Walkthrough

In the Walkthrough section of my page, you can find anything you need to help you get through one of the best video games of all time. From the Kokiri Forest to Ganon's Castle, I cover every single detail in the game. Keep in mind, though, there will be spoilers in here, so if you don't want to know any game secrets, don't read on ahead! Please note that I used the name "Link" in the walkthrough (as oppose to any other name you might call your file). If you see any typos, or anything, let me know.

(Cinema Scene)
Deku Tree
: In the vast, deep forest of Hyrule... Long have I served as the guardian spirit... I am known as the Deku Tree... The children of the forest, the Kokiri, live here with me. Each Kokiri has his or her own guardian fairy. However, there is one boy who does not have a fairy...
(Scene cuts to a dark and rainy day in Hyrule. Outside Hyrule Castle, young Link stands, as he watches Impa and Zelda race outside on a strong, white horse. They race down Hyrule Field as Ganondorf chases after them on his black horse. He stops in front of Link. Link looks at Ganondorf in terror.
Scene cuts back to Kokiri Forest.
Deku Tree
: Navi... Navi, where art thou? Come hither... Oh, Navi the fairy... listen to my words, the words of the Deku Tree... Dost thou sense it? The climate of evil descending upon this realm... Malevolent forces even now are mustering to attack our land of Hyrule... For so long, the Kokiri Forest, the source of life, has stood as a barrier deterring outsiders, and maintaining the order of the world... But... before this tremendous evil power, even my power is as nothing... It seems the time has come for the boy without a fairy to begin his journey... The youth whose destiny it is to lead Hyrule to the path of justice and truth... Navi... go now! Find our young friend and guide him to me... I do not have much time left. Fly, Navi, fly! The fate of the forest, nay, the world, depends upon thee!
Scene cuts to Navi flying throughout the forest searching for a boy without a fairy. She finds one sleeping in a treehouse.
Navi
: Hello, Link! Wake up! The Great Deku Tree wants to talk to you! Link, get up! Hey! C'mon! Can Hyrule's destiny really depend on such a lazy boy?
Link gets up, yawns, and sits on his bed
Navi
: You finally woke up! I'm Navi the fairy! The Great Deku Tree asked my to be your partner from now on! Nice to meet you! The Great Deku Tree has summoned you! So let's get going, right now!
Walk out of the treehouse. You will see Saria.
Saria
: Yahoo! Hi, Link!
You don't have to talk to her. You have to see the Great Deku Tree, but you need a sword and shield. To find the sword, follow the path, and it'll split into two directions. Follow it left, and keep going forward until you see a hole in a wall. Climb into it. When you get out the other end, turn left, right, left, and then right again. Make sure you aviod the big rolling rock. You should now be facing a treasure chest. Go up to it, and inside you will find the Kokiri Sword. From here, you will need to find 40 Rupees in order to buy a shield. Rupees can be found in tall grass, in cut bushes, in broken pots, inside treasure chests, just lying around, or other various places throughout the forest. Once you have 40, go to the shop. Before you can enter, a Kokiri girl will talk to you.
Kokiri Girl: Hi, Link! Look this way! Look over here with Z, and talk to me with A.
Ignore her. Go inside and buy a Deku Shield. Exit the shop, and talk to Mido.
Mido
: If you want to see the Great Deku Tree, you should at least equip a sword and shield. Eh, what's that?! Oh, you have a Deku Shield... And what's THAT?! Is that the Kokiri Sword?! GOOD GRIEF!! Well, even with all that stuff, a wimp is still a wimp, huh? I, the great Mido will never accept you as one of us! Shoot! How did you get to be the favourite of Saria and the Great Deku Tree? Huh?! Grumble... grumble...
Run down the path. At the end, the Great Deku Tree will talk to you.
(Cinema Scene)
Navi
: Great Deku Tree... I'm back!
Deku Tree
: Oh... Navi... Thou hast returned... Link... Welcome... Listen carefully to what I, the Deku Tree, am about to tell thee... Thy slumber these past moons must have been restless, and full of nightmares... As the servants of evil gain strength, a vile climate prevades the land and causes nightmares to those sensetive to it... Verily, thou hast felt it... Link... The time has come to test thy courage... I have been cursed... I need you to break the curse with your wisdom and courage. Dost thou have enough courage to undertake this task?
Yes Then enter, brave Link, and thou too, Navi... Navi the fairy... Thou must aid Link... And Link... When Navi speaks, use C Up to listen well to her words of wisdom...
No Perhaps you do not have confidence in your abilities... Return to the Kokiri Forest to learn the skills of combat... When thou art ready, return here and speak with me by using Z.
After choosing "Yes", enter the Deku Tree.
Inside the Deku Tree

First, defeat one of the Deku Babas by cutting it in half to get some Deku Sticks. Then climb up the ladder. Follow the path until you see a treasure chest in front of a wall covered in vines. At this point, Navi will talk to you.
Navi
: Look at this wall! The vines growing on it give it a rough surface... Maybe you can climb on it, Link!
Keep following the path until you get to a door. Navi will talk to you again.
Navi
: You can open a door by standing in front of it, and pressing A. Pay attention to what the Action Icon says. That's the blue icon at the top of the screen!
Go through the door, and inside you will find a Deku Scrub. To defeat it, Z-Target it, and then hold R to deflect the nuts back at him. Stand on the green patch, and wait until it gets back to it. It will talk to you.
Deku Scrub
: Ow-ow-ow! Forgive me, master! If I give you a clue, will you let me go? When you jump off a high cliff, if you hold control stick forward, you will roll on the ground when you land, and won't get hurt from the fall. I can't guarantee it will work, though, if the cliff is really, really high, heh heh! Well, try it if you are feeling bold! Wah ha hah!
Go through the door at the other end of the hall. Once inside, go across to the other side of the room, and open the treasure chest. You will get the Fairy Slingshot. If you didn't jump on the platform when you came in, this next step isn't necessary. Climb up the wall to the left. From where you are, Z-target the ladder, and hit it with your slingshot. It will fall, and you can leave the room. Walk back to where you saw the first treasure chest. Using your slingshot, hit all of the Skullwalltulas. Climb up the wall. Walk around until you see a Skulltula hanging from the ceiling. Defeat it, and jump down, aiming for the cobweb on the floor. If you land on it, it will break, and you will fall through. Once through, jump on the switch. A flame will burn on the torch, and the cobweb will burn up. Then, light a Deku Stick on fire. Staying in shallow water, walk across, and touch the cobweb. It will burn and you will be able to walk through the door. Inside you will find a Deku Scrub. Hit it, and it will talk to you.
Deku Scrub
: Please forgive me, master! I'll never do it again! If you spare me, I'll teach you something cool. You will never beat my brothers up ahead unless you punish them in the proper order. The order is... 2 3 1 twenty-three is number one! Do you think I'm a traitor?
To get through the door, shoot the silver eye above it with your slingshot. When you walk through the door, Navi will talk to you.
Navi
: After you get into the water, if you hold down A you can dive! I bet there are some interesting things underwater!
Swim as far as you can to the left, under the rolling spike thing. Now dive. You should hit a switch. Swim back to shore, and jump on the moving platform. Once on the other side, defeat the Skulltula. When you stand in front of the block, Navi will talk to you.
Navi
: Stand next to this block and grab hold of it with A. While holding A you can push or pull it. If you stand next to the block and press A while pressing control stick towards the block you can climb on top of it. Pay attention to what the Action Icon says!
Pull the block back. Jump on it, then climb up onto the ledge. Go through the door. In this room, simply light all of the torches using a Deku Stick. Go through the door and defeat the Skulltula. Watch for the Gohma Larva that drop from the ceiling. Use a Deku Stick to set the cobwebs on fire. Go through the tunnel down one of the paths. You are now back where you started. Push the block off the edge. Light a Deku Stick on fire, and use the block to climb up onto the platform. With a Deku Stick still burning, stand on the cobweb, and press R. You will fall through. You will see three Deku Scrubs. First, hit the middle one, the one to the right, and then the one on the left. Once you do this, the left one will talk to you.
Deku Scrub
: How did you know our secret?! How irritating! He's so annoying that I'm going to reveal the secret of Queen Gohma to you! In order to administer the coup de grace to Queen Gohma, strike with your sword while she's stunned. Oh, Queenie... Sorry about that!
Walk through the door. Walk forward a little bit.
(Cinema Scene)
The view is of what Gohma sees. She is coming closer to you. The door closes.
Look up at the glowing eye on the ceiling.
(Cinema Scene)
Gohma drops from the ceiling. The words "Parasitic Armored Arachnid Gohma" appear.
Boss Fight: Queen Gohma

