Jason Graae
This past year, Jason Graae was seen as Dennis on HBO's "Six Feet Under",was featured in "On Stage at The Kennedy Center - Marvin Hamlisch's Holiday Concert for the Troops"(with The National Symphony) on PBS, played Frosch in Washington Opera's"Die Fledermaus" , also taped for PBS, played Njegus in Houston Grand Opera's "The Merry Widow", was featured in Jerry Herman's "Mack and Mabel " at Lincoln Center, as well as touring with Jerry Herman and Co. in "Hello Jerry!", with Liz Callaway in concert, and in his one man show.
Jason has starred on Broadway in "A Grand Night For Singing", "Falsettos", "Stardust" , "Snoopy!" and "Do Black Patent Leather Shoes Really Reflect Up?" Off- Broadway shows include "Hello Muddah, Hello Fadduh", for which he recieved a Drama Desk Nomination as Best Actor in a Musical, "Forever Plaid", "Olympus on My Mind", "All in the Timing" and many more.
Jason made his Metropolitan Opera House debut as vocal soloist in Twyla Tharp's "Everlast" with American Ballet Theatre, and performed his 1 man show in N.Y's Rainbow and Stars.
In Los Angeles, Jason hung upside down for a year as Houdini in the U.S. premiere of "Ragtime", won an Ovation Award for "Forbidden Broadway Y2KLA!",was featured as Marcellus in "The Music Man" at The Hollywood Bowl; and for Reprise he played twins with David Hyde Pierce in "The Boys From Syracuse", and recently was nominated for another Ovation Award as Moonface in the acclaimed revival of "Anything Goes!" He won a Santa Barbara Indie Award for his portrayal of Harrison Floy in "High Button Shoes" with the Rubicon Theatre .Jason made his Opera debut as Njegus in "The Merry Widow" with Los Angeles Opera.
Also on Television, he was featured as Chad on Showtime's "Rude Awakening" with Lynn Redgrave,and has guest starred on many shows including "Friends", "Frasier", "Sabrina the Teenage Witch", "Providence", "Hidden Hills", "Maybe it's Me", "Caroline in the City", "Living Single", etc. He was featured in 2 TV Movies, Disney's "Geppetto" and "The Dukes of Hazzard go to Hollywood".Also, he has been featured twice with the Boston Pops on "Evening at Pops" for PBS.
For 5 years Jason was the voice of Lucky the Leprechaun fo Lucky Charms Cereal, a balanced part of your complete Breakfast. He lost the role when he moved to L.A, but he is not bitter.
Movies include the upcoming Disney animated feature "Home on the Range", and the yet to be released "On Edge".
Jason has recorded over 35 original cast albums and studio CDs, including his 2 solo CDs, "You're Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile- Jason Graae sings Charles Strouse" and "Jason Graae LIVE at The Cinegrill" (Fynsworth Alley).
