Where I'm From

I am from the light brown house of Oak Manor Drive
I am from the baseball field of Pac Bell Park with garlic fries dancing on my breath
I am from the sweet smell of Hershey Kisses transporting itself to my nose
I am from the bright lights of the San Anselmo Playhouse's stage
I am from the loving arms of my friends and family
I am from the smiles and cries of BowBow and Tinkerbell
I am from the "Unbelieves" to "Good Night Nurses"

I am from the "Be Happies" to the "Don't Worries"
I am from the rich chocolate brownies, fresh strawberry smoothies and hot mashed potatoes that burn my tongue like fire
I am from the scent of cookies baking happily in the oven
I am from the fell of love on my skin like a coat on a cold day
I am from "Mouth of Metal" and "Four Eyes"
I am from the sweat rolling down my face like rain after a long soccer game

I am from the wagging tail of my dog that looks like a motorcycle's motor
I am from video games on extensive summer days
I am from tapes that put me to sleep like a baby
I am from the wall of fame that fills my grandma's house like pictures in  a box
I am from bear hugs to big kisses
I am from a rowdy imagination
I am from the glistening water of Lake Berryessa

I am from hair ties and hair clips that hold back my golden-brown hair
I am from baseballs to telephone calls
I am from the bright lights of the city to the shining stars at night
I am from Bojo's ice cream parlor with cups of cookies dough that freeze my brain
I am from ripped pants to stretched out blouses
I am from lipstick that tastes like fruit and eye shadow that twinkles in the sun's light

I am from I am from the burning flames of fire that crackle in the fire place
I am from the world of books that spike up my energy like a thermometer on a lukewarm day
I am from the green lizards that crawl up my belly
I am from "No one said life was fair"
I am from the swinging hammock with the sun beating on my face as I slowly move back and forth with a song jumping through my mind
I am from my fuzzy Pooh Bear that sits on my bed waiting for a hug
I am from Grandmother Willow that gives my shade when I need it the most
I am from the stacks of video tapes that posses my childhood memories
