Micro IR Combat Tanks
Konami Combat Digi-q
The original, probably the best. Only sold in Japan, so you gotta buy it online or go over there. On a better note, this tank is about the size of a Bit Char-g (2-3 in long) and uses real functioning rubber treads. Instead of radio control, the tank is controlled by IR, much like your tv remote, and is also digitally proportional. And this version has a rotating turrent, too. Oh ya, and they come with miniscule details you can glue on. What is most interesting about these tanks is they can use IR beams to shoot each other, too. The Konami has 3 combat modes, one with unlimited ammo and reload time, one with limited ammo and 4 sec reload, and one with different abilities for each different tank. Each tank can only take a couple of hits before going down....

Pro's: Digitally prop, radio control turret, multiple game modes, high detail, nice controller
Con's: $70 in japan, much cheaper than hobby stores here (0_0)
Overall: a bit overpriced, but really small and complex and high quality, but only fun with more than one tank!! 9/10.
Toyeast VsTanks
For those of you who don't want to spend so much money on a little tank, there's always a clone. The vsTanks aren't as high quality as the konami, but are essentially the same in size and detail. (Though there are no glue-on parts; the one in the pic I made custom parts and painted the barrel.) However, for the $20 at HobbyPeople stores, $11 at Toyeast's website, you don't get any radio controlled turret or digital proportionality, and it has only one game mode: unlimited ammo, 4 lives.Crazy fun still, and these are quite a bit faster than the Konamis.

Pro's: Much cheaper, faster, better recoil animation (it does a little wheelie!)
Con's cheap feeling controller, wierd button setup, lower quality (some don't work right)

Overall: This is for those ppl who don't want to buy a konami. Still lots of fun. 8/10.
