I remember the moment

of our very first sight

of each others faces

in the warm sunlight.

I couldn't believe

my dream had come true,

I had a daughter,

and that, Angel, was you.

I heard your first cry,

your very first word,

when you said 'I love you Mama'

and 'ook Mama, bird!'

I watched your first steps,

you had no fear,

now you run around madly

you shout and you cheer!

You have grown little Freya,

Into a dear little girl,

with your beautiful smile

and your blond little curls.

Each moment is filled

with joy and delight

from the first rays of dawn

to the end of the night.

Every single memory,

I place deep in my mind,

rare and precious gifts

from this daughter of mine.

To my beloved Freya on the occasion of your

2nd birthday, 19th July 2002.
