The Last Scream
Echoing off the trees,
A loud scream of please.
A ride cut short that night.
He will never again hold her tight.
He arrived upon the scene,
As his face turned a bleak shade of green.
He got there just as she was dying.
He hold her close, they both were crying.
Her body became limp in his arms,
He loved her so, and all her charms.
The parimedics came and took her off,
Her skin still felt so soft.
Busted glass, and her body in a bag.
He turned around and started to gag.
Her friend sat on the sideline,
And appeared to be fine.
He asked her to tell the story,
Even though he knew the end was gory.
She said the car was going too fast,
Her friend thought she could make a pass.
Oncoming headlights flooded the car,
She'll never forget the night they went too far.
Now his baby lies with the angels of heaven.
At home he sits and writes with his black pen.
The color of his heart,
Now that he and his girlfriend were far apart.
He covered his ears to shut out the sound,
But he can't help it, it's all around.
Upon his desk he begins to lean,
Tears spill from his face as all he hears, is her last scream.
