J.K.Rowling,
Author of Harry Potter
As a single mother, newly divorced, with no job, living in an unheated flat with her infant daughter, J.K. wrote down her ideas of Harry Potter books on napkins in a small cafe in England.  Little did she know that she would become an author of some of the most popular books for children, and adults.
J.K. had the urge to be a writer since her early childhood.   She wrote her first story when she was 6 years old.  For 5 years she worked on her first Harry Potter novel,
Harry Potter and the Philosipher's Stone (American tital: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone), and plotted the 7 novels out.  There will be one for each year Harry is at Hogwarts.
J.K never intentionaly was going to be a children's book author, until of coarse the thoughts of Harry Potter sprung into her head, and she decided it was would be a beyond wonderful idea to work on.
Her daughter, Jessie, now 6, lives in Edinburg with a better present time perspection.  By the way, the "J" in J.K. stands for Joann, and the "K" stands for Kathleen.  J.K.'s birthday is coming up on July 31st!
