Fading
We went our seperate ways,
Although you'll always influence me.
I've spent my life missing you.
When I was young,
I don't remember much.
My teen years are vivid though.
I saw you on weekends,
That was pretty much it.
You were a part time dad to me.
You did what it took
To make us live a comfortable life.
Now I've grown up
And even matured a little.
The distance between us grows more.
Someday we'll regret teh arguments,
If we don't already.
You'll alwasy be my dad.
Sometimes I just wish
You could think, then act.
These are the things we'll remember,
Instead of the happy times as it should be.
Love still flows from you to me.
I just wish that my love,
You could still see.