Queen Gohma is very easy. Hit her in the eye using the slingshot. Immediately start giving her all you've got, and repeatedly slash the eye. When she gets back up she will go onto the ceiling. If you hit her again she will drop, and you can hit her some more. If you don't hit her on the ceiling, she will drop Gohma Larva on you. Defeat them and she will drop. Repeat this pattern until you've won.
(Cinema Scene)
When you defeat her and she will burn up in a blue flame. Walk into the light.
(Cinema Scene)
The blue light lifts you up. You appear in front of the Deku Tree.
Deku Tree
: Well done Link... Thou hast verily demonstrated thy courage... I know that thou wouldst be able to carry out my wishes... Now, I have yet more to tell ye, wouldst thou listen...
Yes Now... Listen carefully... A wicked man of the desert cast this dreadful curse upon me...
No No, Link... Thou must know my time is short... Now... Listen carefully... A wicked man of the desert cast this dreadful curse upon me...
(Scene cuts to Ganon riding his black horse through fire.)
Deku Tree
: This evil man carelessly uses his vile, sorcerous powers in his search for the Sacred Realm that is connected to Hyrule... For it is in that Sacred Realm that one will find the divine relic, the Triforce, which contains the essence of the gods...
(Scene cuts to three golden goddesses descending upon Hyrule each surrounded by it's own light; one blue, one red, and one green. The red one flyes across a canyon. The blue one flyes over a cliff. The green one flyes over a path. They fly up into the sky, collide, and the Triforce appears.)
Deku Tree
: Before time began, before spirits and life existed... Three golden goddesses descended upon the chaos that was Hyrule... Din, the goddess of power... Nayru, the goddess of wisdom... Farore the goddess of courage... Din... With her strong flaming arms, she cultivated the land and created the red earth. Nayru... Poured her wisdom onto the earth and gave the spirit of law to the world. Farore... With her rich soul, produced all life forms who would uphold the law. The three great goddesses, their labors completed departed for the heavens. And the golden triangles remained at the point where the goddesses left the world. Since then, the sacred triangles have become the basis of our world's providence. And, the resting place of the triangles has become the Sacred Realm.
(Scene cuts back to the Kokiri Forest.)
Deku Tree
: Thou must never allow the desert man in black armor to lay his hands on the sacred Triforce... Thou must never suffer that man with his evil heart, to enter the Sacred Realm of legend... That evil man who cast the death curse upon me and sapped my power... Because of that curse, my end is nigh... Though your valiant efforts to break the curse were successful, I was doomed before you started... Yes, I will pass away soon... But do not grieve for me... I have been able to tell you of these important matters... This is Hyrule's final hope... Link... Go now to Hyrule Castle... There, thou will surely meet the Princess of Destiny... Take this stone with you. The stone that man wanted so much, that he cast the curse on me...
(The Great Deku Tree gives Link the Kokiri's Emerald.)
Deku Tree
: The future depends upon thee. Link... Thou art courageous... Navi the fairy... Help Link to carry out my will... I entreat ye... Navi... Good... bye...
(The Great Deku Tree turns grey, and dies.)
Navi
: Let's go to Hyrule Castle. Link!! Good-bye... Great Deku Tree...
Link runs down the path.
Talk to Mido.
Mido
: Hey, Link! What did you do?! The Great Deku Tree... did he... die? How could you do a thing like that?! It's all your fault!!
Now leave the forest.
(Cinema Scene)
Saria
: Oh, you're leaving... I knew... that you would leave the forest... someday, Link... Because you are different from me and my friends... But that's OK, because we'll be friends forever... won't we? I want you to have this Ocarina... Please take good care of it.
(Saria gives Link an Ocarina.)
Saria
: When you play my Ocarina, I hope you will think of me and come back to the forest to visit.
Link backs up, and runs out to Hyrule Field.
Walk forward, and you will meet the strange and wise owl, Kaepora Gaebora.
Kaepora Gaebora
: Hoo hoot! Link... look up here! It appears that the time has finally come for you to start your adventure! You will encounter many hardships ahead... That is your fate. Don't feel discouraged, even during the toughest times! Go straight this way and you will see Hyrule Castle. You will meet a princes there... If you are lost and don't know which way to go, look at the Map. Press START to enter the Subscreens and Z or R to find the Map. On the Map Subscreen, you will also see a flashing dot showing you which way you should go next. Did you get all that?
No Go straight this way...
Yes All right then, I'll see you around! Hoot hoot hoot ho!
After choosing "Yes", Kaepora Gaebora will fly away. From here, go to Hyrule Castle. Once you cross the moat, go straight through the Market to find the castle. Once there, walk forward, and Kaepora Gaebora will talk to you.
Kaepora Gaebora
: Hey, Link! This way! The princess is inside the castle just ahead. Be careful not to get caught by the guards! Ho ho ho hoot! On this ground, time flows normally. But time stands still while you are in Lon Lon Ranch or in a town. If you want time to pass normally, you'll need to leave town. Well, well, which way are you going to go now? Hoo hoo hoot! Do you want to hear what I said again?
Yes On this ground...
No Hoooo, you're a smart kid. Good luck, then. Hoo hoo.
After choosing "No", Kaepora Gaebora will fly away. Go back to the Market, and you will find that Malon is not there. Go back to the castle, and you will see Malon standing in front of some vines. Talk to her.
Malon: Are you going to the castle, fairy boy? Would you mind finding my dad? He must have fallen asleep somewhere around the castle. What a thing for an adult to do! Tee hee! Oh yeah, if you'll look for him, I'll give this to you. I've been incubating this egg very carefully... tee hee!
She will give you a wierd egg. From here, climb the middle vine. Jump over the wall. Start running up the side of the hill, not the path. Start from the corner of the second slope to the left, and finish before the corner of the third. Don't get close to any guards, or you'll have to start all over again. From here, turn left, and run behind the first tree. Keep going in that direction until you are at the other side of the hill. Turn right, and climb up the wall. Jump off the hill, and into the waster. Swim to the other side. Climb back onto land, and wait until morning for your egg to hatch. Stand in front of Talon and use your chicken. It will wake him up.
Talon
: What in tarnation? Can't a person get a little shut-eye around here?
Talk to him again.
Talon
: Hello, and who might you be? Yep, I'm Talon, the owner of Lon Lon Ranch. I went to the castle to deliver some milk, but I sat down here to rest, and I guess I fell asleep... What?! Malon was looking for me? I'm gonna catch it from her now! I messed up bad, leaving Malon behind to wait for me! She's really gonna let me have it!
He runs off. Now push the crates into the water. Climb up on them, jump up onto the ledge, and climb into Hyrule Castle. From here, you will have to sneak through several different screens and dodge the guards. To do this, basically don't go where the guards can see you. If you get caught, you'll have to start back at the crates. At the end, you will find Zelda in the castle courtyard. Talk to her.
(Cinema Scene)
Zelda
: ! Who?! Who are you? How did you get past the guards? Oh? What's that? Is that... a fairy?! Then, you are... Are you from the forest? Then... then... you wouldn't happen to have... the Spiritual Stone of the Forest, would you?! That green and shining stone... Do you have it?
Yes Just as I thought!
No Well, that's odd... I thought you might be the one from my dream... You really don't have it? Tell me the truth...
(After choosing "Yes")
Zelda
: I had a dream... In the dream, dark storm clouds were billowing over the land of Hyrule... But suddenly, a ray of light shot out of the forest, parted the clouds and lit up the ground. The light turned into a figure holding a green and shining stone, followed by a fairy... I know this is a prophecy that someone would come from the forest... Yes! I thought you might be the one... Oh, I'm sorry! I got carried away with my story and didn't even properly introduce myself! I am Zelda, Princess of Hyrule. What is your name?..... Link... Strange... it sounds somehow... familiar. OK then, Link... I'm going to tell you the secret of the Sacred Realm that has been passed down by the Royal Family of Hyrule. Please keep this a secret from everyone...
OK The legend goes like this...
No C'mon... don't be a blabber-mouth!
(After choosing "OK", the scene will cut to three golden goddesses flying up into the sky. The Triforce will appear. After a while, it will also fly up into the sky.)
Zelda
: The three goddesses hid the Triforce containing the power of the gods somewhere in Hyrule. The power to grant the wish of the one who holds the Triforce in his hands. If someone with a righteous heart makes a wish, it will lead Hyrule to a golden age of prosperity... If someone with an evil mind has his wish granted, the world will be consumed by evil... that is what has been told... So, the ancient Sages built the Temple of Time to protect the Triforce from the evil ones.
(The scene cuts back to the garden.)
Zelda
: That's right... The Temple of Time is the entrance through which you can enter the Sacred Realm from our world. But the entrance is sealed with a stone called the Door of Time. And, in order to open the door, it is said that you need to collect three Spiritual Stones. And another thing you need... is the treasure that the Royal Family keeps along with this legend... The Ocarina of Time! Did you understand the story I just told you?
Yes That's great!
No Oh, I'm sorry. I'm not very good at storytelling... That's right...
(After choosing "Yes")
Zelda
: I forgot to tell you... I was spying through this window just now... The other element from my dream... the dark clouds... I believe they symbolize... that man in there! Will you look through the window at him?
Yes
No Please! If you don't hurry he'll be gone!
(Switches to Link's view)
Zelda
: Can you see the man with the evil eyes? That is Ganondorf, the leader of the Gerudos. They hail from the desert far to the west. Though he swears allegiance to my father, I am sure he is not sincere. The dark clouds that covered Hyrule in my dream... They must symbolize that man!
(Ganon looks at Link, and the scene switches back to the garden.)
Zelda
: What happened? Did he see you? Don't worry. He doesn't have any idea what we're planning... yet!........Yes. I told my father about my dream... However, he didn't believe it was a prophecy... But... I can sense that man's evil intentions! What Ganondorf is after must be nothing less than the Triforce of the Sacred Realm. He must have come to Hyrule to obtain it! And, he wants to conquer Hyrule... no, the entire world! Link... now, we are the only ones who can protect Hyrule! Please.
OK Thank you!
I don't believe you Please believe me... My prophecies have never been wrong!
(After choosing "OK")
Zelda
: I... I am afraid... I have a feeling that man is going to destroy Hyrule. He has such terrifying power! But it's fortunate that you have come... We must not let Ganondorf get the Triforce! I will protect the Ocarina of Time with all my power! He shall not have it! You go find the other two Spiritual Stones! Let's get the Triforce before Ganondorf does, and then defeat him! One more thing... Take this letter... I'm sure it will be helpful to you.
After you get the letter, walk out of the garden. You will be stopped by Impa.
Impa
: I am Impa of the Skeikahs. I am responsible for protecting Princess Zelda. Everything's exactly as the Princess foretold. You are a courageous boy... You are heading out on a big, new adventure, aren't you? My role in the Princess' dream was to teach a melody to the one from the forest. This is an ancient melody passed down by the Royal Family. I have played this song for Princess Zelda as a lullaby ever since she was a baby... There is mysterious power in these notes. Now listen carefully...
You will learn Zelda's Lullaby. Link will look at his Ocarina, amazed.
Impa
: If the castle soldiers find you, there will be trouble. Let me lead you out of the castle.
(The scene cuts outside, by the drawbridge.)
Impa
: You brave lad... We must protect this beautiful land of Hyrule! Take a good look at that mountain. That is Death Mountain, home of the Gorons. They hold the Spiritual Stone of Fire. At the foot of Death Mountain, you will find my village, Kakariko. That is where I was born and raised. You should talk to some of the villagers before you go up to Death Mountain. The song I just taught you has some mysterious power. Only Royal Family members are allowed to learn this song. Remember, it will help to prove your connection with the Royal Family. The Princess is waiting for you to return to the castle with the stones. All right. We're counting on you!
Impa steps back, throws something at the ground, and disappears.
From here, go to the forest. Once there, turn left, and climb as high as you can. Then, go through the log. You are now in the Lost Woods. Go right, then left, and you will see Kaepora Gaebora.
Kaepora Gaebora
: Hey, over here! Hoo, hoo! Link... Good to see you again! Listen to this! Hoot hoot... After going through the Lost Woods, you will come upon the Sacred Forest Meadow. That is a sacred place where few people have ever walked. Shhhh... What's that? I can hear a mysterious tune... You should listen for that tune too... Hoo hoo ho! Do you want to hear what I said again?
Yes After going through the Lost Woods...
No If you are courageous, you will make it through the forest just fine. Just follow your ears and listen to the sounds coming from the forest! Hoot hoot!
He will fly away. Turn right, then left, straight, left, and right. Now you are in the Sacred Forest Meadow. To open the gate, you must defeat the Wolfos. Once you've done this, turn right, left at the second left turn, left, right at the second right turn, right, left, left, right at the second right turn, right, and left. Make sure to be careful of the Mad Scrubs. Walk up the stairs.
Saria
: I've been waiting for you, Link! This is the Sacred Forest Meadow. It's my secret place! I feel... This place will be very important for both of us someday. That's what I feel. If you play the Ocarina here, you can talk wit the spirits in the forest. Would you like to play the Ocarina with me?
Yes
Don't do it Huh?! How boring! C'mon! Play along!
OK, try to follow along with the melody I will play. Are you ready?
You will learn Saria's Song. Once you have learned the song, Saria will talk to you.
Saria
: Great! Great! Please don't forget this song! Do you promise? When you want to hear my voice, play Saria's Song. You can talk with me anytime...
Link looks at his Ocarina, stunned. When you leave the Sacred Forest Meadow, Kaepora Gaebora will talk to you again.
Kaepora Gaebora
: Hoo hoo! Did you learn an Ocarina song from Saria? That melody seems to have some mysterious power. There may be some other mysterious songs like this that you can learn in Hyrule. If you hold the Ocarina with C where a melody is necessary, a musical staff will appear. I recommend that you play a song you know. I also suggest that you play even when a score is not displayed, just like this: Hoo hoo hoo hoot hoot hoot! Do you want to hear what I said again?
Yes If you hold the Ocarina...
No Melodies you have learned will be recorded on the Quest Status Subscreen. You should memorize those melodies.
He will fly away. Now, go to Kakariko Village. Walk forward, and go up the stairs. Keep moving forward until you see a guard standing in front of a gate. Walk up to him, and use the letter.
Guard
: Oh, this is... This is surely Princess Zelda's handwriting! Well, let's see... Hmmm... OK... "This is Link... He is under my orders to save Hyrule." Whah ha ha ha hah! What kind of funny game has our Princess come up with now?! OK, OK, all right. You can go now... Just be careful, Mr. Hero! Wah hah ha ha hah!
(The guard pounds the ground with his spear, the gate opens.)
Guard
: By the way, Mr. Hero... If you're going to climb Death Mountain, you should equip a proper shield! It is an active volcano, after all! If you go back to Hyrule Castle Town Market, you should check out the Bazaar. They sell the shield you need there. Tell 'em I sent you, and they should give you a special discount! If you think you're good to go already, don't worry about it. Now, I'd like to ask a favor of you. No, I don't expect you to do it just because of the great tip I just gave you! I'm just asking! Have you been to the Happy Mask Shop that just opened in Hyrule Castle Town Market? Everyone is talking about it! My little boy pesters me for a popular mask, but I don't have time to go there... So, could you go and get the mask for me next time you are in the Market! If you don't feel like it, that's OK, but... Well, I have no choice, this is my job...... sigh...
Go through the gate, and enter Death Mountain. Follow the path until it splits, take the low road. Keep going straight, and you'll enter Goron City. Go as low as you can, and then stand in front of a door with a torch beside it. Play Zelda's Lullaby, and the door will open. Walk inside. Stand in front of Darunia, and play Saria's Song. He will start to dance.
Darunia
: Oh! Oh-oh! C'mon! Come on! Come on! Come on! HOT!! What a hot beat! WOOOOAH! YEEEEAH! YAHOOO!! Heeey!! What a nice tune! Just like that, my depression is all gone! Something just came over me! I suddenly wanted to dance like crazy! I am Darunia! I'm the big boss of the Gorons! Was there something you wanted to ask me about? What? You want the Spiritual Stone of Fire, too? The Spiritual Stone of Fire, also known as the Goron's Ruby is our race's hidden treasure... But hold on--I'm not going to give it to you that easily. If you want it so badly... Why don't you go destroy the monsters inside of the Dodongo's Cavern and prove you're a real man? That way, everybody will be happy again! If you do it, I will give you anything you want, even the Spiritual Stone! I have something for you. I'm not really giving you this in return for anything, but take it anyway. If you wear this, even a little fella like you can pick up a Bomb Flower using A.
You will get the Goron's Bracelet. Exit Goron City and turn right. Pick up the Bomb Flower and throw it over the edge. If you have good aim, it will land in front of Dodongo's Cavern and blow up the rocks in front of it. Walk inside.
Dodongo's Cavern

Pick up a Bomb Flower and blow up the wall. Walk forward and Navi will talk to you.
Navi
: Looks like there are many lava pits around here, so watch your step!
Jump onto the central platform, then jump across to the right. Blow up the wall near the Beamos. Make your way down the now-accessable hallway, and when you reach the end, push a statue onto the switch. Go through the door, and walk down the hallway. In the next room, you will have to fight two Lizalfos'. Defeat them and the doors will open. Walk through the door you didn't enter this room through, and you will be in a green and yellow hallway. In the next room, light a Deku Stick on fire, and light all the torches. When the door opens, go through it, walk down the hallway, and step on the switch. Jump across to the other side of the room. Go through the door. Place the Bomb Flower growing next to the door in the spot where a bomb is missing. The bombs will blow up, and the staricase will fall. Climb up the stairs, and then follow the floor. In the next room, climb onto the platform and step on the switch. The iron bars blocking the doors will be lifted. Go through thedoor, and walk across the bridge. In the next room, jump down and Navi will talk to you.
Navi
: You never know what will be around the corner in these narrow paths... Use Z-Targeting to always look in the proper direction. This is a useful technique, isn't it?
Walk forward, and you will see a block under a ladder. Pull it back as far as you can. Climb onto it, and then onto the platform behind it. You can use the Bomb Flower in two ways: throw it in front of the wall, landing it perfectly on the ledge, or time it so that as it goes by the wall, it will explode. Once the wall has been cleared away, climb the ladder, and go down the hallway. You will see fire burning on a platform. Shoot the eye above it with the slingshot. Jump across and walk down the next hallway. When you go through the door, you will have to fight two more Lizalfos'. Once they're defeated, walk through the next door. You will see more flaming platforms. This time, shoot the eye above the fire, and then turn left and shoot the eye there. In the next room, open the treasure chest. You will get a bomb bag. Walk down the next hallway. When it ends, walk onto the bridge, and jump onto the Dodongo's head. Place a bomb in each eye, and his mouth will open. Walk into it. In the next room, turn right, and walk down the hallway. At the end of the next room, climb onto the ledge to reach another hallway. Walk down this hallway, and push the block into the hole on the floor. Walk through the door. Bomb the floor, and fall down the hole.
(Cinema Scene)
The view is of what Dodongo sees. He is coming closer to you. The view switches to behind Link, and the words "Infernal Dinosaur King Dodongo" appear.
Boss Fight: King Dodongo

