I know the report I did was long and may be difficult for some of you, so I'm providing a summarised English version.

Here is the rundown of events...

Time: Sat 13th Oct 2001
Location: Canto Pub, Marina South, Singapore

12 midnight
- Canto Pub plays an MTV from Healing Hands 1 (the song that Lawrence Ng and Ada sings at the end of HH1)
- After the MTV ends, Ada comes on stage singing Tarcy Su's "Lemon Tree" (in Mandarin) and waving at everyone. She's in all black except for a graphic on her shirt.
- After that, she sings "qi shi wo hen jian dan" (in Cantonese) (其實我很簡單) and shakes hands with as many people as she can.
- Chat session.
Ada jokes: Singaporeans are very "re qing" (warm) even your hands are sweaty.
Ada: First time in Singapore or first time in Canto pub. (I'm not sure.)
Question: I heard you were freezing in a pond during a shoot for "Lok Sun."
Ada: That wasn't the worst. The worst was that the pond was dirty with turtle shit. (laughs)
- Audience participation session. Teenager goes on stage and she drags him around as she sings "mo qi" (默 契) in Cantonese. They take polariod picture together. (Lucky guy)
- costume change to red, high collar coat. She sings Faye Wong's "Love Letter to Myself" (給自己的情書) in Cantonese
- says thank you and goodbye
- ENCORE
- costume change to black off-shoulder dress(?)
- Ask audience to help her sing Ah-Mei's "qi shi wo shen mo dou bu xiang yao" (其實我什麼都不想要) because it's in Mandarin and very high and she's worried she'll go out of tune. Audience and her sing.
- Ada: Thank you for coming, you guys sing well, I hope to see you all again and goodbye
12:45am - the end

Comments: She looked very beautiful in person. Very tall but not as skinny as I thought she would be. She sang better than I thought she would especially the last two songs. She spoke a mix of Cantonese and Mandarin. Her Mandarin is Cantonese accented but still pretty good. She seems natural and friendly in person. The pub was pretty crowded and the crowd was excited, happy and responsive. And I'm very, very happy I went. :-)

enjoy
ps. I hope my Chinese writing is correct.

NB: Later JOJO told me the correct title for Ah-Mei's song is 原來你什麼都不要
