Welcome to Lisa Mullin's homepage. Lisa is trained in computer science,and enjoys getting
to work in database performance and design and all areas of computer programming, but she
is best recognized for teaching, organization, communication, and problem solving skills.
For the past few years Lisa has been working on the NShIS
project as the Training Coordination Lead as a Gasha employee.
In this role, she and her staff has been
responsible for the planning, scheduling, tracking and evaluation of all training for the NShIS project for the
District Health Authorities from Pictou to Yarmouth, Nova Scotia.
Lisa has been very involved in the hiring and management of staff, including Training Coordination Assistants
in each District, and Trainers that delivery of the NShIS Basics program; a 2-hour session for all staff who will
have further training in the NShIS system (over 3500 health care professionals). User access coordination of all user
accounts in all disciplines in the NShIS system being implemented also became part of Lisa's mandate, including
coordination of the Go Live activation activities.
Prior to NShIS, Lisa worked as an Assistant Professor at
St. Francis Xavier University in
the Department of
Information Systems for 6 years.
Lisa is also a graduate student at the
University of New Brunswick in the
Faculty of Computer Science with specialization in
database perfromance modeling, and name placement on maps.
Lisa has also researched the gender balance in the Information
Systems program at St. Francis Xavier University. Most recently She and
Donna MacDonald submitted a paper to
IRMA 2002 in Seattle, Washington.
