Back to Recipes Index CHOCOLATE CREAM PIE FILLING

2½ squares Hershey's unsweetened chocolate
2½ C. milk
1 C. sugar
6 T. flour (rounded)
2 eggs, beaten slightly
2 T. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
½ tsp. salt

Add chocolate to milk and heat in double boiler.  When chocolate is melted, heat with mixer until blended.

COMBINE:  sugar, flour, and salt; add gradually to chocolate mixture and cook until thickened, stirring constantly.  Continue cooking another 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.  Add eggs gradually, stirring vigorously.  Cook 2 minutes longer.  Add butter and vanilla.  Cool.  Turn into pie shell and chill.

Note: Makes an excellent pudding!
