The following information is thought to be accurate (8-1-01).

Jim had been waiting eight months for Mayos in Jacksonville, Florida, to call him for a liver transplant.  Throughout Jim's life, he had various blood transfusions because of his hemophilia, and through one of those transfusions, he contracted Hepatitis C.  Eventually he developed cancer in the liver and needed a transplant.  He underwent surgery on Monday, July 20, 2001, and was doing well until Friday when things took a drastic turn for the worse.  There were several problems and he died in the hospital in Jacksonville on Saturday morning, July 28.

More information will be available as it is received.  Bob Hardin...