Defeating King Dodongo is not a hard task. When he opens his mouth throw a bomb into it. When he turns red and falls slash him with your sword, then run 180 degrees around the room in the direction he is facing. Do this a few times, and you've won.
(Cinema Scene)
King Dodongo starts rolling, but is out of control. He rolls into the lava, and burns up.
Now walk into the light.
(Cinema Scene)
The light lifts you up. You appear in front of the entrance to the Dodongo's Cavern. Darunia drops down behind you.
Darunia
: It's me, Darunia! Well done! Thanks to you, we can once again eat the delicious rocks fron the Dodongo's Cavern until our stomachs burst! What a wild adventure! It will make an incredible story... I can't believe that the Dodongos suddenly appeared in such great numbers. And that big rock blocking the cave... All this trouble must have been caused by that Gerudo thief, Ganondorf! He said "Give me the Spiritual Stone! Only then will I open the cave for you!" You, on the other hand risked your life for us... Kid, I like you! How's about you and I become Sworn Brothers?! No, there's no big ceremony involved! Just take this as a token of our friendship!
(Darunia gives Link the Goron's Ruby.)
Darunia
: Brother! You'll keep brushing up on your skills as you travel, won't you? You should go see the Great Fairy on top of Death Mountain! She will power you up! Hey everybody! Let's see off our brother!
(Gorons drop all around Link and try to hug him. He runs away screaming.)
Gorons
: You did great! How 'bout a great big Goron hug, brother?!
Walk up Death Mountain again, but this time, take the high path. At the very top and to the left, there is a doorway that you have to plant a bomb in front of to walk through. Once inside, walk forward until you are standing on a Triforce Icon. Play Zelda's Lullaby on it, and a Great Fairy will pop out of the water.
Great Fairy of Power
: Welcome, Link! I am the Great Fairy of Power! I'm going to grant you a sword technique. Recieve it now!
(The Great Fairy spreads her arms, and Link is surrounded by a yellow light. He turns around, and holds up his hands.)
Great Fairy of Power
: When you charge power for a Spin Attack, magic power will be consumed. Pay attention to your green Magic Meter! Hey, boy! You're a messenger of the Royal Family, aren't you? Next time you're in their neighborhood, you should drop in on a friend of mine who lives by Hyrule Castle. She'll surely grant you another new power! When battle has made you weary, please come back to see me.
Go down the mountain. Go to Hyrule Castle, and bomb the rock at the dead end (passed the bridge). Go inside. Stand on the Triforce Icon and play Zelda's Lullaby. The Great Fairy of Magic will appear.
Great Fairy of Magic
: Welcome Link! I am the Great Fairy of Magic! I will give you a magic spell. Please take it.
(The Great Fairy spreads her arms, and a red ball of light appears between them. It appears over Link as Din's Fire.)
Great Fairy of Magic
: You can use Din's Fire not only to attack but also to burn things! When battle has made you weary, please come back to see me.
Now head for Zora's Domain, to the right of Kakariko Village. First, you will have to pass through Zora's River. Once there, Kaepora Gaebora will talk to you.
Kaepora Gaebora
: Hoo hoo! Looks like you've gotten bigger and stronger already, Link! Just ahead lies Zora's Domain. The Zoras serve Hyrule's Royal Family by protecting this water source. Their door will not open for anyone except those who have some connection with the Royal Family. Let them hear the melody of the Royal Family! Hooo hoo hoooot!
He will fly away. Bomb the rocks blocking your path. Jump across to the other side of the river. Walk as far forward as you can, and then jump back to the other side. Follow the high road, and turn right twice. Jump off the edge, and walk as far forward as you can. Jump onto the square piece of land in the middle of the river. Go up the hill, and keep following the path. When you reach the waterfall, stand on the crest in front of it, and play Zelda's Lullaby. The waterfall will open. Jump into it. In Zora's Domain keep following the path up. Talk to the Zora on top of the waterfall. Play his game. After you win, talk to him again. He will give you a Silver Scale. Now go to Lake Hylia. Jump into the water where the pillars are sticking up, and look for a bottle. When you see one, dive for it. When you get it, go back to Zora's Domain and talk to King Zora.
King Zora
: Ho, this letter! It's from Princess Ruto!! Hmmm... Let's see... she's inside Lord Jabu-Jabu? That's not possible! Our guardian god, Lord Jabu-Jabu would never eat my dear Princess Ruto! But since that stranger Ganondorf came here, Lord Jabu-Jabu has been a little green around the gills... The evidence seems clear. Of course, you'll go find Ruto. You can pass through here to the altar of Lord Jabu-Jabu. I'll keep this letter. You keep the bottle it was in. Take it respectfully! Please find my dear Princess Ruto immediately... Zora!
After he moves over, go down to the shallow water in Zora's Domain, and catch a fish in a bottle. Use it in front of Lord Jabu-Jabu, and he will suck in the fish, and Link.
Inside Jabu-Jabu's Belly

Walk forward. At the end of the room, shoot the yellow thing on the cieling. The door will open. Keep walking through the next room. In the room after that, you'll find Princess Ruto standing in front of a pit.
(Cinema Scene)
Princess Ruto
: You! Who are you?! I am Ruto, Princess of the Zoras. What?! Are you saying my father asked you to come here to save me? I'd never ask anyone to do such a thing! "Letter in a Bottle"? I have no idea what you're talking about! My father is worried about me? I don't care! Anyway, I can't go home right now. And you... Get out of here! Understand?!
She turns around and falls into a pit.
Princess Ruto
: Ooooh noooooo!
Jump down after her, and talk to her again.
Princess Ruto
: Are you still hanging around here? I told you to go away! I'm OK. I've been going inside Lord Jabu-Jabu's belly since I was little, but... Lord Jabu-Jabu is very strange today... There are electrified jellyfish and strange holes around... On top of that, my precious stone was... but... That's none of your buisness! Anyway... You! Go home now! Understand?!
Talk to her again.
Princess Ruto
: You're that worried about me? Then I will give you the honor of carrying me! However... I won't leave until I find the thing I'm looking for. You'd better believe me!
Pick her up, and walk into the next room. Walk down the hallway, and then jump into the water. Throw Princess Ruto up onto the other side, and step on the switch. When the water is high, climb onto the ledge. Pick up Princess Ruto, and go forward. Hit the switch on the ceiling, and go through the door. Wait for the platform to come down, then jump on it. Walk through the door on the right again, but keep walking straight, avoiding the pits. Go through the door, and down the hallway on the right. With Princess Ruto still on your back, jump on the switch. Navi will talk to you.
Navi
: This switch... It doesn't look like you can press down on it with your weight alone. Link...
Walk through the door. Defeat all the Stingers in the room, and a treasure chest will appear. Inside is a boomerang. Take it, and go down the hallway farthest to the left. Jump on the switch, and drop Princess Ruto on it. Walk into the room. To defeat the Parasitic Tentacle?, Z-Target it, and hit it repeatedly with your boomerang. Once defeated, a treasure chest will appear. Go outside and pick up Princess Ruto. Turn left, and Navi will talk to you.
Navi
: The red slimy thing is gone! That must be because you cut the red tail! Will that work with the other ones too?
In the next room, defeat all the Shaboms within 40 seconds and a treasure chest will appear. Leave the room, and go down the hallway on the right. Turn left at the end. Defeat the Parasitic Tentacle? in the next room, and go down the hallway in the middle of the previous room. Defeat the Parasitic Tentacle? in the room at the end of that hallway, and leave the room with the three hallways. Jump down the pit farthest to the right. Go down the hallway, and through the door. Princess Ruto will talk to you.
Princess Ruto
: That's it! That's what I've been looking for! Throw me up there! Onto the platform!
Throw her onto the platform.
(Cinema Scene)
Princess Ruto walks up to Zora's Sapphire and picks it up.
Princess Ruto
: Oh my goodness! I finally found... My mother's stone... I got very upset when Lord Jabu-Jabu swallowed it... While I was feeding him, he suddenly swallowed me! I was so suprised I dropped it inside... But, now that I've found it, I don't need to be in here anymore! So, take me home, right now!
Walk forward.
The platform rises. Princess Ruto screams.
Princess Ruto
: Keeeyaaaah! What is this?! An octopus?!
The platform comes down, and a giant octopus jumps off.
Sub-Boss Fight: Bigocto

To defeat Bigocto, know this: the platform spins opposite the direction Bigocto runs. Hit it in the back with a boomerang, then again with the sword. Do this a few times and you'll win.
Go onto the platform, and through the door. In this room, hit the orange blocks with your boomerang, and use them to get to the door. In the next room, jump across to the small ledge, and put a box on top of the switch. In the next room, you have to climb to the top of the ledge, and throw your boomerang around the glass to hit the switch. The door will open. Walk through the door.
(Cinema Scene)
The door closes. Bari all come together, and the words "Bio-Electric Anemone Barinade" appear.
Boss Fight: Barinade
First, Z-Target it, and use the boomerang to hit it. Keep running around in circles to avoid its electric bolts. After a few hits, the Bari will make a huge circle, and move around the room counter-clockwise. Aim for it's body with the boomerang. Once you have hit it, repeatedly slash it. This time the Bari will form a smaller circle around it, and Barinade moves around as well. Difficult as it may seem, try to hit it with the boomerang. Once you've hit it, aim for the Bari. Once you're destroyed them all, Barinade will get up, fly around the room, and shoot electricity at you. Once again, hit it with the boomerang, and then with your sword. Do this a few more times, and victory will be yours.
(Cinema Scene)
Barinade puffs up, and explodes.
Walk into the light.
Princess Ruto
: You... You're late! What took you so long? You're useless! I was just lonely, that's all... Just a little!!
(Cinema Scene)
The light lifts up Princess Ruto and Link. They appear in Zora's Domain on a log. Link takes a step back and falls off. Princess Ruto jumps in after him.
Princess Ruto
: You! You looked cool... cooler than I thought you would, anyway... Just a little! Well, anyway, you saved me, so I guess I'll reward you. What do you wish? Just tell me...
I want that Spiritual Stone You mean the Spiritual Stone of Water, Zora's Sapphire, don't you?
Nothing really... Heeheehee... Don't be shy - I can tell what you are thinking...
My mother gave it to me and said I should give it only to the man who will be my husdband. You might call it the Zora's Engagement Ring! All right! I'll give you my most precious possession: Zora's Sapphire!
(Cinema Scene)
Princess Ruto swims back. A blue light appears above her head. Suddenly, there is a flash of light, and the Zora's Sapphire appears above Link's head.
Princess Ruto
: Don't tell my father...
Now go back to Hyrule Castle.
(Cinema Scene)
It starts to rain. Impa and Zelda run out of Hyrule Castle on a white horse. Zelda throws the Ocarina of Time into the moat. Ganondorf is behind them. He stops in front of Link.
Ganondorf
: Arrrrgh! I lost her! You, over there! Little kid! You must have seen a white horse gallop past just now... Which way did it go?! Answer me!! So, you think you can protect them from me... You've got guts kid.
(Link pulls out his sword and shield.)
Ganondorf: Heh heh heh... You want a piece of me?! Very funny! I like your attitude!
(Ganondorf zaps Link with a ball of electricity. Link flies back.)
Ganondorf
: Pathetic little fool! Do you realize who you are dealing with? I am Ganondorf! And soon, I will rule the world!
(He rides off into the distance. Link stants motionless.)
Jump into the moat, and grab the Ocarina of Time.
(Cinema Scene)
The screen goes white. Zelda appears standing in front of the Altar of Time.
Zelda
: Link... Can you hear me? It's me, Zelda... Link, when you hold this Ocarina in your hand... I won't be around anymore... I wanted to wait for you, but I couldn't delay any longer... At least I could leave you the Ocarina and this melody...
You will learn the Song of Time.
Zelda: Now, Link. Play this melody in front of the altar in the Temple of Time. You must protect the Triforce!
Now go to the Temple of Time in the Market. Once you're there, run straight until you reach the Altar of Time. Stand in front of it and play the Song of Time.
(Cinema Scene)
The three stones appear and circle above Link's head. They land in order on the Altar of Time, and the Triforce above the Door of Time lights up. The Door of Time opens. Walk through it.
Navi
: Link, isn't that...?!
Navi flies over to the Master Sword.
Navi
: It's that legendary blade... The Master Sword!!
Walk over to the Master Sword and press A.
(Cinema Scene)
A blue light surrounds Link as he grabs the Master Sword. Suddenly, Ganondorf appears.
Ganondorf
: Geh heh heh! Excellent work! As I thought, you held the keys to the Door of Time! You have led me to the gates of the Sacred Realm... Yes, I owe it all to you, kid!
(The screen fades with Ganondorf laughing.)
Rauru
: Link... Wake up... Link, the chosen one...
(Rauru appears in front of Link in the Chamber of the Sages.)
Rauru
: I am Rauru, one of the ancient Sages... Ages ago we ancient Sages built the Temple of Time to protect the entrance to the Sacred Realm... This is the Chamber of Sages, inside the Temple of Light... The Temple of Light, situated in the very centre of the Sacred Realm, is the stronghold against Ganondorf's evil forces. The Master Sword--the evil-destroying sword that you pulled out of the Pedestal of Time -- was the final key to the Sacred Realm. Link... Don't be alarmed... Look at yourself...!
(Link looks at himself, surprised to find out that he is big.)
Navi
: Look Link! You're big now!! You've grown up!
Rauru
: The Master Sword is a sacred blade which evil ones may never touch... Only one worthy of the title of "Hero of Time" can pull it from the Pedestal of Time... However, you were too young to be the Hero of Time... Therefore, your spirit was sealed here for seven years. And now that you are old enough, the time has come for you to awaken as the Hero of Time! Well, do you understand your destiny?
Yes But, remember... Though you opened the Door of Time in the name of peace... Ganondorf, the Gerudo King of Thieves, used it to enter this forbidden Sacred Realm! He obtained the Triforce from the Temple of Light, and with its power, he became the King of Evil... His evil power radiated from the temples of Hyrule, and in seven short years, it transformed Hyrule into a world of monsters. My power now has only little influence, even in this Sacred Realm... Namely, this Chamber of Sages. But there is still hope... when the power of all the Sages is awakened... The Sages' Seats will contain all the evil power in the void of the Realm... I, Rauru, am one of the Sages... And... Your power to fight together with the Sages makes you the Hero of Time! The Hero of Time chosen by the Master Sword! Keep my spirit with you... And the power of the other Sages and add their might to your own!
No Right, it looks like you are confused... Let me tell you again, from the beginning. The Master Sword...
(He gives you the Light Medallion)
Rauru
: Find the other Sages and save Hyrule!
Link appears in the Temple of Time.
Navi
: Link... we're back in the Temple of Time... But have seven years really passed? It looks like you won't be able to use some of the weapons you found as a kid anymore... Let's get out of here!
Link starts to walk away, and Sheik appears. Link draws his sword and shield.
Sheik
: I've been waiting for you, Hero of Time... When evil rules all, an awakening voice from the Sacred Realm will call those destined to be Sages, who dwell in the five temples. One in a deep forest... One on a high mountain... One under a vast lake... One within the house of the dead... One inside a goddess of the sand... Together with the Hero of Time, the awakened ones will bind the evil and return the light of peace to the world... This is the legend of the temples passed down by my people, the Sheikah. I am Sheik, survivor of the Sheikahs... As I see you standing there holding the mythical Master Sword you really do look like the legendary Hero of Time... If you believe the legend, you have no choice. You must look for the five temples and awaken the five sages... One Sage is waiting for the time of awakening in the Forest Temple. The Sage is a girl I am sure you know... Because of the evil power in the temple, she cannot hear the awakening call from the Sacred Realm... Unfortunately, equipped as you currently are, you cannot even enter the temple... But if you believe what I am saying, you should head to Kakariko Village... Do you understand, Link?
At this point, go to the graveyard in Kakariko Village. Go to the row of tombstones along the left wall. Pull the first one, and jump in. When you walk forward, Dampé will talk to you.
Dampé: Heh heh heh, young man! Are you fast on your feet? I may not look like it, but I'm confident in my speed! Let's have a race! Follow me if you dare!
Follow Dampé, and avoid the flames he drops along the way. When you beat him, talk to him.
Dampé
: The time of this race was (minute"second")!! Heheh, young man... you were very quick to be able to keep up with me! Hehehe! As a reward, I'm going to give you my treasure. It's called the hookshot! It's spring-loaded chain will pull you to any spot where the hook sticks. Doesn't that sound cool! I'm sure it will help you! I live here now, so come back again sometime. I'll give you something cool! One more thing! Be careful on your way back! heheheh....
He disappears in a flash of blue fire. Inside the big treasure chest is the hookshot. To get out of the grave, play the Song of Time in front of the blue block. Go back to the Sacred Forest Meadow. Along the way, you'll come across Mido. Play Saria's Song for him.
Mido
: That melody?! Saria plays that song all the time! You... Do you know Saria? That song... Saria taught that song only to her friends... OK... I trust you. When I see you... I don't know why, but I remember... him...
When you enter the Sacred Forest Meadow, Navi will talk to you.
Navi
: From here on, we'll be going through some narrow passages! If you take it slow, maybe you can sneak up on some enemies. Use Z-Targeting to always look in the proper direction. Set your view so you can see down the next corridor before you turn a corner. Once your view is set, hold down Z to sidestep around the corner. That way you won't be surprised by an enemy waiting in ambush.
Make your way to the place where Saria was. Sheik will appear.
Sheik
: The flow of time is always cruel... Its speed seems different for each person, but no one can change it... A thing that doesn't change with time is a memory of younger days... In order to come back here again, play the Minuet of Forest.
You will learn the Minuet of Forest.
(Cinema Scene)
Link and Sheik play the Minuet of Forest together.
Sheik
: Link... I'll see you again...
Sheik disappears. Use the hookshot to hit the tree stump above the ledge that you can't reach. Go through the door.
Forest Temple

