My Youth
My youth was a wasted hole.
Here lies a teenager
Who spent the best years of her life,
Behind a computer trying,
To prove herself to people
That were never really real.
She let one man have full control
And left her friends and family behind.
It took a wake-up call for her to see
The life that she's been missing out on.
Even though heartache hurts,
Her friends and family will always
Stand strong at her side.
She will turn her last high school year's
Into the real memorable ones.
She'll get a job and go to college,
And write for her career.
She'll be everything she's wanted to be
But didn't have the chance.
Now lies open the door of oppertunity.
