Pumpkin play dough
5 ½ cups of flour
2 cups of salt
8 teaspoons cram of tarter
¾ cup oil
1 container (1 1/12 oz) of pumpkin spice
Orange food coloring (2 parts yellow and 1 part red)
Mix all together. Cook and stir over medium heat until lumps disappear. Knead
on a floured surface until smooth. Store in an airtight container.
Easy Playdough
1 cup of flour
½ half cup salt
6 to 7 tbsp. water
1 tbsp. Vegetable oil
Drops of food coloring
Or
Use powered tempera paint for vivid colors
Mix all ingredients together well. Store in an airtight container in refrigerator.
Peanut butter Playdough (edible)
Mix equal parts of peanut butter and powdered milk to make a tasty treat
for the children. Adjust the amounts to make it softer or harder if wanted.
Brown Playdough
In a bowl mix together 3 cups whole-wheat flour and ½ cup vegetable
oil. Add small amounts of water until you get a desired texture, and consistency.
Cloud dough
3 cups flour
1 cup oil
Scent (oil of peppermint, wintergreen, etc)
Food coloring
Combine ingredients. Add water until it is easy to manipulate. Usually it
takes almost a ½ cup. This of course matters what kind of flour used.
Crunchy Clay dough
1 shredded wheat biscuit
2 tbsp. glue
Food coloring
Crumble shredded wheat in bowl. Add glue and several drops of food coloring.
Mix until shredded wheat is completely mixed and coated.
This does not keep.. Use right away. Projects dry in 12 hours!
Cream cheese playdough ( edible)
8 oz. package cream cheese
1/ cup non fat dry milk
1 tbsp. honey
Combine together well. Mold sculptures on wax paper decorate using dried
fruit or nuts and you can EAT this with crackers!
Kool aid playdough
2 packages of Kool aid
2 ½ cups of flour
½ cup salt
3 tbsp. Vegetable oil
½ tsp. Alum
Oatmeal Dough
2 cups oatmeal
1 cup flour
½ cup water
Combine ingredients and knead well. A nice texture and sculptures can be
painted when dried,
Mix all dry ingredients and add 2 cups boiling water and mix and knead well.
Mud dough
2 cups mud
2 cups sand
½ cup salt
Combine ingredients add enough water to make pliable.
Use a pie crust as a tasty substitute for playdough.
