1999
Another year come, and another one gone.
Yet inside there's just one thing wrong.
Your smiling face, lies a thousand miles from mine.
My tears spill upon the photograph of time.
Those brown eyes that can see all.
And the hands that held mine, as we watched basketball.
The lips that brushed mine leaving countless memories.
You're my one true love I wish you could see.
The hair that I ran my fingers through,
And the smile that never let me be blue.
The arms that held me so close.
I love you like no one knows.
This year I'm going to start off right,
With the new, yet old love of my life.
I will turn the year of 1999,
Into the best year of all time.

This poem was written as the new year was rung in and I was talking to my friend on the phone. It was written as we spoke.
