Two Hearts
One heart beating in its silent solitude on a gusty November eve,
Gave itself away to another heart already captured.
Neither meant any harm to their own, yet they did cause hurt.
The two hearts locked their feelings inside so no one would know.
Yet feelings can only be supressed for a matter of time,
Before emotions come spilling out in rage.
The two hearts are very lucky indeed.
They almost lost eachother at the very beginning.
But neither heart lost faith in the other, in hope that someday,
The one heart would tell the other, it still harbored feelings for the first heart.
One magical day the heart asked about the other's feelings and they both confessed.
Both had always loved eachother, even when times were tough.
One heart ended relation with it's own and hoped the other would soon follow suit.
It took some time, but when it was able to the other heart told it's own.
Both other hearts didn't take it well, but have learned to live with the truth.
Now these two hearts are far from each other but are living with the memory
Of the days they spend, hand in hand, and the dances that they shared.
Two hearts beat seperately, but in mind and spirit they are together.
They get by, by knowing that their situation is not forever, and that
One day they shall lie in each other's arms once again.
The one heart carries around memories of the other and vice versa.
They do anything they can to help them get through the day.
Pictures, necklaces, stuffed animals, the one heart will never forget the other.
Each night, each heart cries out for the other and if you listen closely,
You can hear their lonesome cry echoing all over the land.
Their tears fall more, the long they are apart.
But everday they become one day closer to being together again.
Sometime, someday soon the two hearts shall entwine once again.
The two hearts shall beat as one, when the reunion brings them together.
Then the two hearts that thought they had lost everything they ever had,
Will have the greatest euphoria and love towards eachother,
And nothing shall ever stand in their way again.
