Sandra
Kathleen Sabatini, age 67, Memphis, Tennessee, formerly of Logansport,
passed away at 7:20 a.m. Tuesday, January 1, 2008, at Methodist
Hospital North in Memphis.
Born January 18, 1940, in Logansport,
she was the daughter of Wilfred J. Fred and Doris
E. McDonald Rynearson. She was married to Joseph Sabatini, who
preceded in death on April 30, 1998.
Sandra K. (Sandy) Sabatini was a
loving mother who dedicated much of her life to the happiness,
health, and well-being of her children. She provided comfort in
times of difficulty and sickness. Sandy grew up in Logansport
enjoying Friday night ball games and swimming in the summer at
France Park.
She graduated from Logansport High
School in 1958. Spending much of her life with her husband, Joe,
she was fun-loving and enjoyed the good times with family and
friends. She spent many recent years helping to care for her husband
and parents in their time of need.
Sandy was a devoted animal lover,
adopting and providing homes for cats her entire life. She enjoyed
being in the company of dogs, cats, and all animals and frequently
visited the zoo.
She spent time working with children
at Berclair Elementary School and Little Bears day care in Memphis,
Tennessee and later Sandy enjoyed talking with Logansport residents
while working in the customer service department at the Pharos-Tribune.
Sandy spent the past months at home
overlooking a peaceful lake with trees, reflecting and feeding
the ducks.
Sandy, you will be greatly missed by all those whose lives you
touched. Love you, Mother!
Surviving are a daughter, Katherine Elizabeth Liz
Lees, and her husband, Robert, San Diego, California; Sons, Frederick
Joseph Sabatini, and his wife, Michelle, Tulsa, Oklahoma; and
Eric John Rick Sabatini, Memphis, Tennessee; Brother,
John Rynearson, and his wife, Patricia, Scottsdale, Arizona; Grandchildren,
Joseph, Jessica, Andrew, Alanna, and Christian.
A Graveside Service will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, January
12, 2008, at Mt. Hope Cemetery, with Reverend Gary Lewis officiating.
Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Logansport.
Friends may call from 2:30 p.m.
to 3:15 p.m. Saturday, January 12, 2008, at Kroeger Funeral Home.
