POEMS for ALEXIS |
|
|
|
These pages include poems and stories that friends and relatives have written or given to us. I do not know where they have all come from, however I find them all touching. If by chance someone has given me a poem you wrote and you do not wish to have it published here, please contact me and I will remove it. |

YOU REALLY SEEMED TO GRASP IT
On the day you were born I placed my pinkie in your tiny little hand You really seemed to grasp it Your tiny little fingers wrapped around my pinkie
Everyday I placed my pinkie in your tiny little hand To show you that I would always be there You really seemed to grasp it Your tiny little fingers wrapped around my pinkie
I continued to place my pinkie in your tiny little hand With hopes you would take it on your own You really seemed to grasp it Your tiny little fingers wrapped around my pinkie
The day came when you wrapped your tiny little hand Around my pinkie and you took my heart You really grasped it Your tiny little fingers wrapped around my pinkie
You held my pinkie in your tiny little hand When we would dance You really grasped it Your tiny little fingers wrapped around my pinkie
As you grew you took both pinkies in your tiny little hands Much more frequently You really grasped it Your tiny little fingers wrapped around my pinkie
With my pinkie in your tiny little hand You began to walk and toddle You really grasped it Your tiny little finger wrapped around my pinkie
Holding my pinkie in your tiny little hand We would walk aimlessly around the yard You really grasped it Your tiny little fingers wrapped around my pinkie
Once again I placed my pinkie in your tiny little hand On the day you went to heaven You really seemed to grasp it You tiny little finger wrapped around my pinkie

Because You Never Said Good-bye
You just walked away and we don' know why now we just want to cry because you left us without saying good-bye You left us suddenly it was out of the blue we all know that we miss you and your precious smile too and all the tears that we all hear the pain is what we fear Your memory is still with us although you are not it seems like you have been gone so long but your memory lives on Our hearts will still feel the pain After twenty years or so even though it hasn't been one our healing, when it does begin, little one now that you're in heaven above we know that we all have your love and through the years that will go by we will always cry Because You Never Said Good-bye