The first thing you do in the Forest Temple is climb up the vines on the right wall. Get on the tree and jump to the opposite tree. There you will find a treasure chest with a key inside. Go through the door and down the hallway. There, some strange supernatural activity will take place.
(Cinema Scene)
The four flames will disappear to be replaced by ghosts. The elevator will go down, and the ghosts float away laughing. The room becomes eerily dark.
Go through the door across the room. Cross the hallway. In the next room, you will have to fight two Stalfos'. Z-Target them, and strike when they let their guard down. Once you've defeated them, a treasure chest with a key inside will appear. Grab the key, and head back to the main room. Find a hallway with a blue stone at the end of it, and play the Song of Time in front of it. It will disappear. Walk through the door. Go to the right side of the room, defeat the first two Skullwalltulas, and start climbing. You'll have to maneuver around the third one to make it to the ledge. In the next room, you have to destroy the Blue Bubble. When you do, a treasure chest will appear, and the bars blocking the door will be lifted. In the next room, aim your hookshot at the target above the ledge. Step on the switch and the water in the well will go down. Jump down the well and run to the other side. Get the key and climb the wall. Go back to the main room, and go to the door to the right of where you are. Go down the hallway. In the next room, go up the ladders and around the corner. Navi will talk to you.
Navi
: There are arrows painted on the floor!
Pull the block on the left back until it is lined up with the edge of the hallway. Then, push it down the hallway as far as you can. Go down the hallway where the block came from, and make a u-turn around the wall so that you're facing the block again. Push it as far as you can. Go back to the hallway where the block came from and climb up the ladder. Turn right at the end of the hallway, and right again so that you're facing another block. Push it as far as you can. Go back down the ladder and use the first block to get to the ledge. Go down the hallway, and again, push the block as far as you can. Use the block to pull yourself up to the ledge. Follow the hallway, and go up the ladder. Use your key to get to the twisted hallway. Navi will talk to you.
Navi
: This corridor is all twisted!
At the end of the hallway, Navi will talk to you again.
Navi
: Watch for the shadows of monsters that hang from the ceiling.
Don't stand in one spot for too long, or a Wallmaster will take you to the beginning of the temple. Use your last key to get to the next room. Keep going down the stairs to the next room. You'll have to fight three Stalfos'. The first one is by itself, but once you defeat it, two more attack. Once you've defeated them both, you'll get the Fairy Bow. Now go back to the room with all the stairs. Shoot the pictures on the wall, but only when you see a Poe in the frame. Once you shoot all of them, a Poe named Joelle appears. To defeat her, simply slash when she's visible, and keep your shield up when she's not. Once you've defeated her, an orange flame will land on the torch and light up the room. Make sure you get the key beside it. Go through the room where you fought the Stalfos, and do the same thing in the next room. This time, a Poe named Beth appears. Defeat her the same way as you did the first. This time when you defeat her, a blue flame will light up the room and a big treasure chest will appear. Go back outside the twisted hallway, and shoot the eye above it. The hallway will untwist. Now you can get the Boss Key from the treasure chest. Jump down the hole in the middle of the room, and defeat the two Blue Bubbles Go through the door, down to the far end of the ledge, and turn right. In the next room, defeat the Floormaster and get the key. Now go all the way back to where you defeated the last Poe. Remember to shoot the eye above the door to the twisted hallway. Once there, turn right and climb the ladder to reach the opening. When you enter the room, Navi will talk to you.
Navi
: Watch for the shadows of monsters that hang from the ceiling.
Use your last key at the end of the hallway. In this room, have your arrows ready to fly, and shoot when the fire is lined up with the frozen eye. If you have good aim, the eye will unfreeze, and the hallway will untwist. Go down the hallway, and jump into the hole in the floor. Here, you have to get to the other side of the room, while avoiding the falling ceiling. Navi will talk to you.
Navi
: Link, watch out! The ceiling is falling down!
The first safe square is brown, and has a Skulltula hanging over it. Defeat it before the ceiling lands to be safe. The next square you should run to is one in front of the one you're on now. It has a switch on it. After this, make a quick dash for the treasure chest. Be careful of the Skulltula. Make a run for the door, and enter the next room. In this room, shoot the picture. Arrange the blocks so that they make a picture of a Poe. The one block that's dark blue should be removed, as it doesn't fit anywhere in the picture. Once you're done, a Poe named Amy will appear. Defeat her in the same manner as the others. Once she's gone, a green flame will light up on the torch. Go through the door, down the hallway, and you'll end up in the main room with three torches lit up. To fight the last Poe, Meg, go to the middle of the room. To spot the real Poe, look for the one that spins before they start circling you. To hit her, use either the hookshot or the bow. Once you've defeated her, the final torch, as well as the room will light up. The elevator will rise. Go down the elevator. One of the first things that you'll notice is that there are two blocks in the room. Face the hallway (passed the gate), and turn left. Push the block. Step on the switch, then push the block again. Step on the switch, then push the block two more times. Step on the switch and go through the door at the end of the hallway. Walk up the stairs, and into the middle of the room. Try to walk out.
(Cinema Scene)
Three spikes go up and Phantom Ganon appears behind you on his horse. He laughs, and pulls off his mask. He floats up. The words "Evil Spirit From Beyond Phantom Ganon" appear. Phantom Ganon flies into a painting.
Phantom Ganon
To defeat him, stand on a Triforce Icon in a corner of the room. Always have an arrow ready to shoot. Phantom Ganon will appear riding his horse in two paintings. The real one will have a purple portal in front of it just before he jumps out, and the fake one will stop before it reaches the limits of the painting. Hit the real one with an arrow before he gets to another painting. Do this three times, and his horse will disappear. Now he floats around shooting balls of electricity at you. Z-Target him, and keep hitting them back at him with your sword until he's down. Once he is, slash him repeatedly. Do this a few times, and you'll have won.
(Cinema Scene)
Phantom Ganon floats and burns up in a blue fire. A purple portal appears, and he is sucked in screaming.
Ganondorf
: Hey kid, you did quite well... It looks like you may be gaining some slight skill... But you have defeated only my phantom... When you fight the real me, it won't be that easy! What a worthless creation that ghost was! I will banish it to the gap between dimensions!!
Walk into the light.
(Cinema Scene)
A crystal forms around Link, and spins. He appears in the Chamber of the Sages. Out of a blue light on the Forest Medallion Icon, Saria appears.
Saria
: Thank you... Because of you, I could awaken as a Sage... I am Saria. The Sage of the Forest Temple... I always believed that you would come. Because I knew you... No... You don't have to explain it to me... Because it is destiny that you and I can't live in the same world. I will stay here as the Forest Sage and help you... Now, please take this Medallion...
(Cinema Scene)
She lifts her arms, and the Forest Medallion falls into Link's hands.
Saria
: Saria will always be... your friend...
(Cinema Scene)
Link appears in front of the Deku Tree. Something appears to be growing there. Link goes in for closer inspection, and it pops up. Link falls back screaming.
Deku Tree Sprout: Hi there! I'm the Deku Tree Sprout! Because you and Saria broke the curse on the Forest Temple, I can grow and flourish! Thanks a lot!
Link walks closer.
Deku Tree Sprout: Hey, have you seen your old friends? None of them recognized your grown-up body, did they? That's because the Kokiri never grow up! Even after seven years, they're still kids! You must be wondering why only you have grown up! Well, as you may have guessed, you are not a Kokiri! You are actually a Hylian! I am happy to finally reveal this secret to you!
(Cinema Scene)
Fire is burning
Deku Tree Sprout: Some time ago, before the King of Hyrule unified this country, there was a fierce war in our world. One day, to escape from the fires of the war, a Hylian mother and her baby boy entered this forbidden forest. The mother was gravely injured... Her only choice was to entrust the child to the Deku Tree, the guardian spirit of the forest. The Deku Tree could sense that this was a child of destiny, whose fate would affect the entire world, so he took him into the forest. After the mother passed away, the baby was raised as a Kokiri. And now, finally, the day of destiny has come!
(Scene cuts back to the Kokiri Forest.)
Deku Tree Sprout: You are a Hylian, and were always bound to leave this forest. And now... You learned your own destiny... So you know what you must do... That's right... You must save the land of Hyrule! Now, Link, break the curse on all of the Temples and return peace to Hyrule!
Now go to Goron City, and bomb the Goron rolling around.
Link
: How could you do this to me? You, you're Ganondorf's servant! Hear my name and tremble! I am Link! Hero of the Gorons!
Talk to him
Link
: What? Your name is also Link? Then you must be the legendary Dodongo Buster and Hero, Link! My dad is Darunia... Do you remember him? Dad named me Link after you, because you're so brave! It's a cool name! I really like it! Link, you're a hero to us Gorons! I'm so glad to meet you! Please give me your autograph! Sign it: "To my friend, Link of the Gorons" Oh... I guess it's not a good time to ask you for this... Please help everyone! My dad, Darunia went to the Fire Temple. A dragon is inside! If we don't hurry up, even my dad will be eaten by the dragon! B-b-b-boooo hooooo!
First ask him About the dragon
Link
: A long time ago there was an evil dragon named Volvagia living in this mountain. That dragon was very scary! He ate Gorons! Using a huge hammer, the hero of the Gorons... BOOOM! Destroyed it just like that. This is a myth from a long time ago, but it's true! I know, because my dad is a descendant of the hero! B-b-b-boooo hooooo!
Now, ask him About the Gorons
Link
: Everybody was taken to the Fire Temple... While my dad was out... Ganondorf's followers came and took them all away! All of them will be eaten by Volvagia! Dad said that Ganondorf has revived Volvagia... As a warning to those who might oppose him, Ganondorf is going to feed them all to Volvagia! Dad went to the Fire Temple all by himself to try to save everyone... Please help, Link! I'll give you this heat resistant tunic!
You now have the Goron Tunic, and all the doors on the bottom floor are open. Put on the tunic and go to the room where Darunia used to be. Grab the statue in between the two torches and pull it back. Go through the passageway. Use your hookshot to get across the broken bridge. Walk forward and Sheik will appear.
Sheik
: It is something that grows over time... a true friendship. A feeling in the heart that becomes even stronger over time... The passion of friendship will soon blossom into a righteous power and through it, you will know which way to go... This song is dedicated to the power of the heart... Listen to the Bolero of Fire...
You will learn the Bolero of Fire. Now whenever you play it, you will be transported to the Triforce Icon in front of the Fire Temple.
(Cinema Scene)
Link and Sheik play the Bolero of Fire together.
Sheik: Link... I'll see you again...
A wall of fire appears and Sheik disappears. Go across the bridge and turn left onto the path. Jump down the hole.
Fire Temple

