| A great percentage of my time online used to be spent lurking in Tiki 1 (yahoo) usual topic of conversation...sex....sex and..wait...more sex!! and Bubba...im not gonna say it..but... **** you!!! As usual, people move on and things change...and as a result I don't spend my time in Tiki 1!!! However, many a fun time was had in there.... the story of the UK Tiki Meet & Greet follows.. April saw the arrival of Scubeeeeeeeeee in Liverpool....far removed from her native Oz....we thought we would do the friendly thing and arrange for the UK based chatters to get together with her for a lil fun!! Pictures at the end of the text on next page!! The 'get together'....... A few weeks later sees the arrival of Betts flying in from the channel islands, via Belfast where she seemed to have aquired an extra suitcase filled with...ROCKY!! lol Basco and Cicie flew in from the Netherlands... (ok..so it wasn't just UK ppl) and Kyle was released from Scouse land (they dont trust him to leave for longer than 2 days) to attend. Add to that the perfect couple consisting of Hunky Artist and Bella (just the bestest ppl ever) and all that remains is for my sisters and I to turn up and we are all set! Sick notes received and accepted from Nightingale and Lexman....and holiday leave granted to Cuffy! |
| After many 'where are you/are you here yet' phone calls everyone arrives safely and gets checked into the hotel...thankfully I'm not in a room anywhere near Rocky and Betty who are gonna be making up for missed time by testing the bedsprings/floor/bath/up-against-the-door!! After Basco produces an industrial size bottle of massage oil..hmm...I still dont believe that was a months supply.....we decide to eat earlier rather than later (..aww ... hungry lil Artist!!) and scatter to get ready. Agreeing for everyone to meet back in my room seemed a good idea until they turn up whilst im still getting ready!! Its a short walk to the Hard Rock Cafe...where we learn we could have booked afterall - but only online...errmm hello..bearing in mind we all initially met up online thats not a hard task! anyways...30 mins later we are sat down to eat. Some huge meals, Scubees experience with a chilli (...my oh my..the look on her face was priceless.) and the biggest bowls (outdoor planter sized) of icecream later and we are away...off for a quiet drink. oooops..did I say quiet??? damn..its Manchester, saturday night...quiet wasn't an option...que Rocky and Betts slipping away back to the hotel to embark on their whole night of bedroom olympics!! Deciding to retire to the hotel bar..and the chance of conversation, we head back to the hotel....oh yeah...did I mention the rain?? roflmao...the heavans had opened...and by the time we arrived back at the hotel we were all doing a fair impression of drowned rats!! Rather than creating a swimming pool in the hotel bar ppl dried off..changed into their comfies and then headed to the bar...once that closed (and it got too cold...damn..why do they need air conditioning in WINTER in MANCHESTER??!!!) everyone relocated to one of the hotel rooms. Now..i could tell stories of 4 in a bed...oh yeah..that happened...but nahh..gonna have to leave that bit to your imagination!!! |
| Not wanting to miss out on available time on the Sunday...morning wake up calls were given between 8 and 9 am...roflmao..and yeah..that IS early for a Sunday but hey..gives them all time to do the morning sex thing before having to get outta bed!!! On the hunt of breakfast....Maccie D's in the Arndale is closed...however the day is saved when another is spied not too far away... Once fed Tikians are kinda nice ppl and are no greater risk to the general population than anyone else!!!...however...coffee at Maccie D's is not that great which prompts a trip across the road into Starbucks for coffee, tea and cakes! btw..make sure you really ARE thirsty...liquiq is served in bucket sized mugs!! how Basco didn't end up peeing for England I will never know. In true tiki style...the troupe head over to the internet cafe - expertly spotted by Bella - and head home into Tiki 1. Its kinda strange talkin on VC and hearing the person responding both over the mic and from only 2 ft away from you!! |
