Please read my "I am not Pro-IRA" disclaimer! Thanks!

Ray has left the band. :( He has been replaced, not that anyone could ever replace him, but he has been replaced with a fellow named Colm, who I have seen in concert several times and who kicks ass thoroughly, completely, and on time. So welcome, Colm.

If you enjoyed this, why not e-mail me? As long as you're not trying to sell me something, I'll most likely write back. Hablo espanol, y xero ligo elenika, kai skoshi nihongo wo hanesemasu. I don't speak Irish, but I know someone who does.

Lee is a nice girl and an Irish music fan who lives in Chicago, and if you go to her homepage you can see pictures of when she was at the Milwalkee Irish Fest 2000. There are a couple Prodigals pics there.

unrelated, but funny, quote from Pokemon (of all places): "I was born with a silver spoon in my mouth, but they had to remove it to make room for my foot." --James

Prodigals Lyrics and Info
More than you wanted to or needed to know

Hi, I'm Loretta. This is my little Prodigals page, which is just part of the grand scheme that is my chaotic webpage. Anyhoo, um, hi! I'm glad you're here! If you're stuck in someone else's frames, click here to break out. Lessee... The Prodigals are a local band that I've been going to see for... omigod, way too many years. I just figured it out and it's kind of amazing. (click on "Irish stuff", left, for more info.)

Anyway, they really, really, really kick butt, and also they are very sweet and adorable. They have a few albums out, and I highly recommend in particular their latest two, Go On and Dreaming in Hell's Kitchen. By the way, did you know the name Hell’s Kitchen comes from some Dutch word meaning “rocky place” or something. It sounded a bit like “hell’s kitchen” and it got Anglicanized that way.

In any case, the albums are great, so buy the durn things, won’tcha? If you go to a show they'll probably sign it. Especially if you bring a shiny sharpie marker, and ask real nice.

Click on the name of any song and you can see the lyrics, which might just be wrong. I can play a bunch of these on Daphne, my guitar, so there are a few chords here, which similarly, might be wrong. I've also gathered some other info on a lot of the songs, like the historical background on them etc., which I'm pretty sure is right.

Okay so I’m rearranging things here, because I think it’ll make it easier to deal with. They’re sorted by album. Can you believe that? This is turning into a … fan site. The heck is up with that? Well, what’s done is done, and anything worth having done is worth having done right. Okay, anyway….
