Boy Becomes A Man
Backstreet Boys member Kevin Richardson, 28, and fiancée Kristin Willits, 29, quietly tied the
knot Saturday at the Cathedral Domaine in Richardson's hometown of Lexington, Ky., his
spokeswoman announced Wednesday. The other band members attended the wedding. The couple met in 1993 at Walt Disney World, when he was working as a Ninja Turtle and she was dancing in Beauty
and the Beast. The group will be back in the studio in July to record an album due this fall.

-- Pollyanna will be opening up for her brother Howie on a solo tour in benifit of the Caroline Cochran Foundation. The concerts will be in English/Spanish, they will be touring in Latin America & other places.

-- Backstreet Boy and current Tampa resident Nick Carter is auctioning off his autographed sectional couch to benefit the Tampa Children's Hospital.
The couch is split into three sections, and each individual autographed piece is up for bid. The auction is taking place in conjunction with the Brandon Ford dealership(brandonford.com) and Tampa television station WFTS ABC 28 (wfts.com).
-- Aaron's single ('Bounce') release has been moved to July 25, 2000.  Look for his
album in early Sept.  Canadian's can expect his album as early as August 22, 2000

The article in the NE was somewhat true. As is usually the case, the tone of the article
was much more hysterical than what was actually happening at the time. Nick decided to
spend Christmas in Florida with Mandy and the family was disappointed. No one is sure where the rest of it came from.

(OK, they say this in this question, but later on when they are describing Christmas, they
say that they got a call from Nick on Christmas Day because he was out of town on business....)

2)Is it true that Nick ans Mandy Willaford are seeing each other?

Nick and Mandy have been seeing each other for a couple of years. They had one breakup last Fall and reunited about a month later.

3)So where is Nick living? Florida or California?

Florida! Nick is shopping for a new home back in Ruskin.

Obviously the Carters/Spauldings are going to want to paint everything in as positive a light as they can, now that the dust has settled, and they all realize they had diarrhea of the mouth there for a while. I was in the chat room when Uncle Steve Spaulding was asked if the National Enquirer article was true, and his answer was "emotional, but unfortunately true". He also mentioned that he was there visiting Jane and her family when the call came from the Enquirer, so he must have heard her responses.

-- Backstreet Boys swept the World Music Awards on Wednesday (May 10) in Monaco. The Boys walked away with four awards, including Best Selling Pop Group, Best Selling R&B Group, Best Selling Dance Group, and Best American Group. Only AJ & Howie were at the event

-- Backstreet Boys and Christina Aguilera each took home two trophies at the Blockbuster Entertainment Awards, held Tuesday (May 9) in Los Angeles. Backstreet Boys snagged favorite pop group and favorite CD honors for "Millennium" (Jive), while Aguilera won favorite new female artist and favorite single for "Genie In A Bottle."
The show will be broadcast June 20 on Fox

Well here's the latest news Uncle Steve have reported:
-Despite what Nick said when he was DJ'ing on 93.3 FLZ, the site is legit
(Nick has also later admitted that it is, but HE has nothing to do with it anymore, and this was aperantly said with Mandy present)
-Also Uncle Steve said that when they got back together Nick asked the family to post
something 'nice' about her but they said no. That's why he's against the site when in the beginning it was Nick's idea but any money the site makes still goes to Nick.
-Nick gets 25% of everything Willa makes (I guess that means he is managing her career)
-Willa's album was rejected by MCA, but she is still signed to the company. Mandy also was there in the chat room anonymously -I don't know if she spoke or not, but he said she was there, and to be nice -that she is "our friend"

-- Howie Dorough of the Backstreet Boys is set to star in a new movie called Bloom. The movie, which begins shooting in May, is reportedly a coming-of-age story about a young Jewish man.
Dorough plays a bully. Dorough has acted before, including an uncredited role in 1989's Parenthood and a cameo in Jack of All Trades (allstar, December 23, 1999). This will be his first leading role outside the Backstreet Boys' appearances as themselves on TV and in home videos. (Jim Keller)

Today on my local news station in Orlando(Channel 9) they showed Kevin coming out of a law office in down town Orlando(in his black 4-runner). He was there to give his deposition in the civil suit. They said that he was the 2nd BSB to come to the law office to give their deposition. They are there because Donna Wright has a 20 million dollar lawsuit against them. They talked with her and this is what she had to say: "I was their manager for 5 yrs., I did alot of hard work to make this happen, this success that they are having today, and I feel that I should be paid and compensated for the work that I have done, nothing more".
Then they went on to say that BSB says that the Wrights claims are not true and in fact she owes them a  million dollars. And Nick is exempt from the lawsuit because he was a minor when they sign the contracts. Kevin didn't talk to the news reporter, he just drove right past him, you could hardly see his face.

