Warren Campsite

Warren Campsite on the Bibbulmun Track is about 340 kilometers south from Perth. Its also about 10 kilometers south of Pemberton on the Warren River. The northern access road from Pemberton was closed so I had to make an approach from the south. I took the Northcliffe Road from Pemberton then went onto dirt road, Crowea Road.  From there I went on Rowney Road then to Andy Road. The CALM map is wrong here as it shows Andy Road being a part of McAlpine Road, but Andy road was a terrible little track, full of frightened kangaroos and ruts. I went from  Andy road to McAlpine Road then down River Road to the car park area of the Bibbulmun Track near the Warren Campsite.

When I got to the intersection of McAlpine Road and River Road I found out that I was not allowed to go onto McAlpine Road! Bad luck, I was already there, there were no signs along the way! I went to the same car park a day later and took River Road from Wheatley Coast Road, a much better alternative and also an allowable route. River Road is a one lane dirt track road, but its nice and smooth.
