Other People Do Indeed Read This Stuff

Who the heck would have thought it? But people do read it.

Aside from my four friends (Reneau, Andy, Jenn, and Seb) who read the page because they know me to some degree, I have it on good authority that a friend of Andy's, who's name began with an E but I forget it now, reads it. Eve? Something like that. Hi, honey, anyway.

Mel, who I mentioned in my musing entitled "A Random Person on the Couch," said that my Prodigals lyrics page was invaluable to her during a research assignment. It did my heart good to hear that something I did was actually useful. I can't even tell you.

Brian, my dear friend from the Prodigals, came to my page and sent me an e-mail to say that he liked it. Isn't that sweet?

And aside from this -- there are the occasional search engine queeries. I am listed in Google, and through Geocities I can sometimes tell what search brought people here. Someone typed in "bikini out from under her" and that brought them to my tale of Hydra, One Day in Greece. And someone typed in "gymnastics funny falls" and that brought them to my rant about gymnastics. Someone typed in "what freaks me out" and that brought them to my page freaks me out every time. Someone typed in "the prodigals +irish" and that got them to my musing on being a member of the irish scene. One hopes this person also found my lyrics page. Someone else typed in "wallace and gromit-toys" and that sent them to my discussion of movies, and I feel bad about this. But maybe they enjoyed it anyway. And the search "buy popcorn kernals" sent them to my discussion of working at a movie theatre. And and and!!! A bunch of people found my lyrics to Athenrye, which are randomly hidden somewhere on my site, I don't remember where right now, by typing Athenrye in Google. AND! Someone in ENGLAND used www.ask.co.uk to find it! I'm so excited! I'm doing a little dance of joy! I know you don't believe me. But I am, I'm dancing in my seat to the song "I am a man of constant sorrow" as sung by the Saggy Bottom Boys. ~_^

Here's one more tidbit I found out from checking my stats. You people are sick, sick, sick!! You know how I sort my musings into subjects? Well, apparently the only subject ya'll are interested in is my lovelife-or-lack-thereof. It's the most popular referrer for all my musings about my lovelife, rather than the musings main page as it usually is. Tee hee.

So. I don't know if you found that at all interesting, but I found it a laugh and half.
