Dragons

Def. of dragon: a giant lizard-like fire-breathing creature that lays eggs.

Types of dragons:  Norwegian Ridgeback; Egyptian Scars, and Midevil FireBreathers.

Found in: caves, guarding important vaults in Gringotts, the wizard bank, and Hagrid's hutch (well, once).

Norweigian Ridgeback
(baby)

Norwegian Ridgebacks are a rare species of dragons.  They are usually dark colored and develope ridges on their backs.  Pictured above, my kids, is a baby ridgeback much like the one Hagrid hatched in his cottage.  "Norbert", Hagrid's baby ridgeback fed on buckets of chicken blood.  Ridgeback's are quite hasty, Ron was once bitten by one, and they grow extremely fast.

How to hatch a Norweigian Ridgeback:
Boil the egg in a bucket of water-this will keep it warm, because a mother dragon can't sit on it's eggs to keep them warm (because they'd break) they breath fire on them instead.  So you need to keep the egg at very high temperatures for so long.

Egyptian Scars

Egyptian Scars, are common dragons in Egypt.  They consist of a snake like body, covered in feathers, with a pair of strong giant wings.  They eat mostly deer and forest animals, and stay away from wizards and witches.  They are beautiful to spot and come in various colors.  Their eggs are rainbow colored, and are found in nests as large as a room in giant Redwood Trees.

Midevil Firebreathers

Midievil Firebreathers were the common dragons at the time of Knights.  These are the kind of dragons Knights boasted to have fought.  Not much is known about them.  At least we know they laid one large, oval black egg, and guarded it fiercely.
