This week we will be covering catachresis, chiasmus, colloquialism, crossed rhyme, consonance, and couplet.
Catachresis
Another storm and the tree would bridge the problem.
Chiasmus
Better to wake up to a gloomy morning, than to wake up in the morning gloomy.
Colloquialism
Aorta tied up dat canoe better.
Crossed Rhyme
The useful way was carefully barred;
The cloudy day was a sudden loss.
Consonance
Predators lurked, working the dark to hunt the weak.
Couplet
Down the weary and tired road,
Not a man or animal strode.