Go up the stairs and go through the door on the left.
(Cinema Scene)
The camera zooms across the room to Darunia.
Darunia
: Who's there? Is that you, Link...? Oh, it really is Link! You've grown so big since I last saw you! I want to have a man-to-man talk with you, but now's not the time. Ganondorf is causing trouble on Death Mountain again! He has revived the evil, ancient dragon Volvagia! On top of that, he is going to feed my people to that evil dragon as a warning to other races that might resist him... If that fire-breathing dragon escapes from the mountain, all of Hyrule will become a burning wasteland! I will go on ahead to try to seal up the evil dragon... I'm concerned, though, because I don't have the legendary hammer... But I have no choice. Link... I'm asking you to do this as my Sworn Brother... While I'm trying to deal with the dragon, please save my people! The prisoners' cells are in the opposite direction. I'm counting on you, Link!
(He walks through the door.)
Go along the left side of the room and step on the switch. The bars will slide open. It is not necessary to talk to any of the Gorons, so if you want to save time, just get the keys in the treasure chests beside them. Once you have the key, go back to the first room, and go through the door across the hall. Go to the far end of the right side of the room, and into the next room. Release the Goron and grab the key. Go to the far end of the previous room, and bomb the wall where there is a rectangle of bricks on the cave wall. Release the Goron in the next room, and get the key. Go back to the previous room, and use the key on the locked door at the other end of the bridge. In the next room, climb the fence to reach the two ledges at the top. One of the ledges has a block underneath it. Push the block off the ledge, and use it to boost yourself to the next floor. In the next room, climb up the ledges on the left, and jump on the ledge across from where you are. Push the block off the ledge and jump down. Pull the block back as far as you can. Climb the block, and use it to reach the fence on the wall. Climb the fence. Go to the far end of the ledge, and use your hookshot on the crystal switch on the ledge below you. The fire surrounding the fence on the ledge above you will go down. Quickly climb the fence. Go to the far right side of the next room, and release the Goron. Be careful of the rolling boulders. Don't forget to take the key with you. Make your way to the other side of the room, and go through the door. Release the Goron and get the key. Go back to the room with the rolling boulders and stay along the wall on the right side of the room. You should come across a locked door. Use one of your keys here. Go through the door on the other end of the next room. Follow the brick path, and jump onto the chain link floor.
(Cinema Scene)
A wall of fire appears behind Link.
Run as fast as you can to the other end of the room. Climb up the ledges and go through the door. You are now back in the room with the rolling boulders, except now you are above them. Jump to the next ledge, and bomb the floor where there's a crack. Jump down, release the Goron and get the key. Go back up the fence. Now, jump to the ledge with a switch on it, and jump on the switch. Carefully make your way to the other end of the room (where the Goron was locked up), and get the key. Now go back to the room where you were chased by fire. Go to the middle of the room, and jump to the ledge where you can see a door. Go through the door, down the hallway, and into the next room. This room is a maze, and if you go between two wrong pillars, a wall of fire will shoot up and hurt Link. Stay on the left side of the room. First, go between the two pillars closest to the wall. Turn about 45 degrees to the right and go through the next two sets of pillars. After the second set, turn left, go through the pillars, then right and through the pillars, then straight through the next set of pillars. You should now be facing a huge pillar with faces on it, and a few pots. Turn right and go through the set of pillars, and right again through the next set. Now unlock the door. Go across the hall and through the next door. You are now on the other side of the maze. Go straight through the next two sets of pillars. The second set is actually a little bit off to the right. Turn left and go through the set of pillars closest to the wall. Jump on the switch, and quickly get up the ledge. To get there, you have to go back through the last set of pillars, turn right, and keep going straight. Blow up the door to reveal the real door. Go to the next room. To defeat the Flame Dancer, Z-Target it, and hit it with your hookshot or a bomb. Keep slashing it's body. The body will jump back into the fire a few times, so you have to repeat this pattern a couple of times.
(Cinema Scene)
After you've defeated the Flame Dancer, the fire in the middle of the room will go down, and the bars blocking the door will be lifted.
Jump up where the fire used to be, and you'll be lifted up to the next floor. Go through the door, and climb up the fence on the right side of the room. Stand as close as you can to the end of the ledge (in the middle), facing the face on the wall. Now use your hookshot to hit the crystal switch beneath the ledge. Climb up the fence before the fire comes back up. Inside the next room, go to the left and jump on the switch. Carefully but quickly, make your way up to the treasure chest before the fire comes back up. Inside the treasure chest you'll find the Megaton Hammer. Go back to the entrance of the room, and jump on the square sticking out of the ground. Use the hammer on it, and you will fall into a different room. Use the hammer on the statue blocking the door. In the next room, use the hammer on the pillar in between the two torches.
(Cinema Scene)
A staircase is formed out of the floor.
Pick up one of the boxes in the corner of the room, and place it on the blue switch. Go through the door. Once again, use the hammer on the square sticking out of the ground. You'll fall back into the maze room. Once there, use the pillar to pull yourself up to the ledge. Approach the switch and Navi will talk to you.
Navi
: This switch looks rusted.
Use the hammer on the switch and the door will open. In the next room, play the Song of Time at the edge of the ledge so that the blue block appears on the floor. Use it to get up to the opposite ledge. Pound the switch with the hammer and get the key. Go back through the door from which you came and jump across to the giant pillar. Jump on it, and pound it. You are now back in the room where you saw Darunia. Exit the room, and go down the stairs. Use the hammer on the statue on the right side of the room. Go through the door, and kill all the enemies. In the next room, there's nothing to do, but in the room after that, you'll have to fight another Flame Dancer. This time, you have an advantage. If you pound the ground with the hammer the flames will disappear and the body is open for hits. Do this a few times and go to the next room. Use the hammer on the switch, and get the Boss Key. Go back to the room where you saw Darunia and go through the door with the big lock on it. Jump into the middle of the room.
(Cinema Scene)
The platform behind Link burns up. A dragon flies up from a hole in the ground, and breathes fire at Link. The dragon goes back into the ground, and the words "Subterranean Lava Dragon Volvagia" appear.
Boss Fight: Volvagia

Volvagia will pop it's head out of one of the holes in the ground. Hit it with the hammer. His head will fall on the ground. Keep hitting it, either with your sword or hammer. It will go back into the ground, fly up, and breathe fire at you. To stay safe, put the hammer away (if you have it out), and keep your shield up. The next time it flies around, rocks will fall. Use the same strategy as before, except this time, walk around, and try to avoid the rocks. After repeating this pattern a few times, you'll have won.
(Cinema Scene)
Volvagia flies out of a hole, flies around and burns up into a skeleton. His skull lands in front of Link and burns up.
Walk into the light.
(Cinema Scene)
A crystal forms around Link and spins. You appear in the Chamber of the Sages. Out of a blue light on the Fire Medallion Icon, Darunia appears.
Darunia
: Thank you, Brother! I really appreciate what you did. I thank you on behalf of the entire Goron race! You turned out to be a real man, just as I thought you would! By the way, I, the wild Darunia, turned out to be the great Sage of Fire... Isn't that funny, Brother? Well, this must be what they call destiny. Nothing has made me happier than helping you seal the evil here! Hey, Brother, take this! This is a medallion that contains the power of the fire spirits--and my friendship.
(Cinema Scene)
He lifts his arms, and the Fire Medallion falls into Link's hands.
Darunia
: Don't forget... Now you and I are true Brothers!
Go to Zora's Fountain. Use the icebergs to get inside the Ice Cavern.
Ice Cavern

Keep walking down the path until you get to a room with some red ice and a few Freezzards. Use your sword to destroy the stalagmites if they're in your way. Also, watch for falling stalactites throughout the cavern. Destroy the Freezards. Once you do, you'll be able to move on. Eventually, you'll get to a room with a huge spinning blade. Avoid it as best you can, and get all the silver Rupees. There are three around the spinning blade, one behind a wall of stalagmites, and one above the spinning blade that you have to jump off a ledge to get. Once you have them all, a door will open. Go through it. You'll reach a room with a few Ice Keese, a few Freezzards, and a spinning blade in it. There's also a blue flame. When you walk up to it, Navi will talk to you.
Navi
: This blue fire... it doesn't seem natural. Maybe you can use it for something!
Swipe a bottle at the blue flame, and you can carry it around. Put a flame in as many bottles as you can. Go back to the room with the huge spinning blade, and melt the red ice there. Down one of the hallways is more blue fire, and down the other is a room with a lot of silver Rupees to get. Go to the latter. Most of the Rupees are easy to get - use the block of ice to jump for one, and the other is almost at ground level. To get the others, first push the block of ice toward the silver Rupee on top of a pice of ice sticking out of the ground. Climb up the block of ice, and get the Rupee. Then push it towards another piece of ice with a Rupee on it, that is across the room. Get the Rupee, then push the block of ice into a hole in the ground. It will reappear where it started. Now push it towards the piece of ice directly in front of it, then to the right. Climb up onto the ledge, and use some blue fire to melt the red ice. Now that you have the final Rupee, the bars blocking the entrance to the next room are lifted. Again, push the block of ice into a hole. If you need blue fire, get it now. Go through the passageway that was just opened. To get there, push the block of ice left, and then right four times. Further down the passage, use some blue fire to melt the red ice blocking the way. Go through the door and defeat the White Wolfos. A treasure chest will appear. Inside are the Iron Boots. Get them and Sheik will appear.
(Cinema Scene)
Link is startled when he turns around and sees Sheik standing behind him.
Sheik
: If you came back here to meet the Zoras, you wasted your time... This is all there is... With one exception, the Zoras are now sealed under this thick ice sheet... I managed to rescue the Zora princess from under the ice, but... she left to head for the Water Temple... This ice is created by an evil curse... The monster in the Water Temple is the source of this curse. Unless you shut off the source, this ice will never melt... If you have courage enough to confront the danger and save the Zoras, I will teach you the melody that leads to the temple. Time passes, people move... Like a river's flow, it never ends... A childish mind will turn to noble ambition... Young love will become deep affection... The clear water's surface reflects growth... Now listen to the Serenade of Water to reflect upon yourself....
You will learn the Serenade of Water. Now whenever you play it, you will be transported to the Triforce Icon in front of the Water Temple.
(Cinema Scene)
Link and Sheik play the Serenade of Water together.
Sheik
: Link... I'll see you again...
Link runs toward Sheik as he disappears.
Jump into the pool of water behind the treasure chest, and Navi will talk to you.
Navi
: You can't breathe underwater! If you start choking, take off those boots!
Before you leave, get one more blue flame.
Unfreeze King Zora. Talk to him.
King Zora: Oh--I've come back to life! Was it you who saved me? Don't be nervous! It looks like you have a hard time breathing underwater. As an expression of my gratitude, I grant you this tunic. With this, you won't choke underwater.
You now have theZora Tunic. Now go to Lake Hylia. Jump into what little water is left and put on the Zora Tunic and the Iron Boots. Find the underwater gate, and use the hookshot to shoot the stone above it. The gate will open. Walk in.
Water Temple

