| "Colors Of Worship" You're planting a painted garden within me Seed By spoken seed. A Monet of this life in Christ Ripe reds and sweet, soft yellow Smeared across this calm, green page. An ocean of this feeling Moves and crashes Within this Autumn heart. And calm, damp river winds Against my eyes Happy season sighs And cool, September breezes Dance throughout my hair. These sheer, white moons Cast shafts of silver light across my cheek And usher me Into a dreamer's sleep. And singing, Gathered voices, Songs of heavy, Happy Praise Behind these white sun stars, it plays. These fall lights fill with lemon hues And decorate The liquid pink horizon. And oh, Here comes That sweet, transparent blue And snowy angel's footprints 'cross the sky, Or joyous humming of the rain With liquid diamonds in my tangled hair And raven lashes. I smile at this blessing: Morning Faith colors every dreary thing with happiness And holds me in golden rise And violet set Warm And rich with Christ. By Jenni Orton |
