Sitting in the library, my face shielded from the crowd walking past by the wooden partition in front of me, I lose my focus. The partition is supposed to keep one from being distracted, since the wooden board is the only thing you are supposed to see when you look up from your work, thus hindering you from people-watching. But it didn't work very well for me of course.

My eyes wandered around, but there were fewer colourful creatures to look out for since it was lunch time. Like the guy with the mohawk which he is trying to outgrow, the girl with the shocking light pink hair who struts around amongst others. I often stare at them and ponder how they gain admission to the university while the decent ones are somehow being relegated elsewhere. Maybe they are just weird but smart.

Not much "business" today though I did see this guy who tied his hair up into a tiny pony tail, which doesnt seem to help keeping his hair out of his face. Fashion statement? Maybe he's too stressed. Or maybe, he's just looking for something to spice up his blue day.

There have been better days when I had a great harvest. And you would be wrong if you thought these people give up on being weird when exams are round the corner- just yesterday, I met this girl who gave me the shock of my life- just as I was turning round the corner, I almost bumped into this girl who had bright green streaks at the end tip of her hair, making her look like a, erm,  monster- but only because of the green streaks.

I spy my little eye in every nook and cranny of the library. Nope- no hunks, celebrities today- just loads of undergrads occupying every single table they can find, furiously writing and mugging away, many hitting their calculators with such great might that you can hear the buttons squeak all the time.

I am just bored of the endless amounts that I have to go through just for the 4 papers that I have to sit for come 26th May. But its either I study or I slowly get tempted by the mortal devil who is tempting me with the soft and comfy bed and inducing me to sleep. Take the latter and I'll fail.

Mugging really sucks.
