Just the other day, as I went outside to pray Your son called and told us an Angel took you away So often you looked sad, and were filled with much sorrow Now we're told that your funeral will be tomorrow Just because your number one son didn't come to you Your other son told us we weren't very true So tomorrow Sweet Mother our faces you won't see I just pray to God you'll watch over Cowboy and me |

You and Dad were married fifty-one years Then an Angel took him up, and we shed many tears You often said I want to see Charlie at home He came in a dream telling Cowboy you weren't going alone We loved you dearly, Mother, but our sons will be at your side You were the Grandma that they called on and would abide Now I pray to God that you rest in Peace with Dad For you were the only one I called Mother and ever had |

You often said I pray I live long enough to see one marry Thank God we were invited to see our daughter carry A beautiful bouquet as she walked down the aisle Mother, I shall never forget your look and big smile You held your great-granddaughter saying you were filled with joys You also wanted to see the marriage of one of our boys Now Mother, you can look down from Heaven above We shall miss you Mother, and you'll feel our love |
