Watching The Night Go By
Pale sunsets fade into the blackened sky
Swirls of orange and purple
Twist and melt into red and deep blue.
Pasty clouds gently flow
Across it's now dark blanket of sky.
Stars refelect into the somber pond
As the moon glides into view.
Days can be forgotten
While staring into the heart of the sky.
Laying upon the dew covered grass
Emerald eyes gaze blankly at the sky.
Watching the night go by.
