Epoch Indoor Racer
The Epoch seems to be one of the less popular Micro R/C vehicles, probably due to their limited availability. Unlike a similarily sized Corvette sold at Radioshack, the Epoch is fully digitally proportional and compatible with standard hobby class radios. Compared to step proportional systems as in the xmod or the dg master, the steering and throttle are very smooth. The car itself is about 4 inches long, perfect for indoor tracks or floors (hence the name).

One major flaw in the car is the lack of modability and hopups. Epoch, or Apex (the American distributor) sells only stock replacement parts, and it is impossible to get a faster motor or different gearings. Tires and shocks can be modified for different racing conditions. The controlller which comes stock isnt the best, but luckily the car can be used with other controllers.

Pros: fast, fully proportional, adjustible ride height, suspension system, size allows for portability

Cons: cheap controller, usually high priced, lack of hopups

Overall: 9.5/10

Epochs usually go for around $70 for a spec-2 (newer version)
but check Hobby People (
www.hobbypeople.net) for their sales - it can get much cheaper
