A Most Precious Gift

Peace before me,
Peace within me:
Then I am Truly Blessed

Here, I am a soul
searching for peace.
Stands before me,
a world in a race
spinning out of control.
I know so well
it feels as if it's spinning
out of control.
My life,
which was known to me
before has taken me
to my knees of despair.

Where can I find this peace?
can I find it
through success? I think not?
Monetary means
brings not peace
rather compliance of life.

Why does my soul
long for peace?
I have tried to find it
every where,
outside in this racing world,
than crash, my life, came to sudden darkness.
Suddenly, through time
I'm inspired to search within.

Peace of mind is when a soul
can surrender itself
to God's Plan.
Not only to surrender
but to embrace it
with true faith,
courage and love.
As we know not what plans
He has for us.
You see there is no choice
of A, B, C, or D.

Rather the Lord
presents you with it
and how you decide to embrace
His plan, will determine
how you seek out
the Precious Gift of Peace.
Your embrace and journey
is your gift to Our Creator.

When we can embrace
which He puts before us,
then my friend
we on our way to peace.
You ask what does it feel like?
Well, I am still searching:

But, perhaps it is like
the calming after
a terrible thunderstorm
Its tranquility
a freshness of trees
and flowers at bloom,
birds singing to its sweetness.
Let's not forget
the glorious rainbows that
spread across the horizon
after the darkest of storms.

So when the world is racing by
and storms are all around:
Stop, step back
look within and reach
deeply into your heart
and open it to Our Lord.
For only then
can Peace of mind
be at the corner stone
of your life.

What is prayer?
How can it heal
a wounded soul?
Prayer is a power
Higher than us.

Prayer is love
from the heart and soul.

Prayer is when
the mind surrenders
every woe
to God's entrusted Hands.

Prayer is giving
Life a chance.
Prayer is living
life to God's Plans.
Prayer is a heartfelt gesture
to those in worried times.

Prayer is a triumph
of God's accomplishments.

Prayer is believing
in a Higher Power.

Prayer is tending
to God's gifts big and small.

Prayer is tending
to the garden of life

with all of our heart and soul
open to the Lord.

Prayer can ease
the worries and wounds
of all who open
their heart and soul.

Prayer can lift
us from despair
and strengthen our
fortitude in its place.

Prayer can make a joyful
noise unto the world.

Prayer can make every day life
a journey of peace
and tranquility.

Prayer can ease
our pain along the journey.

Prayer can shorten
the distance
between mending hearts.

Prayer can unite
the human race.

Prayer is bringing
peace to the inner self.
