| I saw a blue in the sky today Like the skirts of the angels of Heaven Were sweeping over the horizon, And a wind on my cheek Like a breath of a whisper from God Saying, "I love you, Please don't abandon me." And even though I can smell the rain And hear the thunder It's kind of a happy sound 'Cause thunder always means a rainbow's coming Just wait and watch the skies. Science is just a metaphore There's poetry in the atmosphere 'Cause the sun will always rise in the morning But then, the sun was always there. By Jenni Orton |
