"Dive" 2000

Dive
© 2000

Description: A plane's tail and a bird.
Materials: Painted fiberglass, painted recycled metal sheet.
Size: 120 x 70 x 70 cm

"I made this work after the airplane crash that took the lives of John F. Kennedy, Jr. and his wive. I thought of a plane that dives into the earth's surface, head first, and how much it could cost, in any term at all! We made planes after the nature's flyers -- the birds. We know we cannot do better than what we already have got. Nature's flyers are still much better than any human-made contraptions, no matter how sophisticated the technology is. A bird could dive and fly up again -- some planes, operated by humans, cannot."

"Sitting On Exploitation" c. 2000

Description: A work that consists of 2 (two) pieces:
1). A chair with a tail, 2). A bag.
Materials: Wood, fake fur.
Size: Chair: 62 x 50 x 77,5 cm ; Bag: 26 x 45 x 10 cm

"The pun is obvious. We "sit" on animals by oppressing them. That is why I made a chair."

"Forced Cutie" c. 2000

Description: A dachsund dog on a tricycle.
Materials: Painted fiberglass, stainless steel.
Size: 70 x 35 x 60 cm

"Humans are often cruel to house pets, unawarely. They praise the pets for being cute, regardless of the fact that the very cuteness is artificially induced, they force the animals to present themselves as "cuties" against their own will. This is an abuse, to me."
