WHERE IS THE TRIFORCE... I know it's in the game because on the Quest Status Screen you can see the Triforce but it's not filled in. Also, what is the point of Gossip Stones?
- XxBrEaKSTuFF@aol.com XxBrEaKSTuFF@aol.com

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but for the last time, THERE IS NO TRIFORCE in Ocarina of Time. It was at one point in the game, but was taken out because Link obtaining the Triforce didn't fit into the storyline. The Gossip Stones don't serve any purpose in the game. They just tell you useless information. I think at one time they did, but the programmers changed the game without changing what the Gossip Stones said.

I can't figure out how to get the water level back to mid-level in the Water Temple. Please help!
- JSTJOAN81@aol.com JSTJOAN81@aol.com

To change the water level after you've raised it to the top floor, you have to go back to the room where you saw Ruto, float up to the Triforce Icon, and play Zelda's Lullaby, just like you did the first time you ever changed the water level.

This is regarding adult Link's trading sequence. I have gotten the Biggoron's Sword. Anyways, I've got the Claim Check, but my map has an arrow pointing down at Kakariko Village. Do you know why that's there?
- JILLOON@aol.com Dano102b@aol.com

Of course I know! That's why I'm here. The arrow points at Kakariko Village because it doesn't know where else to point. I guess the programmers just forgot about it, so when you get the Biggoron's Sword, it points back to Kakariko Village where you started. Don't believe any rumors about secrets there after you get the sword, because after you get the sword, the trading sequence and anything remotely close to it ends.

When you select a file and it shows how many hearts, Spiritual Stones, and Medallions you have there are 3 zero's. Later, the third becomes a 1. What is this about? It's been bugging me for a long time! Please give me an answer!!!!!!!
- Shrimp2446@aol.com Shrimp2446@aol.com

Ah yes, the three zeros... now what is it they do?... Well, if you really want to know, the reason the zero changes to a one is because you've died once. The zeros are simply a counter for how many times you've died.

How do you beat the running man in the carpenters' tent? I raced him over and over but he keeps beating me by one second. Can he ever be beaten?
- LoGarcia@aol.com LoGarcia@aol.com

I can't believe people are still looking for a way to beat him! For once and for all, there is NO WAY to beat the running man.

Hello, I need help. In the Sacred Forest Meadow, after I go through the passages to the opposite end, there is a guy blocking the entranceway. He hits the ground and knocks me down. I can't get close enough to him to hit him. How do I beat or get past this guy?
- LadyCharger22@cs.com LadyCharger22@cs.com

Actually, getting around this guy isn't as hard as it may seem. You have to keep running right and left (but at the same time forwards), so that you dodge his attacks. Once you get really close to him, run around him. You don't have to defeat him, because he'll just re-appear. If you really feel like kicking the crap out of him, just hit him from behind after you run around him.

When you beat the game it shows Zelda looking at Link and it says "The End". I waited an hour and pushed every button. How do you save and will the pond ever be not frozen??
- Bigmike2200@aol.com Bigmike2200@aol.com

The pond? Ok. Anyway, there is no way to ever save after the game ends. This is the final scene in the game, and it NEVER UNFREEZES... although it would've been really nice to explore a back-to-normal Hyrule as young Link, with the possibility of going into the castle.

What I'm wondering is what happens when you take the fisherman's hat and put it in the water but don't have enough Rupees to pay him?
- Bignacka5@aol.com Bignacka5@aol.com

First of all, just so that I'm not flooded with letters, you can get the fisherman's hat by standing in the right spot, and casting off the fishing rod in his direction. You can then cast off into the water, and lose his hat. Once you've lost it, he'll tell you that you have to pay him 50 Rupees, but if you don't have that many, he'll simply take what you have. As far as I can tell, if you don't have 50 Rupees after losing his hat, you never have to pay him back all 50.

When I show Biggoron the broken sword from the carpenter, it says, "This item doesn't work here". Please tell me what I'm doing wrong.
- Hurricane533@aol.com Hurricane533@aol.com

That's not a question, but I'll see what I can do. The problem may be that you're standing too far away from Biggoron. To make sure you're close enough, before you try to use the broken sword, you should see a cinema of Biggoron waking up. Now it should work.

How do we get from King Zora with the eyeball frog to Lake Hylia without running out of time? We have tried Epona, but the character in the Lake Lab doesn't look like a professor. Help!
- Cactus Jack martin.dunn1@ntlworld.com

Well, strange as it may seem the "character in the Lake Lab" is in fact the professor. Using Epona to get there in time does help quite a bit. When you reach the professor, quickly talk to him once, and then use the frog. I've found that he won't take the frog before you talk to him, but that could've been changed in a later version. Oh, by the way, it's so nice to finally see someone who's e-mail address doesn't end in "aol.com". Keep up the good work!

I was wondering where the Gerudo Training Ground is.
- Evan M. TsmyTERRItory@aol.com

The Gerudo Training Ground is in Gerudo Valley. To be able to enter, however, you must first get the Gerudo's Card by rescuing all the prisoners.