First, take off your Iron Boots, walk down the path, jump in the water, and put them back on. Find a doorway with two torches beside it. Down the hallway, you'll see Princess Ruto, all grown up.
Princess Ruto: Oh... you... If I'm right... Link?! You're Link, aren't you? It's me, your fiancée, Ruto! Princess of the Zoras!
Link is stunned.
Princess Ruto: I never forgot the vows we made to each other seven years ago! You're a terrible man to have kept me waiting for these seven long years... But now is not the time to talk about love... I'm sure you've already seen it! Zora's Domain--totally frozen! A young man named Sheik saved me from the ice... But my father and the other Zoras have not... yet... I want to save them all! I want to save Zora's Domain! You! You have to help me! This is a request from me, the woman who is going to be your wife! Link, you have to help me destroy the evil monster in the Temple, OK?! Inside the Water Temple there are three places where you can change the water level. I'll lead the way. Follow me, quickly!!
(Cinema Scene)
Pincess Ruto swims straight up.
Take off the Iron Boots and follow her up. Stand in front of the Triforce Icon and play Zelda's Lullaby. The water level will drop. Jump back down the hole. Now stand between the two torches and use Din's Fire to light them. Destroy all the Shell Blades and get the key in the treasure chest that appears. Go back to the main room, and find the block. Jump up on the platform and push it as far as you can. Then jump in the water and put on the Iron Boots. Go the the end of the hallway and put the Kokiri Boots on. Hit the crystal switch and water will spring up from the ground. Use it to get to the other side of the room. Then go through the door. In the next room, jump in the water and position yourself directly in front of the hole in the wall. Put on the Iron Boots when you're above the statue on the right. Use the hookshot to hit the crystal switch, and then to hit the target in the opening. Quickly run into the open gate. Put the Kokiri Boots back on, and float up the passage in the ceiling. Get the key and hit the crystal switch. Put on the Iron Boots and get under the gate before it closes. Go back to the main room and unlock the door in the center structure. Use the hookshot to pull yourself up to the ledge and play Zelda's Lullaby in front of the Triforce Icon. The water level will rise. Float in the middle of the room and put on the Iron Boots. Fall through the hole in the floor. Go down the hallway and hit the crystal switch. Defeat all the enemies that fall from the ceiling and a gateway in the ceiling will open. Put on the Kokiri Boots and float up. Grab the key, then float back up as high as you can in the center structure. Walk out the door to the second floor. Put on the Iron Boots and go back to the room where you saw Princess Ruto. Put on the Kokiri Boots and float up to the second floor. Use a bomb on the crack in the wall. Get the key. Go back to the main room. Use a key on the locked door. Stand on the spring, but watch out for the falling Blue Tektite. Hit the crystal switch and the spring will rise. Go through the door and play Zelda's Lullaby in front of the Triforce Icon. The water level will rise. Use the key on the locked door. Watch out for the Keese in the next room. When you're there, go through the door. In the next room, hit the crystal switch in the middle of the room. Use the hookshot to get to the ledge across from you. Hit the switch again and use the hookshot to reach the platform across the one you're on. Jump over the statue and hit the crystal switch again. Use the hookshot to get to the platform across from you. Hit the crystal switch, and jump on the statue's head. Hit the crystal switch one last time, then climb into the hole in the wall. Use the hookshot on the Like-Like to get to the door. Go to the next room. Go to the other end of the room. You'll find that the door is locked. Turn around and you'll see Dark Link standing beside a tree.
Sub-Boss Fight: Dark Link

To defeat him easily, use Din's Fire repeatedly, or Z-Target him and continually hit him with the hammer. If you want a real fight, try using the sword.
(Cinema Scene)
Once you've defeated him the room will change into a normal-looking room. It was all just an illusion.
Go through the door. Open the big treasure chest to find the longshot. Stand behind the treasure chest and play the Song of Time so that the block disappears. Jump down the hole. When you approach the water, Navi will talk to you..
Navi
: Link! Be careful! Don't get swallowed by the vortexes!
Jump in the water and do your best to avoid the vortexes. Once you've reached the final vortex, get as close as possible to the edge of the vortex without falling in, and aim for the target on the ceiling with the longshot. Use an arrow to hit the eye across the ledge and the gate blocking the exit will be lifted. Get the key from the treasure chest. Go back to the main room and float up to the third floor. Go through the passage to the right of the entrance. Put on the Iron Boots to sink down, then, when you've reached the end of the hallway, pull the block back as far as you can. Put the Kokiri Boots back on to float up, then put on the Iron Boots back on to sink all the way down. Get the water to stay at the second floor. Find the hallway with an eye beneath it and shoot the eye with an arrow. Quickly whip out the longshot and hit the target. At the end of the hallway push the block as far as you can. On the right side of the block is a key. Once you have it, sink down to the first floor. Go into the only passage that you can fall down and use the longshot to reach the door. Get to the other side of the next room and go through the door. Defeat all the Stingers. After that, blow up the wall where you see cracks. Go to the one on the left of the room and push the block as far as you can. Then go to the other side of the room and pull it as far as you can. Return to the left side of the room and push the block into the water. It will land on a switch and the water will rise. Go through the door. In the next room, step on the switch and use the water to get to the other door. In the room after that, turn right when you can, and put on the Iron Boots to sink down at the end of the path. Again, watch for rolling boulders. At the end of the hallway, put on the Kokiri Boots and float up to the door. Open the treasure chest in the next room to get the Boss Key. Go back to the main room and raise the water to the top. Find the statue with a target on it and hit the target with the longshot. In the next room you have to get to the top of the room without being hit by any of the blades. Never at any point stop pressing forward, or you will slide back down. Once you're at the top, go through the door, and be prepared to fight. As you approach the water, Navi will talk to you.
Navi
: Link! Look out! That isn't normal water over there!
(Cinema Scene)
Morpha's eye view of Link - it is circling him. The words "Giant Aquatic Amoeba Morpha" appear.
Boss Fight: Morpha
To defeat Morpha, Z-Target it and hit it with the longshot. If you grab the center it will be pulled towards you. Slash it as many times as you can before it goes back into the water. After you hit it a few times another body for it will appear. Now you have to dodge both of them while still hitting Morpha with the longshot. After enough hits, Morpha will be no more.
(Cinema Scene)
Morpha floats up and explodes into droplets of water. All the water is sucked up to the ceiling. It evaporates into little droplets of water, and then a big droplet falls and crashes on the floor.
Walk into the light.
(Cinema Scene)
A crystal forms around Link and spins. He appears in the Chamber of the Sages. Out of a blue light on the Water Medallion Icon, Princess Ruto appears.
Princess Ruto: Link... I would have expected no less from the man I chose to be my husdband. Zora's Domain and it's people will eventually return to their original state. As a reward... I grant my eternal love to you.
(Link is shocked.)
Princess Ruto: Well, that's what I want to say, but I don't think I can offer that now. I have to guard the Water Temple as the Sage of Water. And you... You're searching for the princess, Zelda? Hah! You can't hide anything from me! Princess Zelda... She's alive. I can sense it... so don't be discouraged. I can tell that nothing will stop you in your quest for justice and peace... You must take this Medallion... Take it respectfully!
(Cinema Scene)
She lifts her arms and the Water Medallion falls into Link's hands.
Princess Ruto
: If you see Sheik, please give him my thanks, OK?
(Cinema Scene)
All the water in Lake Hylia rises.
Sheik
: As the water rises, the evil is vanishing from the lake... Link, you did it!
A blue light transports Link to the Triforce Icon above the Water Temple.Link runs to Sheik.
Sheik: Did Ruto want to thank me? I see.... We have to return peace to Hyrule for her sake, too. Don't we? Look at that, Link...
(The camera shows Lake Hylia.)
Sheik: Together, you and Princess Ruto destroyed the evil monster! Once again, the lake is filled with pure water. All is as it was here.
Different parts of Lake Hylia are shown. Link looks over at the water and turns around to find Sheikmissing. Sheik is actually on the tree. He and dives into the water.
Take the bow and stand on the plaque by the tree. Shoot an arrow at the sun and a Fire Arrow will land on the island in front of you. Pick it up, then go to Kakariko Village.
(Cinema Scene)
Link runs into Kakariko Village to find the whole place in flames. He runs towardsSheik.
Sheik
: Get back, Link!
The wooden frame above the well blows off. An invisible force grabs and throws Sheik. Something comes out of the well and crawls all over the village. Link is prepared to fight, but is knocked out. He wakes up to see Sheik.
Sheik
: Looks like you're coming around... Link.... A terrible thing has happened! The evil shadow spirit has been released! Impa, the leader of Kakariko Village, has sealed the evil shadow spirit in the bottom of the well.... But the force of the evil spirit got so strong, the seal of the well broke, and it escaped into the world!! I believe Impa has gone to the Shadow Temple to seal it again, but... she will be in danger without any help! Link! Impa is one of the six Sages. Destroy the evil shadow spirit and save Impa! There is an entrance to the Shadow Temple beneath the graveyard behind this village. The only thing I can do for you is teach you the melody that will lead you to the Shadow Temple... This is the melody that will draw you into infinite darkness that absorbs even time... Listen to this, the Nocturne of Shadow!!
You will learn the Nocturne of Shadow. Now whenever you play it, you will be transported to the Triforce Icon above the Shadow Temple.
Link and Sheik play the Nocturne of Shadow together.
Sheik: Let me take care of the village! I'm counting on you, Link!
Sheik steps back and disappears.
Now go to the windmill and pull out the Ocarina in front of the windmill guy.
Windmill Guy
: What?! You've got an ocarina?! What the heck! That reminds me of that time seven years ago! Back then a mean kid came here and played a strange song. It messed up this windmill!
You will learn the Song of Storms. The camera zooms away from Link and it starts raining in the windmill.
Now go back to the Temple of Time. Walk towards the Pedestal of Time.
Sheik
: You destroyed the wicked creatures that haunted the temple and awakened the Sage... But there are still other Sages who need your help. In order to awaken all the other Sages, you must become even more powerful. You must travel over mountains... under water... and even through time... If you want to return to your original time, return the Master Sword to the Pedestal of Time. By doing this, you will travel back in time seven years.... The time will come when you will have to return here quickly... I will teach this to you for when that time comes... The song is to return you to the Temple of Time... The Prelude of Light...
You will learn the Prelude of Light. Now whenever you play it you will be transported to the Triforce Icon in the Temple of Time.
Link and Sheik play the Prelude of Light together.
Sheik: As long as you hold the Ocarina of Time and the Master Sword, you hold time itself in your hands... Link, we shall meet again!
(Sheik disappears)
Travel back through time and go to Kakariko Village. Go back inside the windmill and play the Song of Storms in front of the windmill guy.
(Cinema Scene)
It starts to rain, and the windmill starts spinning so fast that all the water is drained out of the well. Now go to the bottom of the well.
Bottom of the Well
First, go through the hole and kill the
Skulltula further down. Keep going straight and walk through the wall. This floor is more or less square, so you can go left or right. If you go right, turn left at the end, and if you turn left, go right at the end. Stand on the Triforce Icon and play Zelda's Lullaby. The water will drain. Go back in front of the wall that you could walk through, and jump into the hole. Go through the opening in the wall. Climb up the wall and into the next room, but watch out for the Skulltula. Now you have to fight the Dead Hand. To defeat it, get close to it and hit it's head when it lowers it. Watch out for the hands. If you come too close they'll grab you, and if Dead Hand is close enough, they will give him a few shots at you. You can defeat the hands, but after a few seconds they come back. After you hit Dead Hand a few times, he will back off an disappear into the ground. You should run now too, because he causes an earthquake. He will only reappear if you get grabbed by a hand. After you defeat it, a big treasure chest containing the Lens of Truth will appear. Get it, and leave the well.
Go back to the
Temple of Time and time travel. Play the Nocturne of Shadow and click on "OK". Go down the passage and jump on the stone in the center. Use Din's Fire. The stone will lift, revealing an entrance. Walk inside.
Shadow Temple

Turn the corner and use the
longshot to get across the gap. When you walk forward, the words "The Shadow will yield only to one with the eye of truth, handed down in Kakariko Village." will appear. If you use the Lens of Truth, you can see that the wall in front of you is fake. Turn left around the corner and walk straight to the wall. Turn left and you'll see that this wall is fake too. Walk through it and go to the next room. The wall across the hall is fake. When you approach it, the words "One who gains the eye of truth will be able to see what is hidden in the darkness." will appear. The next room is a small square, so go around the structure in the middle and find a fake wall directly across from the one you came in from (it will have a pot on either side). When you approach it, the words "Shadow Temple... Here is gathered Hyrule's bloody history of greed and hatred..." will appear. The wall at the end of the hallway is fake. When you approach it, the words "What is hidden in the darkness... Tricks full of ill will... You can't see the way forward..." appear. In the next room, stay along the right wall, and you will find a fake wall at the other end of the room. Go through it, and through the door behind it. You have to fight another Dead Hand. Use the same strategy as before, except this time watch out fir it's six hands. It's best to stay on the outside of the room rather than the middle where it becomes extremely difficult to excape from the hands' grips. When you've defeated it, a big treasure chest with the Hover Boots inside will appear. Once you have them, go back to the very first room. Walk towards the statue and the words "Make my beak face the skull of truth. The alternative is descent into the deep darkness." will appear. Using the Lens of Truth, you will see that the beak has to point 180 degrees away from it's original position. Once you've turned the statue this way, the gate blocking the door will lift. Make sure you have the Hover Boots on, and run across the pit. You will come to a room with a Beamos. In this room, the middle path has to be blown up with a bomb, and the other two have fake walls. Go through the one on the left and into the next room. Collect all the silver rupees while avoiding the spinning blades. They are all on the ground floor, except for one that you need the longshot to get. When you've collected all of them, a gate will be lifted. Get the key behind the gate and go through the middle path. In the hallway behind the door, don't run too fast or you'll be hit by Skulltulas. Further down the hallway, Navi will talk to you.
Navi
: Watch for the
shadows of monsters that hang from the ceiling.
Run passed all the falling blades and turn right. Get all the
silver rupees and go down the hallway. Use the Lens of Truth to find a block hidden in a wall. Pull it out, and push it halfway down the path so that it's preventing both sets of spikes from touching the ground. Now go around the block and pull it as far as you can. Climb on top of it, and get on the ledge on the right. Jump on the switch and a treasure chest will fall. Now get on the left ledge and open the treaure chest to find a key. Go back to where you got the silver rupees and follow a narrow path to a ledge. Use the Lens of Truth to reveal an invisible path and follow it. In the next room, collect all the silver rupees. To get some of them, you need to use the Lens of Truth to reveal hidden targets that the longshot can hook on to. Go through the door. Blow up the skull in the middle of the room by throwing a bomb into it. Destroy all the Keese and the bars blocking the door will be lifted. Go through the door and use the Lens of Truth to see a target above the ledge. Hit it with the longshot and go through the door. Wear the Iron Boots so that you don't get blown back by the fans. When you come to a fan across a pit, put on the Hover Boots when the blade stops spinning, and quickly float across. When you've passed that, put on the Iron Boots again and make your way to the other side of the room. When you get there, put on the Hover Boots and use the Lens of Truth to see a fake wall. Let the fan blow you across to the ledge, and enter the next room. Blow up the trash in the right corner of the room (closest to the door). You will find an invisible treasure chest with a key inside. Use the Lens of Truth to see the treasure chest. Get the key and go to the next room. Get the block into the square thats cut out of the ground. Then climb up the block, up the ladder, and onto the ship. Stand on the Triforce Icon and play Zelda's Lullaby.
(Cinema Scene)
Bells on the side of the ship start ringing. The ship floats across the dead river.
At the end of the ride jump off the ship as quickly as you can.
Navi will warn you just before the ship sinks.
Navi
: Link! The ship is sinking! Abandon ship! Get onto a safe platform!

