~ Snow Flakes ~

  Flying, fluttering against the window pane,
  Snow flakes fall just like the rain.
  We are told there aren't two of a kind,
  Since I like things that are different, I don't mind.

  Swirling like dancers in their gown of beautiful white,
  We are fortunate to be able to enjoy this pleasant sight.
  Turning this way and that way against your cheek,
  Putting on a show for everyone they meet.

  They sparkle and shine like jewels in a crown,
  Falling to the ground never making a sound.
  There are all sizes, shapes and design,
Watching them might intoxicate you like drinking wine.
The Angel of December

The Angel of December is the angel of generosity.
The December angel celebrates with us this time of giving gifts to all the wild creatures and to all God's children.
The angel of December leads us to join hands
with people of all races and religions,
recognizing that we are children of the same creator,
and we all share the responsibility of bringing joy
and health upon the earth.
Inspired by December's angel,
we can celebrate this season of brotherhood
by doing one act of kindness everyday of December ...
going out of our way to bring warmth
and light into another's life.

DEAR SANTA,

Snowflakes softly falling
Upon your window they play
Your blankets snug around you,
Into sleep you drift away.

I bend to gently kiss you,
when I see that on the floor
there's a letter, neatly written
I wonder who it's for.

I quietly unfold it
making sure you're still asleep,
It's a Christmas list for Santa
one my heart will always keep.

It started just as always
with the toys seen on TV,
A new watch for your father
and a winter coat for me.

But as my eyes read on
I could see that deep inside
there were many things you wished for
that your loving heart would hide.

You asked if you friend Molly
could have another Dad;
It seems her father hits her
and it makes you very sad.

Then you asked Dear Santa
  if the neighbors down the street
Could find a job, that he might have
  some food, and clothes, and heat.

You saw a family on the news
  whose house had blown away,
"Dear Santa, send them just one thing,
   a place where they can stay."

"And Santa, those four cookies that
  I left you for a treat,
  Could you take them to the children
who have nothing else to eat."

"Do you know that little bear I have
  the one I love so dear?
I'm leaving it for you to take
to Africa this year".

"And as you fly your reindeer
   on this night of Jesus' birth,
  Could your magic bring to everyone
   goodwill and peace on earth".

"There's one last thing before you go,
   so grateful I would be,
  If you'd smile at Baby Jesus
    in the manger by our tree."

I pulled the letter close to me'
I felt it melt my heart.
Those tiny hands had written
what no other could impart.

  "And a little child shall lead them,"
was whispered in my ear
As I watched you sleep on Christmas Eve
while Santa Claus was here.
Tell me again the story of Christmas,
Sing me the songs a hundred times,
I want to remember the beautiful things,
Heart wonder and tinsel and rhymes,
Trim me a tree and light it with love,
Then Bethlehem won't seem far away,
Give me a manger and give me a star,
Then it will be a real Christmas day!

The Magic of Christmas

The magic of Christmas is so many things...
A holly wreath gay and a church bell that rings,
A tree all a-glitter, a candle's soft glow
And moonlight reflected on new-fallen snow;

A kitchen's aroma of sugar and spice,
Bright packages wrapped up so pretty and nice,
Red stockings o'erflowing with candy and toys
And hung by the fireplace for good girls and boys.

The magic of Christmas is found everywhere...
Sweet voices of carolers upon frosted air,
The jingle of sleigh bells across hill and vale,
Glad ring of the postman delivering the mail;

Good friends dropping in and the laughter so gay,
Store windows decked out in delightful display.
Dear Santa Claus chuckling his famed "Ho, ho, ho!"
And little tots whispering as Santa bends low.

The magic of Christmas is so many things...
A candlelit church and a choir that sings,
The being together with people we love,
Belief that the Christmas Star still shines above;

The caring and giving and goodwill towards men,
The Christ Child reborn in our hearts once again,
Contentment and peace and a faith strong within,
A spirit of love that makes all the world kin.

The magic of Christmas is all this and more,
May your day be merry with much joy in store
And may the bright mem'ries and glow ne'er depart...
The magic of Christmas live on in your heart!

What is Christmas?

Is it just a day at the end of the year?
A season of joy, merrymaking and cheer?
Is it people and presents and glittering trees?
Ah no, it is more than any of these.

For under the tinsel and hidden from sight
Is the promise and meaning of that first Christmas night
When the shepherds stood in wondered awe
And felt transformed by what they saw.

So let us not in our search for pleasure
Forego our right to this priceless treasure
For Christmas is a God-given day
And let us remember to keep it that way.

The Secret of Christmas

It's not the glow you feel when snow appears,
It's not the Christmas card you've sent for years,
Not the joyful sound when sleigh bells ring,
Or the merry songs children sing.

The little things you do on Christmas Day
Will not bring back the friend you've turned away.
So may I suggest the secret of Christmas
Is not the things you do at Christmas time,
But the little things you do all year through.

Where Can We Find Santa?

Where can we find Santa?
We can find him everywhere
In thoughtful deeds
Friendly smiles
And the gifts and joys we share.

Where can we find Santa?
We can fin him all year through
In the hearts of special people
And the kind things that they do.

Santa Claus

He comes in the night! He comes in the night!
He softly, silently comes;
While the little brown heads on the pillows so white
Are dreaming of bugles and drums.
He cuts through the snow like a ship through the foam,
While the white flakes around him whirl;
Who tells him I know not, but he findeth the home
Of each good little boy and girl.

His sleigh it is long, and deep, and wide;
It will carry a host of things,
While dozens of drums hang over the side,
With the sticks sticking under the strings.
And yet not the sound of a drum is heard,
Not a bugle blast is blown,
As he mounts to the chimney-top like a bird,
And drops to the hearth like a stone.

The little red stockings he silently fills,
Till the stockings will hold no more;
The bright little sleds for the great snow hills
Are quickly set down on the floor.
Then Santa Claus mont to the roof like a bird,
And glides to his seat in the sleigh;
Not a sound of a bugle or drum is heard
As he noiselessly gallops away.

He rides to the East, and he rides to the West,
Of his goodies he touches not one;
He eateth the crumbs of the Christmas feast
When the dear little folks are done.
Old Santa Claus doeth all tht he can;
This beautiful mission is his;
Then, children be good to the little old man,
When you find who the little man is.

~Here is a Sweet Poem about our Beloved Deceased~
I'm Spending Christmas
With Jesus This Year

I see the countless Christmas trees around the world below.
With tiny lights, like Heaven's stars, reflecting on the snow.
The sight is so spectacular, please wipe away that tear;
For I am spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year.

I hear the many Christmas songs that people hold so dear.
But the sounds of music can't compare with
the Christmas choir up here.
I have no words to tell you the joy their voices bring.
For it is beyond description to hear the angels sing.

I know how much you miss me,
I see the pain inside your heart.
But I am not so far away, we really aren't apart.
I cannot tell you of the splendor
or the peace inside this place
Can you imagine Christmas with our Savior, face to face?

I will ask him to light your spirit as I tell him of your love.
So then pray for one another as you lift your eyes above.
So be happy for me, dear ones, you know I hold you dear.
And be glad I'm spending Christmas
with Jesus Christ this year.

I sent you each a special gift,
from my heavenly home above.
I sent you each a memory of my undying love.
After all, love is a gift more precious than pure gold.
It was always most important in the stories Jesus told.

Please love and keep each other,
as my Father said to do.
For I can't count the blessing
or love he has for each of you.
So have a Merry Christmas and wipe away that tear.
Remember, I am spending Christmas
with Jesus Christ this year.
