Link's Trading Sequnce
In this section, called Link's Trading Sequence, you will find all the steps necessary in order to get the Noble Sword. It's a lengthy process, and unless you want to do everything in the game, you don't even have to bother with it. Have any questions? Let me know, and I'll try to answer them.
Cuccodex - After getting the Ember Seed, go to the bibliophile's house in southeastern Horon Village and light the torch. You'll get a Cuccodex. Go a few screens right and up from the Gnarled Root Dungeon to find Malon. Give her the Cuccodex and you'll get a Lon Lon Egg.
Lon Lon Egg - Walk around until Maple (the witch on a broom that appears randomly) appears, and when she does, bump into her. She'll gladly take the egg and give you the ghastly doll.
Ghastly Doll - Just south of the gate to the Ancient Ruins (right next to the Floodgate Keeper's house) is another house, in which a woman who is constantly hot lives. Give her the ghastly dolls to give her the chills, and she'll give you the iron pot.
Iron Pot - Take the pot to the cook in northwest Subrosia and you'll get some lava soup.
Lava Soup - Some soup is just the thing to cure Biggoron of his cold. Find him at the top of Goron Mountain and you'll get the Goron vase.
Goron Vase - The vase collector in northwest Sunken City will give you his dinner for the vase.
Fish - Give the fish to the man just south of Gnarled Root Dungeon, whose cat is stuck in a tree. Once the fish tempts the cat down, you'll get his megaphone.
Megaphone - Go to Goron Mountain in spring, and jump up in between the two Deku Scrubs. Go into the cave and wake up Talon to get a mushroom.
Mushroom - Go to Sunken City in winter and enter Syrup's Potion Shop. Give her the mushroom and she'll give you the wooden bird.
Wooden Bird - Take the wooden bird to Horon Village and give it to the clockmaker. You'll get the engine grease in return.
Engine Grease - Take the grease to the organ grinder just east of Horon Village. He'll give you the phonograph for helping him out.
Phonograph - As with this entire sequence, this step is entirely optional since you don't even get anything from it. Play the phonograph for a Deku Scrub near the Lost Woods and he'll give you a clue to the Noble Sword's location. Go to the Lost Woods, jump on the tree stump and change the season to winter. Go left, then change the season to fall. Go left again, then change the season to spring. Go left yet again, and change the season to summer. Go left one last time, and take the sword out of the pedestal.