Go through the door. In this room, use the
Lens of Truth to find your way around the maze. Turn left, left and right to find a door. In this room, use the Lens of Truth to see the Floormasters. Kill them and a treasure chest with a key inside will appear. Get the key and exit the room. Go straight, right, left, and at the second path, right to find the next door. Go through it. Use Din's Fire to burn the spikes coming towards you. Get the Boss Key from the treasure chest and go back to the room where the ship sunk. Look for a bunch of Bomb Flowers on the other side of the pit, and shoot them.
(Cinema Scene)
All the
Bomb Flowers explode and the statue falls, making a bridge to the other side. Cross the newly-made bridge and go through the locked door. Use the Lens of Truth in the next room to see the way through to the other side. Go through the big door. Fall through the hole in the middle of the room.
(Cinema Scene)

Link
lands softly on a giant bongo. Two hands rythmnycally hit the bongo and a body with a glowing red eye and the words "Phantom Shadow Beast Bongo Bongo" appear.
Boss Fight: Bongo Bongo

Throughout the whole fight, use the
Lens of Truth. Z-Target one of Bongo Bongo's hands, and hit it with an arrow. As quickly as possible, hit it's other hand with an arrow. In between the two hands an eye will appear. Hit it, and slash it as many times as you can. Repeat this pattern and Bongo Bongo will be no more.
(Cinema Scene)

Bongo Bongo starts hitting the bongo reallys fast, then slows down. It stops, and turns into the black ooze that came out of the
well.
Walk into the light.

(Cinema Scene)

A crystal forms around
Link and spins. He appears in the Chamber of the Sages. Out of a blue light on the Shadow Medallion Icon, Impa appears.
Impa
:
The boy with the noble Zelda's Ocarina... As I expected, you have come. I am Impa, one of the Sheikah. I am Princess Zelda's caretaker, and I am also the Sage who guards the Shadow Temple. We Sheikah have served the royalty of Hyrule from generation to generation as attendants. However... On that day seven years ago, Ganondorf suddenly attacked... and Hyrule Castle surrendered after a short time. Ganondorf's target was one of the keys to the Sacred Realm... the hidden treasure of the Royal Family... The Ocarina of Time! My duty bound me to take Zelda out of Ganondorf's reach. When I last saw you, as we made our escape from the castle, you were just a lad... Now I see that you have become a fine hero... There's nothing to worry about... The Princess is safe now. Soon you'll meet Princess Zelda face-to-face, and she will explain everything... That is when we, the six Wise Ones, will seal up the Evil King and return peace to Hyrule. I have to stay here... You go to Princess Zelda's side and protect her on my behalf. Now I put my power, which should be helpful to you, into this Medallion!
(Cinema Scene)
She lifts up her arms, and the
Shadow Medallion falls into Link's hands.
Impa
:
Please look out for the Princess!
Now go to
Gerudo Valley To get across the broken bridge, use the longshot. Pass through to Gerudo Fortress. You have to sneak into the fortress without getting caught. You can stun the Gerudos that walk around by hitting them with the longshot or an arrow. If you get caught, you'll need to use the longshot to get out of the jail. The door you want to go through is at the east side of the fortress by the jail on the lowest level.
Thieves' Hideout
Walk down the hallway.
Ichiro: Hey you! Young man over there! Look over here, inside the cell!
Walk towards
Ichiro.
Ichiro:
I have no idea where you came from, but you must have a lot of guts to make it past all the guards around here! All of my fellow carpenters are imprisoned somewhere in here. If you can get us out of here, we'll repay the favor somehow! But be careful! There're sure to be Gerudo guards somewhere around here.... Woo! Watch out!
Behind you, a
Gerudo Thief will appear. Defeat her and you'll get a key. Pick it up. Unlock the door and talk to Ichiro.
Ichiro:
Did you come here to save me? Oh, that's just swell! I am Ichiro the carpenter. We were really interested in joining their all-female group, but they locked us up like this just because we're men! We don't care about the Gerudo anymore! They're so rude! Three of my fellows have also been captured, so please help them escape too!
Ichiro runs away. Keep going through the next doorway. Go through the doorway north of you. Turn right, then right into the doorway with a wooden frame around it. Follow the roof and you'll see a Gerudo. Go through the doorway on the left. When you approach the jail cell, Jiro will talk to you.
Jiro
:
Hey you! Young man, over there! Look over here, inside the cell!
Go to the cell and talk to him.

Jiro:
I have no idea where you came from, but you must have a lot of guts to make it past all the guards around here! All of my fellow carpenters are imprisoned somewhere in here. If you can get us out of here, we'll repay the favor somehow! But be careful! There're sure to be Gerudo guards somewhere around here.... Woo! Watch out!
Defeat the
Gerudo Thief behind you and get the key. Now unlock the door and talk to Jiro.
Jiro
:
You're a cute kid! Thank you for coming to save me! I'm Jiro the carpenter. These women are so scary! I'd rather work as a carpenter than join them! I can't wait to say good-bye to this place! Two of my buddies are still being held prisoner. Will you please get them out, too?
He will run away. Go down the hallway that he went down. When you get onto the roof, don't go through the doorway next to you. Instead, keep going straight into a doorway on a lower level. Once inside, go near the cell.

Sabooro:
Hey you! Young man, over there! Look over here, inside the cell!
Go talk to him.

Sabooro
:
I have no idea where you come from, but you must have a lot of guts to make it past all the guards around here! All of my fellow carpenters are imprisoned somewhere in here. If you can get us out of here, we'll repay the favor somehow! But be careful! There're sure to be Gerudo guards somewhere around here.... Woo! Watch out!
Defeat the
Gerudo Thief behind you, and get the key she drops. Unlock the cell and talk to Sabooro.
Sabooro
:
Thanks boy! You're fantastic! I'm Sabooro the carpenter. Have you seen our boss, boy? He's probably worried about me! I have to get back to him immediately! One more of our workers is still a prisoner. Please save him!
He runs off. This time, go through the doorway that you entered from. Climb up the vines on the wall and go through the doorway on the left. Stun the two
Gerudos and run across the room and outside. Jump down to the east lower roof and go through the doorway. Wait for a few seconds for the Gerudo to walk by and stun her. Turn right, and then go though the doorway with a wooden frame, and towards the jail cell.
Shiro:
Hey you! Young man over there! Look over here, inside the cell!
Go towards the cell and talk to
Shiro.
Shiro
:
I have no idea where you come from, but you must have a lot of guts to make it past all the guards around here. If you can get us out of here, we'll repay the favor somehow! But be careful! There're sure to be Gerudo guards somewhere around here.... Woo! Watch out!
Defeat the
Gerudo Thief behind you. Pick up the key, unlock the jail cell, and talk to Shiro.
Shiro
:
I was afraid you were going to forget about me! Now I'm free! Thanks! I'm Shiro the carpenter. For rescuing me, I'll tell you something interesting about the desert that I overheard the Gerudos talking about. They said, "In order to cross the Haunted Wasteland, you'll need the 'eye of truth.' The Colossus is on the far side of the wasteland..." OK, now I'm going back to my tent near Gerudo Valley, so drop by sometime. You may find something helpful there! Byeee!
He runs off. A Gerudo appears.
Gerudo:
I've seen your fine work. To get past the guards here, you must have good thieving skills. I used to think that all men besides the great Ganondorf, were useless... but now that I've seen you, I don't think so anymore! The exalted Nabooru, our leader, put me in charge of this fortress. Nabooru is second-in-command to the great Ganondorf, King of the Gerudo Thieves. Her headquarters are in the Spirit Temple, which is at the end of the desert. Say, you must want to become one of us, eh? All right, then! You're in front now on! Take this. With it, you will have free access to all areas of the fortress!
You will get the
Membership Card. Now climb the ladder by the gate. Talk to the Gerudo at the top.
Gerudo: Hey, rookie! Are you going into the desert? I'll open this gate for you, but... You can't cross the desert unless you pass the
two trials. The first trial is... the River of Sand! You can't walk across this river! After you cross it, follow the flags we placed there. The second trial is... the Phantom Guide! Those without eyes that can see the truth will only find themselves returning here. You are going anyway, aren't you? I won't stop you... Go ahead!
(Cinema Scene)
She claps her hands and the gate lifts. Go into the
Haunted Wasteland. Cross the river of sand on the right by hitting one of the boxes with the longshot. Follow the flags until you reach a stone structure. Get on top of it, and stand in front of the plaque. Use the Lens of Truth and a Poe will appear.
Poe: I'll be your guide on your way, but coming back, I won't play! I'll show you the only way to go, so follow me and don't be slow!
Follow the Poe and you'll appear at the
Desert Colossus. Walk inside the Spirit Temple and back out. Sheik will appear.
(Cinema Scene)
Sheik's eye view of Link - he jumps down from the arch in front of the Spirit Temple's entrance.
Sheik: Past, present, future... The Mastwer Sword is a ship with which you can sail upstream and downstream through time's river... The port for the ship is the Temple of Time... To restore the Desert Colossus and enter the Spirit Temple, you must travel back through time's flow... Listen to this Requiem of Spirit... This melody will lead a child back to the desert.
You will learn the
Requiem of Spirit.
(Cinema Scene)
Link and Sheik play the Requiem of Spirit together. Kaepora Gaebora is seen flying off the statue that is the Spirit Temple. Link walks toward Sheik, but sand is blown in his face and Sheik disappears. Go to the Temple of Time and time travel. Play the Requiem of Spirit and enter the Spirit Temple.
Spirit Temple (Young Link)
Go up the stairs and talk to Nabooru.
Nabooru:
I haven't seen you around, kid... What do you want
To see the temple You're just a kid! The temple is not place for kids!
Looking for the Sages A Sage? I don't know anyone like that.
Nothing, really
You have nothing to do? What good timing! Can you do me a favor, kid? Wait a second. I want to ask you first--you wouldn't happen to be one of Ganondorf's... followers... would you?
What if I am? Wha-ha-ha! Don't try to act cool, kid. I was just asking! A kid like you could never be one of Ganondorf's followers! Well, let's cut to the chase...
I hate Ganondorf!
Uh-huh! You've got guts. I think I like you. First of all, let me introduce myself. I'm Nabooru of the Gerudo. I'm a lone wolf thief. But don't get me wrong! Though we're both thieves, I'm completely different from Ganondorf. With his followers, he stole from women and children, and he even killed people! A kid like you may not know this, but the Gerudo race consists only of women. Only one man is born every hundred years... Even though our laws say that lone male Gerudo must become King of the Gerudo, I'll never bow to such an evil man! By the way, what is your name, kid? Link?! What kind of name is that? Well... anyway... I want to ask you a favor... Will you go through this tiny hole and get a treasure that's inside? The treasure is the Silver Gauntlets. If you equip them, you can easily push and pull very heavy things! No, no, no, kid! Don't even think about taking this treasure for yourself! The Silver Gauntlets won't fit a little kid like you if you try to equip them! I want you to be a good boy and give them to me! Ganondorf and his minions are using the Spirit Temple as a hideout. Only the Silver Gauntlets will allow me to sneak deep into the temple. Once there, I'm going to steal all the treasure inside and mess up their plans! How about it? Will you do it?
Yes
Thanks, kid! You and I, let's give Ganondorf and his followers a big surprise, shall we? If you can succesfully get the Silver Gauntlets... I'll do something great for you.
No Well, what did I expect? After all, you're just a kid!
After choosing "Yes", Nabooru will walk out of your way. Crawl through the hole. Defeat all the enemies and the bars blocking the door will be lifted. Go through the door on the left. Use the boomerang to hit the crystal switch on the other side of the room, and the fence will fall, making a bridge to the other side of the room. Go through the door. Here, you have to get Anubis to go into a fire. To do this, follow the path exactly, and he will end up exactly opposite you. Hit the crystal switch and a fire will burn him up. Walk through the door, and Navi will talk to you.
Navi
: Watch for the
shadows of monsters that hang from the ceiling.
Get all the
silver rupees and the fence will fall, forming a bridge to the other side of the room. Stand between the two torches and use Din's Fire. A treasure chest with a key inside will appear. Get the key and go through the door. You are now back in the room that you crawled into. Crawl through the hole in the middle and use the key on the locked door. Destroy the Skulltulas on the wall and climb up. Open the treasure chest at the top to find some bombchus. Defeat the two Lizalfos'. Stand in front of the sun icon on the floor and Z-Target the wall with the Skulltulas on it. Send a bombchu up there, and the wall will explode, shining light on the sun icon and opening the door. In the next room, turn left and push the Armos off the ledge. A door will open at the top of the stairs. Go through it, up the stairs, and into the next room. Collect all the silver rupees. Using a Deku Stick and the torch that just lit up, light all the other torches in the room. When you're done this, a treasure chest with a key inside will appear. Grab the key and go to the other side of the room. Pull the block with the sun icon on it into the sunlight. The bars blocking the door will be lifted. Go up the stairs and unlock the door. In che next room, hit the Iron Knuckle sitting on the chair. It will get up and attack. To defeat it, you could either use Din's Fire, some form of explosive, or your sword. Be careful, though. If you get too close, it'll swing its ax at you. If it hits you, it'll do some heavy damage. Once you knock it's helmet off, it'll charge at you. Once you've defeated it, go through the door. Walk outside and you'll see Kaepora Gaebora.
Kaepora Gaebora
:
Hey, what's up, Link? Surprised to see me? A long time in this world is almost nothing to you, is it? How mysterious! Even I thought that the tales of a boy who could travel back and forth through time was merely a legend. Link, you have fully matured as an adult. From now on, the future of all the people in Hyrule is on your shoulders. Maybe it's not my time anymore. Here is my last advice. Two witches inhabit this temple. In order to destroy them, turn their own magic power against them. Hoo hoot! Do you want to hear what I said again?
Yes From now on...
No
I will continue to watch you... Hoo hoo hoo hoot!
After choosing "No", he will fly away. Open the big treasure chest to find the Silver Gauntlets.
(Cinema Scene)
After
Link obtains the Silver Gauntlets, he hears a commotion.
Nabooru:
Hey! Where are you taking me?! Yeearggh! Let me go!!
(Link looks around, and runs to the end of the giant stone hand. He sees two witches holding Nabooru captive.)
Nabooru:
You, you fiends! Ganondorf's minions! Link! Get out of here! Now! These witches! They're using black magic on me!
She disappears into a purple portal. It closes up and the witches fly into the Spirit Temple. Link looks at the ground, and sand blows into the camera.
Now go to the
Temple of Time and time travel. Go back into the Spirit Temple.
Spirit Temple (Adult Link)

