Services for Charles 'Mac' Leydet,
67, of Logansport, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Marocco
Funeral Chapel.
He died at 8:05 p.m. Sunday, July
8, 2007 in Logansport Memorial Hospital.
Born July 15, 1939 at home in Logansport,
he was the son of Charles Leon and Janet Mae (McNaught) Leydet.
A graduate of Logansport High School, Mac was a certified screw
machine operator.
He also served in the United States
Air Force.
He was a member of the American
Legion Post 60, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3790 and the Eagles.
Known as Mac to his friends and
family, he enjoyed bowling, football, poker, reading and NASCAR.
He especially enjoyed cooking for
family get-togethers.
Mac loved his dogs, family and friends.
Surviving are his special friend
and companion, Nancy Gordon, Logansport; daughters, Janet Eileen
Beck and her husband, Brian, Logansport, and Mary Babb and her
husband, Mark, Twelve Mile; one son, Charles Edwin Leydet, Winamac;
a step-son, Daniel Hellyer, Logansport; grandchildren, Erica Fearnow
and her husband, Brad, Brian Heath Beck, Charles Michael Leydet,
Ronald Leydet and Jordan Beck; two great- grandchildren, Samantha
Fearnow and Joshua Fearnow; two brothers, Richard L. Leydet, Logansport,
and Frederick E. Leydet and his wife, Donetta, Vincennes; and
one sister, Janet Banta, Logansport.
His parents, one brother-in-law,
Richard Banta, and one granddaughter, Marisa Beck, preceded in
death.
Pastor Tom Robbins will officiate
at the services. Burial, with full military rites by the
Cass County Veterans Association, will be in Ever Rest Memorial
Park.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m.
Wednesday and one hour before services Thursday in the funeral
