Notes on Children's Games
Swimming Bare Ass: Since this is the last set of poems in the collection, Williams makes references to other poems/paintings in the collection.  This is a reference to The Fall of Icarus.
Whirling their skirts: a reference to The Open Air Dance.
Blindfold: Reference to the Parable of the Blind.
Recorded: This poem is thought to be a retrograde account-- back through the previous paintings, through the stages of life (as all of the children are enacting adult activities,) and through time.  This last section is grim, demonstrating  that Bruegel sees the cruelty in the children's games, and in life.
