The New Defence Against the Dark Arts Teacher

In book 3 Prof. Lupin resigned himself.  I asked you to think about who you'd think would make a good Defence Against the Dark Arts Teacher replace.  I couldn't believe how many of you participated! It was hard, but I chose 3 winners.

CONTEST WINNER 1

Prof. Angelo Primms is a fairy.  She is about 6ft. 3" and wears very light colored robes, she never wears black or any other dark color.  Her favorite one is a bright baby blue and a light pink robe.  She has blonde hair and pretty light blue eyes.  And, adores Harry (not in the annoying sort of way like Gilideroy Lockhart.)  She thinks Harry is a very bright student (like Hermione).  She also tries to help Neville about understanding in her class.  She brings in different types of animals (like Prof. Lupin).  She is fromt eh Nevermore Fae Forest in London.  (Muggles call it "The Lost Forest" and are very frightened of it although they have no idea that fairies live there.)  And, she has very much experience with the dark arts because, in the Nevermore Fae Forest there are also horrible dark creatures and teh fairies need to defend themselves.

CONTEST WINNER 2

I think the new Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher should be named Djinn (pronounced Jenn) Fricklewink.  She should have auburn hair with red, firery streaks.  Her eyes, an emerald green.  Djinn is very mysterious indeed; no one knows exactly where she came from.  Some suggest she is a distant relative of Dumbledore's...a cousin perhaps.  And Draco Malfory denies the tiny bit of a crush that Ron, Hermione, and Harry can plainly see.  The moment she comes into view, Malfoy becomes less like himself and shall we dare say, a little clumsy and shy.  Djinn does not act very mystterious at all; she is quite nice and cheerful.  And everyone melts for her, all except Hermione-who expects something fishy about her happy smile and home-made Chocolate Frog Truffle Pudding.  She even thinks that her black cat Minnagaffin is utterly evil.  And things start turning up missing or rearranged in odd places soon after her cat grows a white patch of fur on her chest in the shape of a crecent moon.  Hermione is determined to get to the bottom of it before the beloved new teacher gets away with all of it...or so she thinks.                                -Jess R., 14

CONTEST WINNER 3

I think that the new teacher should be a girl with neck-length silver hair.  She should wear all white  and be hippy like because she is sure her soul purpose is to bring peave to everyone (especially Draco). She is from Hope Springs, CA in the U.S. and was hand-chosen by Prof. Dumbledore.  SHe likes all her students-especially Neville-and teaches in a hands-on method every lesson.  Unlike her brother Gilderoy Lockhart she knows how to control her specimens and students.  her name is Joy Lockhart and she wanted to teach this class so she could help children ("those cute little dolls!" as she calls them) to defend themselvesagainst evil, bringing more peace into the world.                                               - Crystle Juniper
