She had Hatched from an egg that had been thought to hold a Bronze. Flapping her rapidly drying wings, she found her rider, Crystalline, rather quickly. As she grew, Green Asurith enjoyed being with Crystalline, and even tolerated Crystalline's Gold firelizard, Saren. Weyrling training came easy to the pair, and they graduated with flying colours. A Turn passed without much event, and Asurith reached her full size. The peace, however, was to be broken one night in the form of an earthquake. Asurith awoke when she felt the stone couch beneath her tremble. Calling to Crystalline, she  arose, her eyes whirling. Crystalline came in, and was just about to get on Asurith when a large chunk of rock hit her on the head. She crumpled, and Asurith  bellowed with alarm. Crystalline was alive, but only just. Asurith heard her rider speak, her voice pain-filled. "Stay with Saren, 'Rith. Stay alive!" And with that, Crystalline died, and Asurith nearly went Between with the shock. Crystalline's last words rang in her mind. "Stay alive!" ~I'll stay, Mine, I'll stay.~ Asurith said, a keen escaping her throat. Many died that horrible night, and Asurith mourned the loss of Crystalline deeply. The only things that kept Asurith from going Between was her promise to Crystalline, and Saren. The Gold firelizard provided the comfort that Asurith needed, though the Green still felt incomplete. She realized gradually that she needed someone that she could actually talk to, and Saren was no conversationalist. Her father, Bronze Tydith, spoke to her one day. He told her of a place called Ryslen Weyr, where it was commonplace for dragons to Impress their own kind. ~Many have even found their Weyrmates there.~ he told her. ~Perhaps, if you go, you will find yours.~ Asurith thought about it for a while, and then decided she would go. ~Anything to leave the memories...~  she said. And with that, she went Between to Ryslen Weyr, with the hope of a new life ahead of her, Saren right by her side.
