historical: A very similar song called "And the green grass grew all around" was on a little record called "Wee sing silly songs" that I had as a child. I used to play it on my Smurfs little record player. That thing is probably worth big money, now. Anyway, I used to play the song and dance to it and make my grandparents watch and clap the beat. There's some history for you.
