plotted against him. "Niki" intends to do as much damage as possible to destroy a lot of what Viki has worked for," explains her portrayer, Erika Slezak. "It hasn't been that difficult for her, because, technically, Niki has all of Viki's vocabulary, intellect and sophistication. She is just bored to tears of it all, and chooses not to use it," she continues, "except when she needs it. So that is why she has been able to fool Ben and the other." But everything changes when Ben walks in on his unsuspecting wife - wearing a racy red wig and wielding a syringe! Niki Makes A Move - When Ben finally comes to the shocking realization that Niki has taken over Viki's life, he is horrified. But Niki is undaunted, and continues to carry out her plan to get rid of him once and for all. What's more, as Niki orchestrates her boldest move yet, it becomes clear that Ben isn't the only one in imminent danger. Is It Over For Ben And Viki? - When the dust settles, will Niki ultimately have destroyed Viki's fairy-tale marriage? "It's Viki's worst fear realized," says Slezak. "She was absolutely petrified that if Niki [came out again] and revealed a secret, then Ben would have no choice but to leave her." Now, Niki is calling the shots - and Ben is her unwitting victim. "I don't think that [Niki] will be able to destroy the marriage completely," Slezak concludes, "At least I hope not." |

Rumor has it that TPTB are looking to re-cast the role of Will Rappaport, but I wish they'd just get back the old one. I loved Jason Scott as Will. I also read that TPTB may be casting another young male to be a possible 'love interest' for Natatlie. I say they already HAVE a love interest for Natalie: Cristian Vega.
Even though I haven't been a big fan of Cris', I really see the chemistry between these two characters. Also, Natalie is a strong young woman who won't take his chauvinistic attitude. I have never liked he and Jen together, for a variety of reasons, but mostly because there doesn't seem to be any chemistry at all between the two actors.
I'd like to see things develop between Cris and Natalie. I think I might even be able to watch the 'teen-scene' with these two as an item. I find myself watching them now just incase they BECOME and item. And that is saying alot! An added benefit of a Cris and Natalie pairing would be that Lindsay would have been right about Cris not being the one for Jen. I always love it when Lindsay's predictions come true! This would make her three for three: 1)Sam was a fool for getting back with Nora because she was just going to break his heart AGAIN 2)Nora couldn't make love to Troy because he looked like Colin (okay, she got over that fast enough) and 3)Cris will end up breaking Jen's heart. Give the girl a crystal ball--or better yet, a pass out of STATESVILLE! |
