BeK: Will you take that hat off, we like your hair!
Sp: Yeah where is your hair?
Aus: ..It's cute.
E: Oh, no thanks!
Aus: That's cheezy, I wouldn't ask that.
Sp: You look a little--
E:  a little chilly.
Sp : Can we put the top down?
E: The top's whats keeping me warm. They say if you have a little extra space up here (BeK: that's the air) that's --
Sp: But it makes a point, it looks funny.
BeK: No, you know what you look like in that serious hat. That gnome. You know that gnome from Amelie --  (Eric: I love Amelie)
Sp: He's not the gnome!  Back in Los Angeles we were going to take a gnome everywhere . We were gonna bring a gnome around.
E: I love Amelie!
BeK: We're movie people you can tell. We, I love movies.
E: What have you seen that you've liked recently?
(BeK, Eric and Sprout talk about films BeK&Sp saw at Toronto Film Festival)
BeK:.. Milwaukee, Minnesota...  He caught the asperger's (Asperger's Syndrome) perfectly my only concern was people in the movie kept referring to it as retarded and one thing you know it that asperger's children tend to be at least average to above average... It was never corrected, and they never mentioned this person has aspergers, but all the reviews or things that I read said that he had aspergers and my concern was it left people with an impression that they never...
E: Cleared it up
Sp: If you hadn't read on it you would assume, that that's what the...
E: Did you take them to task on it?
Sp: She did, and I was  (motioned like hiding in seat)
BeK: At the question period but ..the kind of people they were trying to represent.
Sp: That might have been an individual case though.
E:  They could have put a disclaimer at the end of the film
Sp: Yeah
BeK: And they never mentioned he had asperger's...
E: So how was the film?
BeK: It was excellent I loved it.
Sp: I thought it was really good.  It was like a mystery, wasn't it. They were trying to rob ...
BeK : I just found it had a bit of whimsy, (Sp: It was kind of a comedy as well) he's an icefisherman  ok. And asperger's kids are very hypersensive to sound-- You know, you remember Mash.  Radar  (Eric : Yes, yes).... Recognized my the AMA since 1994. It's been around but nobody actually..
Eric:  knew what it was
BeK:No.  It didn't have official status as a seperate, so the thing is a lot of movies now you will see where there are people with those characteristics, people didn't know that's what it was. When I  say Radar from Mash ...you know how he was very methodical....  Very hypersensitive to sound and he can hear things that normal people don't hear.
E: Wow.
BeK: So this guy he could find fish. He goes on these big fishing trips and when he does this he  senses where the fish are all the time.  So then they have this whole, that's done in animated, all the fish swimming underneath something where they are...
Sp: ..He's got all kinds of money but you wouldn't expect it, keeps it in weird spots.  But he wants to go to , is it Minnesota, for the big fishing tournament...
BeK: ..But his mother won't let him go and..
Sp: His mother's a bit of a Karen
BeK: His mother, is overbearing and of course that kind of upset me because ...
Sp: Oh you're not overbearing BeKrispy.
BeK: I have been accused of being --
Aus: Everyone gets accused of that.  Mothers are overbearing.
Sp: BeK won't share a bed, she's not overbearing
Aus: We've been sharing a bed.
Sp: We sleep together officially now.
Aus: She won't share
E: Really.
Aussie G_Dfan: Cozy
Sp: Cozy. We had a buffer pillow though, in case one of us got too adventurous in the night...
Aus: We occasionally call it Eric.
LAUGHTER
Aus: ...Nice and snuggly... But he is good at Mr. Darcy. Whereas you I've seen in so many movies without knowing it was you, even Chicago Hope.
Sp: And that was the funny thing, after Once and Again we watch all these things, we're like we've seen this before but we didn't know.
E: Ah, Once and again.
Sp: Once and Again.

Eric:  How about Evan Rachel Wood huh?
BeK: She's great too. Finally got to see Thirteen.
Aus: How old is she now?
E: 15, 16 but ... She is the best.  She is just adorable. I love that kid. Love that kid.
BeK: How about Julia Whelan?
E: Never seen her since after the..
BeK: What happened to her?
Sp:  She's going to school ...
E: We knew she was going to college or something
BeK: Is she going to pursue her acting career do you think?
E: I don't know I didn't stay in touch with her, but I run into Evan all the time and I just did a short film with Susanna Thompson, who played Evan's mom.
Sp: Yeah, Hello, which is on here somewhere (re: notebook)
E. Yeah so we all sort of, a lot of us stay in touch.
BeK: So who else do you stay in touch with from the show?
Sp: It seemed like a really nice cast.
E: It really was.
Aus: How long were you involved with it?
E: About 6 months
Aus: I didn't realize it takes so long
Sp: Yeah, that would have been right.
E:  Um, Marshall and Ed. I see Marshall and Ed (BeK: Yeah they're wonderful) and a lot of the other  producers and directors, the casting director.
Sp: Are you still doing that thing with Paul Dooley?
E: Um, Yeah , Sort of. I mean. Paul's working on it and you know.  Winnie, yeah I talk to Winnie all the time.  Have you guys seen Wicked?
Sp: Um. no.
Aus: The lady we had dinner with last night ...
Sp: I know what it's about,  I've seen some of the songs...
BeK: But -What is it? Is it a movie
E: It's a musical , on Broadway.
Sp: Yeah, it's about the Wizard of Oz but it's based on a book called Wicked --
E:  Yeah it's about the Wizard of Oz, after- no before --
Sp: They just got the cd out now. Cause when we were in Tower Records I said  "G_Dfan, there's the cd".
E: Yeah
BeK: You know we don't usually travel to go and see a play.
E: Most people don't.
Aus: Not from Australia.
E: Not from Australia. Oh my God. That is amazing.
Aus: Nobody knows. I kind of left out a few details.
Eric: Well it's a fun adventure though.
Aus: It was, it's been great.
Sp: That's half the thing. I mean, aside from you, it's fun to go to a city you've never seen before.  We love plays anyways but--
Aussie G_Dfan: I love Boston.
Eric: It's pretty great isn't it.
Sp: It's smaller than, like everything is so compact.
Aus: Glad we went to LA first- cause if I went here first then there I wouldn't -  whereas I enjoyed it at the time. It's an experience.
Sp: I like LA
E: There's a great Gaugain exhibit here.
Aus: Oh that would have been good
E:  I don't know if it's still on or not
BeK: Did Shiloh go to that? ...