Now that you have the
Silver Gauntlets, you can push the heavy block at the top of the stairs, on the right. Once you've done this, you will be in a room with a Beamos and a spinning blade. Hit the crystal switch on the ceiling and the bars blocking the doors will be lifted. Go through the door on the right. Collect all the silver rupees and the bars blocking the door will be lifted. Go through the door and get the key. Go back to the room with three doors and use the key on the middle door. Climb up the wall. There is an invisible Floormaster here that you need the Lens of Truth to see. Position the statue in the middle so that it is facing the sun icon second from the door. In the next room, go up the stairs and use the Hover Boots to get across the gap. Jump on the hand and play Zelda's Lullaby. A treasure chest will appear on the other hand. Use the longshot to reach it. Open it, go to the top of the stairs and unlock the door. Walk up the stairs and into the next room. Defeat the Anubis' by hitting them with Fire Arrows. When you destroy them and the Beamos, the bars blocking the door will be lifted. Go through the door. In this room you have to get an Armos to stay on the switch long enough so that you can make it through the door. Once you've made it through, go up the stairs and into the next room. Defeat the Iron Knuckle and go through the door. Walk outside and open the big treausre chest to find the Mirror Shield. Equip the shield and go back to the room with the four Armos'. Stand in the sunlight and use the Mirror Shield to direct it at the sun icon. When you've done this, go through the door. Get the key, and go back to the room with the Anubis'. Unlock the door and make your way up the wall. Watch out for the Skulltula half way up. When you're at the top, go into the next room. Play Zelda's Lullaby on the Triforce Icon and the bars blocking the door will be lifted. Go through the door. Use the hammer on the door at the far left side of the room. Shoot the eye with an arrow and a block will appear. Use the longshot to get onto the block, then jump on the switch. Open the big treasure chest to get the Boss Key. Exit the room and go through the door. up the stairs. In the next room, hit the crystal switch behind the gate. Go through the door. Blow up the wall at the far end of the room. Position the statue so the light is shining at the other statue. Position the other statue so the light is shining at the huge mirror on the other side of the bars. Go to the previous room and stand in the sunlight being reflected off the mirror. Use your shield to shine the light at the sun icon across the wall.
(Cinema Scene)

The floor is slowly dropped into the room below it.
Now stand in the sunlight and reflect it at the giant statue's face. It will crumble away revealing a door. Use the
longshot to reach it, and use the Boss Key on the next door.
(Cinema Scene)

Link
draws his sword and walks toward three figures in the dark.
Kotake: Ho ho ho! Looks like someone is here, Koume.
Koume
:
Hee hee hee! Looks like it, Kotake!
Kotake
:
What an outrageout fellow he is to intrude so boldly into our Temple... Ho ho ho!
Koume: We should teach this outrageout fellow a lesson! Hee hee hee! Oh, loyal minion... Destroy this intruder on our behalf!
The
Iron Knuckle gets up and snaps its fingers. An ax appears it's hands. It walks toward Link. Defeat the Iron Knuckle.
(Cinema Scene)
The armor falls off, revealing Nabooru underneath. The armor disappears, and she falls to the ground.
Nabooru
:
Unnnh... Where am I...?
(Kotake and Koume appear.)
Kotake
:
Well, well... Looks like she's back to normal... Koume...
Koume:
She's just a little girl, but she commands a lot of respect among the Gerudo, Kotake...
Kotake
:
Maybe we should make her work for the great Ganondorf for a little while longer! Ho ho ho!
Koume:
Then we should brainwash her again! Hee hee hee!
(They each form a ball of energy. Nabooru runs away, but they both hit her. They all disappear.)
Walk through the door, down the hall, and through the next door. Climb onto the middle square.
(Cinema Scene)
Kotake:
Look at that stupid kid! He came on his own to offer himself as a sacrafice to the great Ganondorf...
(
Koume appears out of an orange portal on the ground.)
Koume:
With my flame, I will burn him to the bone.
(
Kotake appears out of a blue portal on the ground.)
Kotake:
With my frost, I will freeze him to his soul!
They circle around Link and the words "Sorceress Sisters Twinrova" appear.
Boss Fight: Twinrova

One of the sisters will shoot their element at you.
Z-Target the other sister, and using your shield, deflect it at her. To make it easier to hit the other sister, try to get the sister shooting on one end of the room, the other sister in front of her, and Link at the other end. Don't let any of the elements hit you, because they can cause serious damage, and if your power is low, will most likely kill you. After you hit the sisters four times, they will merge into one huge witch.
(Cinema Scene)

Koume:
OK, let's get serious now, Kotake!
Kotake:
Oh, OK, Koume. Kotake and Koume's Double Dynamite Attack!
Link
and Twinrova look at each other. Link is shocked. Twinrova winks at Link.
This time, absorb fire with your
shield three times, or ice with your shield three times, and always Z-Target Twinrova. If you've started absorbing ice, do not absorb fire, or vice versa, or the fight will take longer. The third time you absorb the same element, your shield will fire it back. Once you've hit Twinrova with her own spell, run at her, and slash her as many times as you can. Keep it up, and victory is yours.
(Cinema Scene)

Twinrova splits into an orange flame and a blue flame.
Kotake and Koume appear with halos above their heads, and a blue light around them. They start fighting and get lifted up by the blue light.
Koume
:
Shoot, what a fresh kid! This time, we'll get serious, right Kotake?
Kotake:
What? Hey, Koume, what is that above your head?
Koume:
I don't know, but you have one over your head too, Kotake!
Kotake:
But I'm only 400 years old!
Koume:
And I'm just 380 years old!
Kotake:
We're twins! Don't try to lie about your age!
Koume:
You must have gone senile!
Kotake:
Who are you calling senile?! Is that how you treat your older sister?
Koume:
We're twins! How can you be older?
Kotake:
Keeeyaaah!! How heartless you are!
Koume:
How can you be so ungrateful?
Kotake:
You're heartless!!
Koume:
You're ungrateful...
Kotake:
I'll come back to haunt you!
Walk into the blue light.
(Cinema Scene)
A crystal forms around Link and spins. He appears in the Chamber of the Sages. Out of a blue light on the Spirit Medallion Icon, Nabooru appears.
Nabooru:
Kid, let me thank you. Heheheh... look at what the little kid has become in the past seven years--a competent swordsman! By the way... I really messed up... I was brainwashed by those old witches and used by Ganondorf to do his evil will... But isn't it funny? That a person like me could turn out to be the Sage of Spirit? And now, I'm going to fight them as one of the six Sages! Heh heh... I'm going to pay them back for what they did to me! Kid... No... Link, the Hero of Time! Instead of keeping the promise I made back them, I give you this Medallion! Take it!
She lifts her arms, and the
Spirit Medallion falls into Link's hands.
Nabooru:
If only I know you would become such a handsome man... I should have kept the promise I made back then...
(Scene cuts to
Rauru talking to you.)
Rauru:
Link, the hero! Finally, all us us, the six Sages, have been awakened! The time for the final showdown with the King of Evil has come! Before that, though, you should meet with the one who is waiting for you... The one who is waiting for you at the Temple of Time....
Go to the
Temple of Time.
(Cinema Scene)

Link
runs to the Triforce Icon in the Temple of Time.
Sheik: I have been waiting for you, Link.
(
Link turns around to see Sheik)
Sheik:
Link, the Hero of Time... You have overcome many hardships and awakened six Sages. And now you have a final challenge, a showdown with Ganondorf, the King of Evil.... Before that... I have things I want to tell only to you. Please listen. Another unknown legend of the Triforce passed down by the shadow folk, the Sheikahs....
(Cinema Scene)
The
Triforce is spinning withing a blue light
Sheik:
If you would seek the sacred triangle, listen well... The resting place of the sacred triangle, the Sacred Realm, is a mirror that reflects what is in the hears... the heart of one who enters it... If an evil heart, the Realm will become full of evil; if purt, the Realm will become a paradise. The Triforce... the sacred triangle... it is a balance that weighs the three forces: Power, Wisdom and Courage. If the heart of the one who holds the sacred triangle has all three forces in balance, that one will gain the True Force to govern all. But if that one's heart is not in balance, the Triforce will separate into three parts: Power, Wisdom and Courage. Only one part will remain for the one who touched the Triforce... the part that represents the force that one most believes in. If that one seeks the True Force, that one must acquire the two lost parts. These two parts will be held within others chosen by destiny, who will bear the Triforce mark on the backs of their hands.
(Cuts back to the
Temple of Time. Link walks toward Sheik.)
Sheik: Seven years ago, Ganondorf, the King of Thieves, used the door you opened in the Temple of Time and entered the Sacred Realm. But when he laid his hands on the Triforce, the legend came true. The Triforce separated into three parts. Only the Triforce of Power remained in Ganondorf's hand. The strength of the Triforce of Power enabled him to become a mighty, evil king, but his dark ambitions were not satisfied. To gain complete mastery of the world, Ganondorf started looking for those chosen by destiny to hold the other Triforce parts. The one who holds the Triforce of Courage is... You, Link! And the other, who holds the Triforce of Wisdom... is the seventh Sage, who is destined to be the leader of them all...
(
Sheik shows the back of his hand, revealing the mark of the Triforce of Wisdom. Link is blinded, and looks up to see Zelda.)
Zelda: It is I, Princess of Hyrule, Zelda. I apologize for meeting you in disguise, but it was necessary to hide from the King of Evil. Please forgive me...
(She moves closer to
Link)
Zelda: On that day, seven years ago, Ganondorf attacked Hyrule Castle.
(Scene cuts back seven years to when
Link sees Zelda escaping from the castle)
Zelda: I saw you as I was escaping from the castle with my attendant, Impa. I thought I should entrust the Ocarina to you... I thought that would be our last chance...
(Scene cuts back to the
Temple of Time)
Zelda: As long as you had the Ocarina in your possession, I thought Ganondorf could never enter the Sacred Realm, but... something I could never expect happened... After you opened the door of time, the Master Sword sealed you away in the Sacred Realm... Your spirit remained in the Sacred Realm... and then the Triforce fell into Ganondorf's hands. He went on to invade the Sacred Realm... Ganondorf had become the Evil King, and the Sacred Realm became a world full of evil. All of this is an unfortunace coincidence. I passed myself off as a Sheikah and hoped that you would return. I waited for seven years... And... now you are back. The dark age ruled by Ganondorf the Evil King will end! The six Sages will open the sealed door and send Ganondorf back into the Sacred Realm. I will then seal the door to the Sacred Realm from this world. Thus, Ganondorf the Evil King will vanish from Hyrule. Link... In order to do this, I need your courage again. Please protect me while I do my part. And here is a weapon that can penetrate the Evil King's defenses... The power given to the chosen ones... The sacred Arrow of Light!!!
(
Zelda is surrounded by a yellow light. She lifts her arms and a yellow ball of energy appears between them. It floats over to Link, and appears in his hands as the Light Arrow. The Temple of Time begins to shake.)
Zelda: That rumbling... It can't be!?
(She is surrounded by a pink crystal, and can't get out)
Ganondorf: Princess Zelda... you foolish traitor! I commend you for avoiding my pursuit for seven long yeas. But you let your guard down... I knew you would appear if I let this kid wanter around! My only mistake was to slightly underestimate the power of this kid...
(The crystal rises)
Ganondorf: No... it was not the kid's power I misjudged, it was the power of the Triforce of Courage! But with the Triforce of Wisdom that Zelda has... When I obtain these two Triforces... Then, I will become the true ruler of the world!! If you want to rescue Zelda, come to my castle!

YOU... CURSE YOU... ZELDA! CURSE YOU... SAGES!! CURSE YOU... Link! Someday... When this seal is broken.... That is when I will exterminate your descendants!! As long as the Triforce of Power is in my hand....
Link
and Zelda appear among clouds.
Zelda:
Thank you, Link... Thanks to you, Ganondorf has been sealed inside the Evil Realm! Thus, peace will once again reign in this world... for a long time. All the tragedy that has befallen Hyrule was my doing... I was so young... I could not comprehend the consequences of trying to control the Sacred Realm. I dragged you into it, too. Now it is time for me to make up for my mistakes... You must lay the Master Sword to rest and close the Door of Time... However, by doing this, the read between times will be closed...
(She holds out her hands.)
Zelda: Link, give the Ocarina to me... As a Sage, I can return you to your original time with it.
(
Link looks at the Ocarina and puts it in Zelda's hand.)
Zelda:
When peace returns to Hyrule... It will be time for us to say good-bye... Now go home, Link. Regain lost time! Home... where you are supposed to be... the way you are supposed to be...
She plays
Zelda's Lullaby. A blue light surrounds Link. He is lifted up.

Thank you... Link... Good-bye...
