| What I See |
| I Look into the mirror and try to see what others see My face decorated with angel kisses brought out and darkened by hours of sun My hazel green eyes sometimes change to blue My nose squishy often compared to a button My lips full hiding white teeth Perfected by braces years before My golden brown hair excentuated by blonde I sweep it back just to have it fall into place My dimple carved into my left cheek hidden until my smile escapes But there is more to me more behind the hair and the dimple Each freckle represents a mistake I've made My tan skin hides my fears My sometimes blue eyes are lit with intent My nose my distraction When I'm at lost for words My red lips disguse my seduction The two front teeth a cover for the cavities behind My less then perfect hair covers my falling tears My dimple shares a smile That isn't real Author:~ELM~Sister Lou~ Copyright (c) 2005 All Rights Reserved |
