Tidus is a star Blitzball player in his hometown Zanarkand. He has followed in his fathers footsteps and has become almost the best. While the Blitzball game is going on, Sin, a strange force attacks and transports Tidus 1000 years in time, to where Zanarkand is nothing other than ruins. He then meets Yuna where he becomes her Guardian and travels with her through the world of Spira to confront Sin and save the world of Spira.

He is very troubled by the fact that he has to defeat his father as Auron told him in Luca, but he knows that it must be done and that his father wants him to. He doesn't tell Yuna though because if she would have known she would not go on with her Journey.

Tidus loves Yuna as Yuna loves him, but they don't let their feelings show until later on. He stays and helps her out through everything and when he found out that he was only a dream, he kept it to himself because he knew he wouldn't be able to stay with Yuna as she had wished. As in Macalania Forest, Yuna was feeling very upset as she started crying as Tidus had asked her to go to Zanarkand with him when they defeated Sin and she knew she couldn't because she would die killing Sin. He then kisses her, not holding back their feelings anymore from each other.

Tidus is a dream. He is not real.. as sad as it is to say :(. The Prayer Children summoned him from their dreams of Zanarkand to help them with the fight against the continue-on of Sin.