Someone on here (LiveDaily.com) said that Willa/Mandah backed out at the last minutes becaue she was afraid to sing or something, which is not true.  Because the guy who sang the national anthem was slated to do so for a while before the show.  He is a friend of Nicks, who is managed by Nick.(What they said at the game.).
And his name was in the program, which was printed a week before the game, so the rumor about Willa backing out is a lie.

Ok, I have a copy of the program, and Willa's name is in it to do the national anthem. I think the printing people made a mistake b/c the guy who sang is in a group that is managed by Nick so they were already slated to do the anthem anyway

--From all of the accounts I've read of people who were at the game Nick and Mandy had absolutely no interaction whatsoever. They even arrived and departed in separate cars.
He had his friends sitting on the sidelines near the teammates, and Mandy sat with Leighanne for the last quarter of the show under one of the hoops (up until then, she was not out in the
crowd at all). At one point Nick had to walk past her, and neither of them even looked at the other

--Britney Spears was also at the game and got her picture taken with Nick and Brian... I have heard that Willa didn't look to happy about that one.

-- BJ & Aunt Deb chatted on the Official Carter site (www.Nick-Carter.com) on March 28, 2000, I wasn't there, but here's what other ppl said about it:
She said that she hadn't talked to or seen  Nick since October (even on the phone). It was her first time chatting and the room was buzzing - She said she'll be on TV soon and that she's getting ready to move out on her own with a few girlfriends. She's very sweet and funny - well grounded. She did a great job considering she was bombarded with questions!

She didn't want to talk about Mandy, and yet she kept answering a little bit more each time it was brought up. At the end, just before she left (and I think a family member made her leave because she answered that one question about why Nick didn't come home for Christmas like this: "I'll give you one word: Mandah.") the room monitor, called "Carterteam" sent  her a private message, to which she sent her reply to the whole chat room, "I just wish Nick felt that way about me." And then suddenly she was gone. They are probably afraid to say anything about Mandy for fear that Nick will never forgive them, but he won't even talk to them now.

--Nick & Mandy will (according to rumurs) be in the June or July issue of Teen People to clearify things around their relationship

(Launch) - Members of the Backstreet Boys will embark on several solo projects after the group's current sold-out Into the Millennium North American tour wraps up. A.J. McLean is preparing to head out on a 10-city solo tour under the pseudonym Johnny No-Name. The singer has several solo dates lined up, starting with a March 27 performance at the Wiltern Theater in Los Angeles. Singer Mindi Abair and girl-group Nobody's Angel will open for McLean. Abair opened for McLean (as Johnny Suede) at a benefit concert for VH1 Save The Music Jan. 9 at the Hard Rock in Orlando, Fla. McLean has reportedly since changed his name from "Suede" to "No-Name" due to copyright problems. Meanwhile, Backstreet Boy Howie Dorough has just signed on to write the music for and guest star in a sitcom television pilot titled "Love They Neighbor" in Orlando, reports the Orlando Sentinel. The pilot - which features "The Jeffersons" star Sherman Hemsley - will be produced and filmed April 16-27 at Century III at Universal Studios Florida.

The Backstreet Boys, former Jane's Addiction frontman Perry Farrell and President Clinton were among those showing support for comic book icon Stan Lee's new Internet venture during a party at Raleigh Studios in Los Angeles, recently. Farrell took to the stage alongside soul singer Chaka Khan to perform at the event, which was held to commemorate both the launch of Lee's
new youth-oriented website as well as the premiere Webisode of Lee's new Internet comic, The 7th Portal. The Backstreet Boys paid tribute to Lee via a pre-taped message, as the band is currently in the midst of a North American tour that isn't scheduled to end until March 20 in Toronto, Canada. For the event, President Clinton wrote a letter to Lee recognising his pop
