To design a Logo is not a simple process, but the final result of a unique design is usually simple solutions that express your company's personality and vision. It must catch the eye of your potential customers and express who you are. |

 Organize your ideas by first identifying your customers. What is important to them and what will influence them to buy your product or service? With this information at the forefront, begin brainstorming: - Identify what you stand for, who you are, and what you have to offer. - Make a list of words or phrases that best reflect the image that you want to project. Do you want to appear professional, friendly, contemporary, classic, credible, reliable, sophisticated, experienced, high tech...? - Learn all you can about your competition. Look at their marketing materials. What do you offer that is unique or different? Determine how you are going to set yourself apart and stand out from the crowd. Then you are ready to start creating visual symbols or images. At least write down which images come to mind when you review the words or phrases that you have created. Now the really hard work begins. Simplify, simplify, simplify until you have at least 3 original ideas. Sketch by hand or use a computer drawing program such as CorelDraw. Incorporate various fonts until you sense which ones best reflect what you are trying to say and how they interact with your designs. You will want to observe how each design looks when applied to a business card, letterhead or other marketing materials. Some designs that look great standing alone may not work as well when actually placed for use. |
